Dorothy Smith Ballinger, 73, of Latonia, died at 5:40 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
She was a homemaker and a member of Visalia Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde Ballinger; a son, Carl Ballinger of Nashville, Tenn; daughters, Dixie Meyer and Sherry Rehkamp, both of Independence; brothers, Carl Smith of California, David Smith of Taylor Mill, Gene Smith of Ryland Heights and Earl Smith of Covington; sisters, Frances Rust of Madisonville and Ruth Bishop of Covington; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.

Thomas James Henry, 69, of Florence, died at 2 p.m. Thursday at his home.
He was a retired clerk for the U.S. Post Office, Covington, and an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of St. Paul Church, Florence, and Florence Lions Club.
His wife, Dolores M. Henry, died in 1994. Survivors include sons, Daniel Henry of Cold Spring, David Henry and John Henry, both of Florence, and Thomas Henry Jr. of Erlanger; daughters, Donna Henry and Linda Henry, both of Florence, and Mark Fisk of Columbus, Ohio; and 12 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:10 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Church, Florence.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Entombment will be in St. Mary cemetery Mausoleum, Fort Mitchell.

Ben H. Hopperton, 88, of Verona, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.
He was a retired track laborer for L&N Railroad, and an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Verona, and the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Wayrail workers' union.
His wife, Kathryn Wilson Hopperton, died in 1978.
Survivors include a brother, John Hopperton of Erlanger; and one step grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton-Stanley Fu neral Home, Verona.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Verona.
Rev. Robert O'Neal Humphry, 62, of Covington, died at 8:40 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington.

Flonnie Jones Morris, 92, of Owenton, died Friday at Owenton Manor.
She was a homemaker and a member of Dallasburg Baptist Church, Worthville.
Her first husband, Smith Stafford; her second husband, Archie Morris; and a son, Paul "Poppy" Stafford, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Donnie Beck Stafford of Wheatley; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McDonald Funeral Home, Main Street, Owenton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Owenton IOOF Cemetery.

Lillie Lucille Phillips, 70, of Covington, died at 5:25 p.m. Thursday at Drake Center, Cincinnati.
She was a retired registered nurse.
Survivors include sons, Jack L. Phillips Jr. and Joe D. Phillips, both of Nashville, Tenn.; daughters, Harriet Hutton of Covington and Elizabeth Bradstreet; brothers, Robert Stout of Memphis, Tenn., and Billy Stout of Jackson, Tenn.; a sister, Gracie Austin of Jackson, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Covington.
Visitation will begin at noon Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Linden Grove Cemetery, Covington.
Bryan Lee Proctor, 24, of Carrollton, died Friday at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
He was a car detailer for Brad's Car Care, Carrollton, and a member of Open Door Baptist Church, Carrollton.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Ann Harell Proctor; a daughter, Mary Ann Proctor of Carrollton; his parents, Leslie Earl Proctor Sr. and Karen Sue Hauck Proctor of Cincinnati; a brother, Leslie E. Proctor Jr. of Carrollton; and a grandfather, Carl W. Hauck of Deltona, Fla.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton.

Edward Pruitt, 74, of Covington, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday at his home.
He was a retired structural steel worker associated with Iron Workers Union No. 44, Cincinnati, and a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Globetrotter VFW Post No. 6428, Addyston, Ohio.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Wells Pruitt; a son, Edward Lee Pruitt of Cincinnati; daughters, Donna Hicks of West Harrison, Ohio, and Sugar Klette and Cathy Tebbenkamp, both of North Bend, Ohio; a sister, Ester Mae Stringer of Cincinnati; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow.

Mary E. Shelton, 88, of Alexandria, died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday at Jewish Hospital, Kenwood, Ohio.
She was a retired head cashier for Sears, Roebuck and Co.
Her husband, Floyd L. Shelton, died in 1968. Survivors include sons, Ralph Shelton of Cincinnati and Robert Shelton of Alexandria; a sister, Ann Vogelson of Florence; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alexandria Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.
Russell Tanner, 80, of Wilder, died at 4:36 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington.
He was a retired traffic manager for Shedd-Bardy Foods and an Army veteran of World War II.
A son, Michael Tanner, died in 1952, and another son, Patrick Tanner, died in 1957.
Survivors include his wife, Sabina Nagel Tanner.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South gate.
