Known as "Annie B,' she aided children
Anna M. Daniel Brockman learned about loving children early in her life and shared that love for decades.
Orphaned at 11, Mrs. Brockman was taken in by an aunt and uncle who did volunteer work at St. Henry Church in Elsmere.
"I suppose that had a lot to do with it," her husband, George E. "Bus" Brockman, said. "She must have had it in her from the time she was a child."
Mrs. Brockman, 71, of Erlanger, died at 6:02 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood. She was a retired collection agent for McAl pin's, Cincinnati.
Affectionately known as "Annie B," she was an "adopted grandmother" for many children and was involved in many service projects promot ing the welfare of children in Northern Kentucky.
Her most recent project was "Read to Me, Love Me" which collected dolls and books for poor children. She had collected more than 200 stuffed animals to distribute this Christmas.
Born in Cleves, Ohio, she moved to Erlanger as a child.
Other survivors include sons, Stephen E. Brockman and Wm. D. Brockman, both of Burlington; daughters, Mary Ann Groeschen of Cold Spring and Janet Eisenmenger of Burlington; and nine grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Henry Church, Elsmere. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Entombment will be in Floral Hill cemetery Mausoleum, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested as Masses.
Alice Catherine Perry Baker, 83, of Williamstown, died at 1:40 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County in Williamstown. She was a homemaker and a member of Williamstown Church of God.
Her first husband, Floyd Cart er Perry, died in 1957. Her second husband, Ray E. Baker, died in 1995. Survivors include sons, Willard Perry of Independence and Clinton Perry of Williamstown; daughters, Alice Morgan of Williamstown and Stella Cook of Corinth; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, with visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Williamstown. Memorials are suggested to Williamstown Church of God, 113 High St., Williamstown, Ky. 41097.
John Olin Ballard, 28, of Hamilton, Ohio, died Thursday at University Hospital, Cincinnati, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Northern Kentucky on Tuesday. He was a truck driver for Rumpke.
Survivors include his parents, Raymond and Rita Ballard of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; a brother, Renny Ballard of Lawrenceburg; sisters, Raema Ballard of Aurora, Ind., and Tammy Frye of Lebanon, Ind.; and grandparents, Olin and Annie Toler of Manchester, Ind.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Markland-Denney Funeral Home, Rising Sun, Ind., with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Cedar Hedge Cemetery, Rising Sun. Memorials are suggested to charity of choice.
John Franklin Booth, 14, of Covington, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at a family residence in Verona. He was a student at Gallatin County Middle School.
His mother, Linda Booth, died in 1991. Survivors include his father, Tony Booth of Covington; a brother, Anthony Booth of Covington; a half-brother, Junior Tippitt of Covington; half-sisters, Danette Tippitt and Kelly Tippitt of Florence; and his grandmother, Mary Overbay of Independence.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Monday at Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Elsmere-Erlanger, with visitation from 4 p.m.
Helen Piles Brown, 80, of Williamstown, died at 8:35 a.m. Friday at Grant Manor Health Care Center in Williamstown. She was a former manager of I- 75 Motel and Restaurant, Williamstown. She was a member of Williamstown Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star in Milford, Ohio, Williamstown Woman's Club and Grant County Homemakers.
A son, Billy Brown, died in 1997. Survivors include her husband, Joseph L. Brown; daughters, Lynda McGaw of Kansas City, Mo., and Betty Alley of Milford, Ohio; a brother, William F. Piles of Williamstown; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, with visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Grant Manor Health Care Center, Kimberly Drive, Williamstown, Ky. 41097.
James G. Bullock, 78, of Burlington, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood. He was a retired methods engineer for G.A. Gray/Warner Swasey Co. and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Bullittsville Christian Church, where he was an elder and choir member.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Deanie" Cress Bullock; daughters, Brenda Roberts of Erlanger and Bonnie Brown of Rochester, Mich.; sons, James E. Bullock of Burlington, Ronald J. Bullock of Leesburg, Fla.; a brother, George Bullock of Hebron; a sister, Mary Catherine Skeen of Florence; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron, with visitation from 2 p.m. Burial will be in Hebron Lutheran Cemetery, Hebron. Memorials are suggested to Bullittsville Christian Church, 3094 Petersburg Road, Bullittsville, Ky. 41005.
Cleo D. Campbell, 87, of California, died Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. She was a homemaker.
Her husband, John Campbell, died in 1981. Survivors include sons, Everett Campbell of California, George Campbell of Goshen, Ohio, Donald Campbell of Cincinnati and Lonnie Campbell of Florence; a brother, Richmond Deaton of Cincinnati; a sister, Opal Combs of Grapevine; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Krypton Bible Center, Perry County, with visitation from 1 p.m. Burial will be in Woodsongut Cemetery, Perry County. Peoples Funeral Home, Grants Lick, is in charge.
Ada Louise Carrigan, 90, of Burlington, died Thursday at Florence Park Care Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Belleview Baptist Church, Boone County, and Order of Eastern Star.
Her husband, Russell Carrigan, died in 1986. Survivors include sons, Meredith Carrigan of Morrinsville, New Zealand, and Michael Carrigan of Chicago; a daughter, Barbara Carrigan of Burlington; six grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington, with visitation from noon. Burial will be in Belleview Baptist Church Cemetery, Boone County.
Harold V. "Bubby" Ellis, 75, of Warsaw, died Friday at his residence. He was a retired auto body repairman and a member of Warsaw Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, and Tadmor F&AM Lodge of Warsaw.
Survivors include daughters, Delores Hopperton of Warsaw and Sandy Perry of Carrollton, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ruth Marie Enzweiler, 71, of Newport, died Thursday at her residence. A retired bookkeeper for Woolworth Department Stores, she was a member of Corpus Christi Missions Council, Daughters of Isabella, St. Ann Society, Corpus Christi Social Club, Friendly Seniors.
Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Cook of Alexandria; sisters, Rose Muehlenkamp, Highland Heights, Henrietta Hurst, Lexington, Mae Quarles, Ladylake, Fla., Virginia Purvis, West Chester, Ohio; a brother, Joseph Enzweiler of Fort Thomas; four grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Corpus Christi Church, Newport. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Newport. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Camp Springs. Memorials are suggested in the form of Masses.
Helen Frances Blackburn Franklin, 88, of Flemingsburg, formerly of Harrison County, died Thursday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, Cynthiana.
Her husband, J.T. Franklin, preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, Paul Kenneth Franklin of Harrison County and John Gary Franklin of Marion, Ind.; a daughter, Ann Claudette Chamblin of Cynthiana; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Edward Church, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana, with the Rosary prayed at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana. Graydon "Mart" Heaverin, 77, of Augusta, died at 1:50 a.m. Friday at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas. He was a retired employee for Berlin Grocery, Lenoxburg, and had worked for Hancock Grocery, Lenoxburg. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Flaugher Heaverin.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Augusta, with visitation from noon. Burial will be in Lenoxburg Cemetery, Foster.
Porter Raisor Sr., 72, of Carroll County, died Thursday at Tri-County Baptist Hospital in La Grange. He was a retired driver for Tip Top Sanitation Co.
His wife, Mary Jane Riley Raisor, and sons, Robert Raisor and Randy Raisor, preceded him in death. Survivors include sons, Porter Raisor Jr. and Larry Raisor of Carrollton; daughters, Anna Sculley, Rosemary Patterson, Patsy Dixon and Dorothy Dixon of Covington, Dorothy Ann Raisor of Cynthiana; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton, with visitation from 10 a.m. and burial in English Cemetery, Carrollton.
F. Edward Sharp, 63, of Wilder, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a regional marketing director with Evergreen America Corp., Fort Mitchell, and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Colette Stratman Sharp; sons, Jeff Sharp of Bellevue and Nick Sharp of Alexandria; a sister, Marie Gunning of Valrico, Fla.; a brother, Harold Sharp of Fort Thomas; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue, with visitation from 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
William O. Sheriff, 66, of Cincinnati, formerly of Covington, died at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday at his residence. He was a telemarketer for Harry's Corner Carpet Center, Sharonville, Ohio.
Survivors include one niece, two nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Cremation will be at Hillside Chapel Crematory, Cincinnati, and burial in Williamstown Cemetery.
Rosemary F. Sketch, 80, of Fort Wright, died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Care Center in Fort Wright. She was a retired manager of the Covington Catholic High School cafeteria, a member of Mother of God Church, Covington, secretary of the church Altar Society, a past secretary of the board of the Ludlow Bromley Swim Club and a longtime poll worker. She was a past officer of the Sts. Boniface and James Church Altar Society, Ludlow; charter member of the Lay School Board of Covington Catholic High School; and a past secretary of Covington Catholic Boosters.
Her husband, Edgar Sketch, died in 1992. Survivors include sons, James Sketch of Cincinnati, Michael Sketch of Villa Hills and Gregory Sketch of Crescent Springs; daughters, Mary Lenihan and Carolyn Basford of Villa Hills, Teresa Bretl of Seattle and Barbara Vaught of Burlington; a sister, Bertha Fritz of Covington; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Edward W. Terlau, 72, of Fort Mitchell, died at 10:23 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood. He was a retired printer for the Army Corps of Engineers.
Survivors include brothers, Joseph H. Terlau and Richard B. Terlau, both of Fort Mitchell.

Thomas O. "Tom" Tyson, 87, of Butler, died Thursday at River Valley Nursing Home in Butler. He traveled with Ringling Brothers Circus for 45 years and had worked for the city of Venice, Fla. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include daughters, Judy Wainscott of Williamstown and Viola Adams of Midland, Texas; sons, Ben Tyson of Independence and Tom Tyson of Arcadia, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with visitation from 1 p.m. Burial will be in Johnsville Cemetery, Bracken County.
Mae Webster, 103, of Covington, died at 2:45 p.m. Friday at Rosedale Manor in Covington. She was a retired seamstress for the former Gidding-Jenny Co., Cincinnati, and a member of Latonia Baptist Church and Daughters of America.
Her husband, Russell Price Webster, died in 1966. Survivors include a son, Russell Webster of Erlanger; daughters, Lauretta Wilkins of West Covina, Calif., and Gloria Anderson of Arcadia, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Velma A. Wihebrink, 87, of Hebron, died Thursday at her residence. She was a retired nurse for St. Elizabeth North Medical Center, Covington, and a member of the Ladies Society at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, Covington.

Richard "Rick" Wilson, 39, of Edgewood, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington. He was an assistant manager at Steak and Pasta Restaurant, Alexandria, and an adviser for Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at the University of Cincinnati. Survivors include his parents, Tom and Barbara Wilson, Edgewood, and a brother, Ron Wilson, Taylor Mill. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia, with visitation 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday and burial in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
Rev. Roy G. Wilson, 89, of Verona, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North Hospice in Covington. A retired farmer and a former employee with Gateway Construction Co., he founded Concord Pentecostal Church, Gallatin County. He preached from age 19 to 87.
His wife, Stella Bailey Wilson, died in 1997. Two sons, Malcolm Wilson and Snowden Wilson, and a daughter, Florence Wilson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include sons, Lewis Wilson, Sparta and Leonard Wilson, Warsaw; daughters, Versie Coyle, Morning View, Mildred Holida of Verona, Ina Durst, Union, Unez Holida of Willard, Ohio, Phyllis Elam, Berea; a sister, Rhunie Bailey, Verona; 23 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona, with visitation 4 to 9 p.m. today and burial in Concord Pentecostal Cemetery, Gallatin County.
