James B. Logan
GREENUP, Ky. - James Blaine Logan, 84, of Warnock died Monday night at his residence after an extended illness.
Logan, a Greenup County native, was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gladys Plummer Logan; two sons, William Marshall Logan and Forrest Glenn Logan both of Greenup Rt. 2; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Lois Patton of Ashland and Mrs. Ethel Burgess of Portsmouth, Ohio; two stepsons Roy Floyd of Greenup Rt. 2 and Ray Floyd of Ashland; two half-brothers, Elwood Logan and Marshall Logan Sr., both of Ohio River Rd. Greenup; four half sisters, Mrs. Eddie (sic., Addie) Frazee of Leatherwood, Mrs. Eldean Harris of Carey, Ohio; Mrs. Bess Kotcamp of South Webster, Ohio, and Mrs. Nellie Adkins of San Diego, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
Arrangements are under direction of Riggs Funeral Home.

Man Dies from fall injuries
A 19-year-old Lloyd, Ky. youth died at 4 a.m. Saturday in Cabell Huntington Hospital of injuries received in a fall Friday at 7 p.m. at the Wurtland Nazarene Church.
Jeffrey Scott Logan, of Ohio River Road, was reportedly helping with remodeling work at the church, when an extension ladder he was on broke and fell into a power line. He then fell from the ladder, hitting his head, according to police report.
Born May 12, 1962 at Russell, he was the son of Billy H. and Judy Martin Logan. He graduated from Greenup County High School in 1980 and was attending Mount Vernon Nazarene College, Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was a member of the Wurtland Nazarene Church and was a licensed minister.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Gregory and Steven Logan, both at home; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Louise Martin of Coal Branch Road, Greenup; and the paternal grandparents, Elwood and Lillian Logan of Lloyd.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wurtland Nazarene Church by the Rev. Charles Sparks. Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery, Lloyd. Friends may call at Riggs Funeral Home, Greenup, after 1:30 p.m. Monday. The body will lie in state at the church one hour preceding the services.

JESSIE LOGAN DIES AT AGE OF 80
Jessie Logan, 80, a native of Lewis County, died yesterday at 7:05 am in Fleming County Hospital following a long illness. Mr. Logan, a retired farmer and landowner in the Goddard community, had been hospitalized several times during the past year. Death was attributed to complications.
Mr. Logan had a wide circle of friends who will be saddened by the news of his passing. His friendly personality and generosity were but two of his many fine character traits.
Born November 2, 1885, he was a son of the late Thomas and Pricilla Thacker Logan, both natives of Lewis County.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Belle Richmond Logan, several nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 pm at the Boone Funeral Home in Flemingsburg by the Rev. Jake Planch, of Rowan County. Burial will be in the Goddard Cemetery.
The remains are at the funeral home where friends may call after noon today.

John Logan
Greenup, Jan. 13 - Pending the arrival of the children funeral arrangements are being delayed for John Logan, 66 year old farmer who died Tuesday at 9 a.m. at his Oldtown home after being ill since Saturday with a heart ailment.
He is survived by his wife, Narua; five daughters and six sons, Mrs. Nellie Traylor of Portsmouth, William of Greenup, Mrs. Ruth Osborne of Load, Private Hubert Logan of Oklahoma, Corporal Clifford Logan of Denver, Colo., Harlan, Dennis and Mrs. Eunice Skeens of Milford Center, O., Mrs. Opal Littleton of Columbus and Octavia and Clyde at home.

Heart Attack Proves Fatal To Oldtown Resident
Greenup - John Logan, 66, of Oldtown died Tuesday at his home following a heart attack.
Surviving are his widow and eleven children, William of Greenup, Mrs. Nellie Traylor of Portsmouth, O., Mrs. Ruth Osborn of Load, Pvt. Hubert Logan of Oklahoma, Corp. Clifford Logan of Denver, Colo., Dennis, Mrs. Eunice Skeens, Milford Center, O., Mrs. Opal Littleton, Columbus, O., Octavia and Clyde at home.
No funeral arrangements have been made.

John M. Logan
A great-great-grandfather, John M. Logan, 84, of Wheelersburg, native of Greenup co., died leaving 134 direct descendants. He was stricken ill two weeks ago while visiting relatives in Columbus and passed away Wednesday in the capital city.
The father of 22 children, seven who preceded him in death, he is survived by 71 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Logan was born Dec. 10, 1861.
Among his survivors are his wife, Stella, and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Ocie Logan of South Webster, Mrs. Elsie Logan of Portsmouth, and Ernest and Flossie Logan of Portsmouth, H. O. Logan of Sciotoville, Mrs. Alice Preston, Brady, Danny and Clarence Logan and Mrs. Ruby Mulligan of Columbus, Herbert Logan of Vanceburg, Mrs. Ollie Dameron of Baltimore, Mrs. Annie Clark of Wheelersburg, Mrs. Bertha Sharp of Oak Hill and Elva Logan of Ft. Dix, N. J.
Funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Mabert Road Baptist church with Rev. Hollie Conley in charge. Interment will be in Logan cemetery in Brushart, Ky., under direction of Morton funeral home. The body is at the home of a son H. O. Logan at 5914 Glenn av. in Sciotoville, where it will remain until the funeral hour.

Emerson, Ky. - John S. Logan, 78, of Emerson, died Monday at the Senior Citizens Community Center here of an apparent heart attack.
A retired farmer, he was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Fay Miller Logan, October 1977.
Survivors include two sons, Harlan of Midway and Arthur of Frankfort; two daughters, Edith Midge Richmond of Emerson and Irene Miller of Olive Hill; two brothers, Arthur of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Burton of Grayson; five sisters, Mrs. Raymond Enix and Opal Osborn, both of Portsmouth, Bertha McDonald of Knightstown, Va., Norma Richmond of Carthage, Ind., and Mrs. Jewell Zornes of Emerson; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Service are planned at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian Holiness Church at Troth Camp, with Rev. Wesley Shumaker officiating and burial in Bowen Chapel cemetery at Globe.
Friends may call at the Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg from 6 to 9 tonight and until time of services Wednesday.

Joyce Darlene Kiser Logan
Joyce Kiser Logan, 62, of West Portsmouth, died Thursday, March 19, 1998, at a Cleveland Hospital.
Joyce was born May 31, 1935, in Lower Grassey, Carter County, Ky., to the late Epp and Myrtle Counts Kiser. She was homemaker, a member of the Dry Run Church of Christ, Scioto Antique Motor Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Tallige Fire Association and Colonial Dames, Bathsheba Rouse Green Chapter.
She is survived by her husband Floyd Logan, whom she married May 8, 1965, in Lower Grassey; a son, Thomas W. Logan of South Shore, Ky.; a daughter Tammy R. Logan of West Portsmouth; four brothers, Epp David Kiser of Lower Grassey, Galen W. Kiser, W. John Kiser and Jack D. Kiser, all of Lexington, Ky.; a sister, Jewell M. Logan of Greenup, Ky.; and three grandchildren, Keri, Dustin, and Jesse Logan all of South Shore.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, with Mark Seever officiating, and burial in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and one hour before the service Monday.

Kenneth Logan
AKRON, Ohio - Kenneth Ray "Jack" Logan, 50, of Akron, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at this home following a sudden illness.
Mr. Logan was a son of the late William and Lillie Mae Logan.
He was a former employee of General Tire and Rubber Co., in Akron, a member of Mogador B.P.O.E 1092 and Mogador V.F.W. 8484 and a Korean War Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Verna Lou Sizemore Logan; a son, Kenneth Logan at home; two daughters, Elizabeth Logan at home and Mrs. Tinna Logan; a brother, Curtis Logan of Greenup; and a sister Mrs. Delores Jones of New Boston, Ohio.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Riggs Funeral Home in Greenup by the Rev. Al Shaw. Burial followed in Brick Union Cemetery.

Kenneth Logan, 76, of Lake Placid, Fla., formerly of Olive Hill, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, in the Lake Placid Health Care Facility.
Mr. Logan was born June 19, 1927, in Carter County, Ky.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Stapert Logan.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at the Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill. Burial will be in the Logan Cemetery.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday and until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.

Labe Logan
Labe Logan, 74, of Carthage, Ind., died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1981 at Rush Memorial Hospital.
Born in Lewis County, Ky., on Dec. 2, 1906, he was the son of W. M. and Rena Gilliam Logan. He was retired from the Container Corporation of America in Carthage after 28 years of service. He was a member of the Greenfield Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Spence Logan of Carthage; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Violet) McColley of Carthage and Mrs. Anthony (Bernita) Fouts of Lawton, Okla.; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Thurston Logan of Columbus; and two sisters, Julia of Atmore, Ala., and Mrs. Emma Fooks of Baltimore, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Butcher Funeral Home, Knightstown, with the Rev. Donald R. Logan and the Rev. Clark Culp officiating. Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery.

Funeral services are to be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Robertson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., for Lee Logan, 54, who died Sunday night.
Logan, a native of Carter Co., KY., was an employe of Harbison-Walker Refactories, and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Adkins Logan; three sons, Michael, Ronald and Charles, all of South Shore; four stepsons, John and Melvin Brown of South Shore, Virgil Brown of Baltimore, Md., and Lenny Adkins of Peebles; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Darlene Potter of Maloneton, Ky., and Mrs. Noretta Potter of South Shore; six brothers, Carl of Columbus, Jack of Haggerstown, Ind., Lloyd of South Shore, Floyd of West Portsmouth, Bert of Mansfield and Enock of Danvers, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Bryant of Udell, Iowa and Mrs. Myrtle Murray of Portsmouth, and 21 grandchildren.
Services are to be conducted by Rev. Paul Pennington, with burial to be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Military rites are to be conducted by James L. Flannery Post American Legion.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight, from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and until the funeral hour Thursday.
