Bowhunter Everett Hofstetter, taught kids
Everett M. Hofstetter spent time teaching children how to hunt, fish and camp.
"He comes from a big family and he's always had children around him," said his wife, Sophia Hofstetter. "Children liked being around him. He just had that personality."
Mr. Hofstetter, 80, of Alexandria, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
He was a carpenter for Valcom Enterprises Inc. in Wilder. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a past commander of Campbell County VFW Post No. 3205, Alexandria.
Mr. Hofstetter was a member of Edward W. Boers American Legion Post No. 153, Dayton; the DeLizards Club and Brush Creek Bowhunters Club, both in Alexandria; a member of Cooties Pup Tent 2 in Campbell County; and a charter member of Campbell County Bowhunters. He was recognized with awards from the Campbell County Bowhunters, the Northern Kentucky and state bowhunters associations, Sons of VFW and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was active in the Sons of VFW program, taking children hunting and fishing.
Mr. Hofstetter also enjoyed bowling, gardening and throwing horseshoes.
He also loved spending time with his family - his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
"He was all the time helping somebody," Mrs. Hofstetter said. "He was a very loveable person."
Other survivors include his daughters, Peggy NeCamp of Alexandria and Sophia "Skeeter" Nelson of Butler; brothers, Fritz Hofstetter of Crittenden and Herman Hofstetter of Alexandria; sisters, Elsie McCormick of Alexandria, and Ethel Hofer and Hazel Hofer, both of Cincinnati; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery.
Herma Mae Adkins, 88, of Covington, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a self-employed beautician and a member of Garrard Street Church of Christ, Covington.
Survivors include her husband, Guy Adkins.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.
Elsie F. Reichardt Allen, 88, of Florence, died Tuesday at Woodspoint Nursing Home in Florence. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Lamont Allen, died in 1981.
Survivors include a sister, Marie Fender of Covington.
No services are planned. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness, Fla. Cremation Society of Greater Cincinnati is handling arrangements.
Anthony J. Florimonte, 64, of Alexandria, died at 7:58 p.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. He was a retired pipefitter with Cincinnati Gas & Electric, a former Bellevue police officer and the former owner of Antonio's Pizza in Bellevue.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Florimonte; sons, Michael Florimonte of Bellevue, Roger Deardoff of Peebles, Ohio, and Tony Florimonte and Mark Florimonte, both of Cincinnati; daughters, Paris Groh of Alexandria and Toniann Florimonte Johnson of Walton; brothers, Angelo Florimonte and Joseph Florimonte, both of Cincinnati; sisters, Helen Cerchio, Antoinette Odenbach and Anna Marie Sprecker, all of Cincinnati; and 10 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Church, Alexandria. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Alexandria Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery.
Craig S. Hall, 51, of Crescent Springs, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a maintenance man with International Village Apartments, Crescent Springs, and a member of St. Joseph Church, Crescent Springs. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his father, Walter T. Hall of Crescent Springs; and a sister, Mary Ann Brazee of Kalamazoo, Mich.
No services are planned. Cremation will be at Hillside Chapel, Cincinnati. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, is handling arrangements.
Carl J. Hoffman, 82, of Highland Heights, died at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday at his home. He was a self-employed butcher and owner of Cold Spring Market. He was a former board member of the Northern Kentucky Bank & Trust, a member of St. Joseph Church in Cold Spring, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn M. Simmons Hoffman; sons, Ronald Hoffman of Lexington and Kenneth J. Hoffman of Chicago; daughters, Susan L. Pauly and Lori J. Hamilton, both of Cincinnati; a brother, Lawrence Hoffman of Independence; and six granddaughters.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northern Kentucky, 1403 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, Ky. 41075.
Tinnie Jones, 81, of Covington, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington.

Justin M. McGrath, 8 days, the son of Dennis and Ronda Broxterman McGrath of Alexandria, died Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati from complications of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He was a quadruplet.
Other survivors include brothers, William Weil and Stephen Weil, both of Cincinnati, Shawn McGrath and Joseph McGrath, both of Alexandria; sisters, Patricia Weil of Cincinnati and Alisha McGrath of Alexandria; and grandparents, Mary Ann McGrath of Cold Spring, Ralph Broxterman of Clermont County, Ohio, and Barb Bollman of Lawrenceburg.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas. Hazel Louise Gaines Payne, 60, of Covington, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, David Payne Jr.; sons, Derwin M. Robinson of Covington and Wardale Robinson; daughters, Delta Payne of Covington and Marthea Payne of Cincinnati; a sister, Rosetta Gaines of Elsmere; and several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Will E. Phillips, 82, of Fort Wright, died Wednesday at his home.

William Henry Reusch, 67, of Florence, died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. He was a retired agent and auditor with the Internal Revenue Service, a former member of the Knights of St. John, and a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Reusch; sons, Steven William Reusch of Ludlow and Paul Colson Reusch of Florence; daughters, Beth Machlitt of Villa Hills and Catherine Emma Conyers of Cincinnati; sisters, Dorothy Stricker of Dry Ridge and Joan Baute of Lakeside Park; and three grandchildren.

Louis Sherman Ringe, 82, of Florence, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence. He was an employee of the Daily Racing Form.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemarie Ringe of Florence.

Timothy Lee Tomlin, 36, of Dry Ridge, died Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, of complications following a seizure.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Joyce Bryan and Warren Millar of Dry Ridge; brothers, Michael Tomlin of Dry Ridge, Robert Tomlin of Corinth and Warren "Skip" Millar of Hebron; sisters, Sherry Barnette of Michigan, Terrie Turner of Dry Ridge, Joan Wilburn of Hebron and Terry Millar of Hebron.
