Ethel Logan
Ethel E. Logan of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1992, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
Born in Greenup, Ky., a daughter of the late George and Stella Myers Miller, she was a member of Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union and Lucasville Chapter Eastern Star.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert R. Logan, in Apr. 1881.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Logan of Columbus and Donald Logan of Portsmouth; a daughter, Dorothy Tuggle of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, Dutch Miller of Detroit; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Cedar Street Church, with the Rev. Robert Barth officiating, and interment in Memorial Burial Park.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Pennington-Bishop Funeral Home in New Boston, where Eastern Star rites are scheduled at 8 p.m.

Evelyn Logan, 80
Evelyn Logan, 80, of New Boston, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1993, at home.
Born July 19, 1913, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Walter and Alice Collis McCarty, she was a former bookkeeper for Phoenix Pie Co., a member of First United Methodist Church of Portsmouth and its Crusaders Sunday School Class. She served on the church's administrative council and as a member and treasurer of the church's Forever Young Group.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Logan, Aug. 15, 1980; and a sister, Edith Staker.
Surviving are a sister, Garnet M. Schisler of Portsmouth; four nephews, James Staker, Thomas Staker, and Lester Schisler, all of Portsmouth, and Walter David Schisler of Columbus; a niece, Mary Alice Bailey of Portsmouth; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Daehler Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with the Rev. Don Meadows officiating, and interment in Memorial Burial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The family's favorite charity is the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Fada Logan
Mrs. Fada McFarland Logan, 77, of 5204 Hocking St. Sciotoville, died at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday at her residence. She had been ill two months.
Born Nov. 1, 1883, in Greenup County, she was a daughter of Farris and Amanda Justice McFarland.
Surviving are two sons, Farris Lowder, 3930 Stanton Ave., New Boston, and Erwin of Detroit, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Agnes Smith, 3926 Stanton Ave., New Boston; four brothers, Mathus of South Webster, Sanford of Cleveland, James of Quincy, KY and Linville of the home; a sister, Mrs. Lottie Logan of Columbus; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Logan was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Rome Lowder; second husband Samuel Logan who died in 1932, a son, four bothers and a sister.
Mrs. Logan was a member of the Church of Christ at Greenup.
Funeral services are to be at 2 p.m. Friday at Gill Funeral Home with Rev. Thruman Thompson officiating, Burial is to be in Vernon Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.

MOREHEAD - Forest Eugene Logan, 50, son of Elizabeth Easton Logan, passed away Monday. Funeral services 1 pm Saturday, Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Francis M. Logan
Francis Marion Logan a retired Norfolk & Western employee passed away at 5:40 am. today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. John Kitchen, 3154 Walnut street with whom he lived. He had been ill a week and death was attributed to infirmities.
Mr. Logan was born and reared in Greenup county, Ky., where he lived until 1917, when he came to Portsmouth. He worked for the N & W until 1922 when he retired. Mr. Logan had been for 35 years a minister of the Christian church of Greenup county and was a member of First Christian church Greenup. On Nov. 23 1889, he married
Sarah Martin, who died in 1895.
Besides the daughter at whose home he died, Mr. Logan is survived by a son, Francis M. Jr. 3154 Walnut street and two other daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Logan 3115 Walnut street, and Mrs. Emma Cyrus of Rarden route 1. He also leaves 30 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday at Emrick's funeral home with Rev. Hollie Conley officiating. Burial will be in Rushtown cemetery. The body will be at the Kitchen residence until Saturday morning, when it will be taken to the funeral home for rites.

Francis Marion Logan
Francis Marion Logan, 54, of 3166 Walnut St.. died at 12:10 a.m. today at Athens state hospital. Mr. Logan had been ill for about a year.
He was a former Vulcan Corp. employee and a member of Mabert Road Baptist church.
He was born Feb. 25, 1894, at Greenup, a son of Francis and Sarah Martin Logan.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Emma Cyrus, 3048 Walnut st., Mrs. Myrtle Logan, 3124 Walnut st. and Mrs. Lottie Kitchen., 3166 Walnut st.; one grandchild, Barbara Volz of Columbus. His wife, his parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Final rites will be a Mabert Road Baptist church at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Hollie Conley officiating. Interment will be in Memorial park cemetery under the direction of Emrick funeral home.
The body will be moved to the residence at 3166 Walnut st. tonight.

Frank Logan Buried Near Home Saturday
Otho Logan, Cousin, To Be Arraigned At Greenup Tuesday As Wielder of Club Which Killed Him
Greenup: Funeral service for Frank Logan, 43, Lewis County farmer who was fatally injured in a fight at the home of a distant cousin, Otho Logan, 25, Thursday night was buried in the family cemetery near his home Saturday afternoon. Funeral service was held at the home under the direction of L. G. Stapf and Co., of Greenup.
Logan, who lives in Greenup Co., on Big White Oak Creek, was arrested Friday afternoon by Greenup Co., officers and brought to the county jail here pending the outcome of a hearing scheduled before County Judge W. S. Wheatley.
The alleged slayer claims Frank Logan and his son, Orin, came to his home drinking. A party was in progress. He says they became abusive and he and the elder Logan went outside to settle the argument. He charges Logan hit him with a gun butt twice before he defended himself by striking the slain man with a piece of wood. The blow fractured his skull, Logan dying early Friday morning . During the fight some one shot Orin Logan in the back. At last reports he was reported to be recovering from the wound.
The dead man is survived by ten children, Orin, Orville, Sybil, Lillian, Evelyn, Elizabeth, Marvin, James, Sam and Lucy, all at home, two sisters and five brothers. Mrs. Julia Miller of Argentum, Ky., Mrs. Hertilyne Reister of Brushhart, Ky., Earnest, Sam and Albert of Sciotoville, Ohio, George of Wheelersburg and Henry of Portsmouth.

Frank Logan
Vanceburg, Ky. - Frank Logan, 68, of Vanceburg, died Monday in Hayswood Hospital in Maysville.
A retired farmer he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby Crawford Logan, three sons, Frank E. of Mansfield, Ohio and Charles W. and Larry D. both of Vanceburg; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Lykins and Mrs. Wayne Gilliam, both of Vanceburg and Mrs. Lovell Carver of Mansfield; three brothers, George of Vanceburg, Willie of Fleming County and Tom of Jackson, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Dollie Rigdon of Femingsburg, (sic.) and four grandchildren.
Services are to be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home here, with interment in Lewis County Memory Gardens,

Logan
NEW BOSTON - Frederick Logan Jr., 60, of 525 Glenwood Ave., died Tuesday at a Huntington, W. Va. hospital.
A Scioto County native and a World War II veteran, he was member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Emily Shockley Logan, a step-daughter, Mrs. Sandra Kistner, of Elyria; a stepson, Thomas Widner of Avon, and two stepgrandchildren.
Services are planned at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pennington Funeral Home, with Rev. Walter Gatton officiating, and burial in Wheelersburg Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Gary Richard Logan
Gary Richard Logan, 49, of Latham, Ohio, died at his home on Monday, July 5, 2004.
He was born on March 28, 1955, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of the late James Alfred and Wilda Jean Stamper Logan.
On June 1, 1973, Gary was united in marriage to Connie Sue (Nunnery) Logan who survives. Also surviving are a son, Josh Logan of Latham; a daughter, Angela Sue Logan Bentley and her husband John Vent Bentley III of Waverly, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Dalton, Taylor and Payton Creed Bentley.
Gary was a 1974 Graduate of Lewis County High School of Lewis County, Ky., a veteran of the Kentucky National Guard and a Union Carpenter.
A memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly.

George Logan
George Logan, 56, of the Allentown community east of Wheelersburg on old Route 52, died at 2:35 a.m. today at Mercy Hospital.
Mr. Logan was a crane operator for Detroit Steel Corp. Portsmouth Division and he has resided in the Wheelersburg vicinity for the last 25 years.
Mr. Logan was born in Lewis Co., Ky., June 23, 1899, a son of Samuel Logan and Lucy Felty Logan.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the CIO-United Steelworkers Union Local No. 2116.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Keeney Logan; two daughters, Mrs. Lorena Cooper of Allentown, and Mrs. Louise Webb of Columbus; two grandchildren; Connie Sue and Gary Webb; three brothers, Samuel of Sciotoville Rt. 4, Albert, of Milford Rt. 1, and Henry, of Newark, Ohio; sister, Hurtline Logan of Tygart Valley, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Logan was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
The body is to be moved from Harrison Funeral Home to the residence at noon Saturday. Funeral services are arranged tentatively for 2 p.m. Monday.
