Edith Logan, 79
Edith Bernice Logan, 79, of Vanceburg, Ky., died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 28, 1921, in Leslie County, Ky., a daughter of the late Dan and Cora Bailey Morgan. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are one son, Larry Taulbee of Vanceburg; two daughters, Shirley Bivens and Barbara Forman, both of Vanceburg; three brothers, Argene Morgan of Vanceburg, Aster Morgan of Wendover, Ky., and Cellon Morgan of Hyden, Ky.; four sisters, Dora Maggard of Lebanon, VA., Ernestine Jaegley of Toledo, Ruthine Williams of Wendover and Daffney Pennington of Corbin, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg, with Tony Corns officiating and interment in Black Oak (Ky.) Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Edward H. Logan
GREENUP, Ky. - Edward H. Logan, 78, died Monday at his home in Tucson, Ariz. He had resided there the last 13 years.
Mr. Logan was born in Greenup County, Ky., a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Logan.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Josephine Kotcamp Logan, a son, Earl and a daughter, Margaret., all of Tucson; four brothers, Marshall of Greenup, and Blaine, George and Elwood, all of Tygart Valley, and a sister, Mrs. B. Kotcamp of Wheelersburg.
Mr. Logan had been a grocer in Portsmouth for 25 years.
Funeral services and burial are to be held Thursday at Tucson.

Mrs. Elizabeth Logan
Mrs. Elizabeth Logan, 77, Olive Hill, died Saturday in St. Clarie Medical Center at Morehead following an extended illness.
Mrs. Logan was born May 14, 1905, a daughter of the late George and Louella Lawhorn Hall. Her husband, Milford Logan Sr. died in 1974.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Logan of Marion, Ind.; a grandson whom she reared, Gregory Logan of Goodrich, Mich; three daughters, Miss Pauline Logan of Olive Hill, Mrs. Maxine Ingles of Bainbridge, Ohio, and Mrs. Madeline Herald of Piketon, Ohio; a brother, Bert Hall of Brinegar; two sisters, Mrs. Rosie Webb and Mrs. Bessie Messer, both of Olive Hill; 23 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bowen Chapel Freewill Baptist Church by the Rev. Clifford Price. Burial will be in the Logan Cemetery.
The body has been taken from the Leslie A. Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill to the residence, where friends may call today and Tuesday.

Sister Benigna Logan
CONCORDIA-Sister Benigna Logan, 89, Concordia, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at the Nazareth Motherhouse in Concordia.
Sister Logan had been a Sister of St. Joseph for 65 years. She had been a teacher and administrator in parochial schools throughout the Salina Diocese, as well as in Boonville, Mo., and St. George, Ill.
She was appointed administrator of the Medaille Center in Salina in 1977 and served until she semi-retired in 1980. She moved to Greenleaf and did volunteer work in the parish ministry until 1987.
She was born Elizabeth Rebecca Feb. 3, 1912, in Waterville, the daughter of Charles and Catherine Donigan Logan. She was raised on a farm north of Greenleaf. She entered the novitiate of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Concordia on March 18, 1936, and received her name Benigna Cosolata. She made her first vows on March 19, 1937, and final commitment on Aug. 15, 1940.
No immediate family members survive.
A Bible vigil service was Friday at Nazareth Convent Chapel. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. today at the Convent. Burial will be in Nazareth Convent Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph Retirement Fund or the Apostolic Works of the Sisters and sent in care of Chaput-Buoy Mortuary in Concordia.

Miss Ella Logan
Miss Ella Logan, 76, of Union Township, Portsmouth Rt. 1, died of complications at 11:45 p.m. Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Roe, with whom she had lived for many years.
Miss Logan had been ill for a year.
Born on Oct. 21, 1877, in Garrison, Ky., she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Logan. She was a member of the Christian Church at Red Bush, Ky.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Emrick Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mershon Cemetery.
Friends may cal at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Logan Funeral This Afternoon
Mrs. Elsie Logan, a well known and highly respected resident of Olive Hill, died in a hospital here following an illness of several days. The body was taken to Olive Hill yesterday where the funeral service will be held today and interment made in a cemetery near that place.
Mrs. Logan was the wife of Leonard Logan.

Elva E. Logan, 82, Emerson, died Sunday in Mercy Hospital in Portsmouth following a brief illness.
Mr. Logan was born Apr. 17, 1898, in Lewis County, a son of the late Roe and Lucy Smith Logan. He was a retired farmer. His wife, Mrs. Mary Jane Stevens Logan, died in 1964.
Surviving are a son, Odest Logan of Carthage, Ind., a stepson, Ashby Stevens of Emerson, five daughters, Mrs. Odealean McMahan of Carthage, Mrs., Carma Nolen of Morristown, Ind., Mrs. Ruby Nolen of Bucyrus, Ohio, Mrs., Hazel Nolen of Vanceburg and Miss Ada Logan at home, a sister, Mrs. Daisy McClurg of Carthage, three half brothers, Elbert Conley of Shirley, Ind., Farrel Conley of Carthage and Emery Conley of Michigan, 26 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Leslie A. Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill. Funeral Arrangements are incomplete.

Logan
Elwood Logan, 75, of Ohio River Road, Greenup, Ky., died Friday at home after a long illness.
A native of Greenup County, an a retired farmer, merchant, and former Greenup County commissioner, he was a member of Lloyd (Ky.) Nazarene Church.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Allie Hall Logan, in 1962, he is survived by his wife Lillian Maddox Logan; two sons, Bob Logan of Greenup, and Bronston Logan of Wurtland, Ky.; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Lewis of Morehead, Ky., Mrs. Janet Johnson of Lloyd, Mrs. Georgiann Allen of Newark, and Mrs. Carol Plummer of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mrs. Bess Kotcamp of Oak Hill and Mrs. Eldean Harris of Carey; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Service is 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Frank McKinney officiating, and interment in Kehoe (Ky.) Cemetery.
Friends may call at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., from 10 a.m. until the service.
The family's favorite Charity is the Lloyd Nazarene Church Building Fund.

Ernest Logan
Ernest Logan, 55, of St. Paul, Ky., died at 7 a.m. Sunday in Smith - Everett Hospital. He had been ill one year.
Mr. Logan was manager of the Delicious Fruit Farm at St. Paul.
He was born in Greenup County, Oct. 16, 1902, a son of the late Bias and Lula Taylor (sic.) Logan.
Surviving are his wife Ellen Osborne Logan; two sons, Walter of South Portsmouth, and Paul of Columbus, Mrs. Lillian Harr and Mrs. Annie Smith, both of St. Paul, Mrs. Irma Harr of Conneaut, Ohio, and Norma Jean at home; a brother Vernon Logan of Warnock, Ky.
Also surviving are three half-sisters two half-brothers and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Christian Church. Rev. Altie Bowman will officiate. Burial will be in Green cemetery under direction of Roberson Funeral Home.

Ernest Logan, 56
Ernest "Ernie" Dale Logan, 56, of Oak Hill, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at a Chillicothe hospital.
He was born June 26, 1947, in Scioto County, a son of the late William Robert and Stella Minor Logan. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran.
Survivors include sons, James and Jerry Logan; daughter, Trina Logan; brothers, Eddie and Roger Logan; sisters, Sandy Ockerman and Sandra Baker; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Burial will follow at the convenience of the family in South Solon.

Funeral services for Ernest Dillard Logan, 76, of 3951 ½ Stanton Ave., New Boston are to be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pennington Funeral Home with Ben Fraley, minister, officiating.
Logan died Saturday at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Bessie Evans Logan in 1932.

Hiram Logan, 5914 Glen Ave., Sciotoville; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Interment is to be in Rushtown Cemetery.
