Elsmere's Edward Losey, devoted himself to family
Edward Wallace Losey always surrounded himself with family.
"He was a good father," said his wife, Audrey Finley Losey. "He'd have big picnics for the kids. He enjoyed being around his children and grandchildren."
Mr. Losey, 67, of Elsmere, died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday at his home.
He was a retired varnish cook with Inmont Co., Cincinnati, and a member of First Church of God, Latonia.
Mrs. Losey was divorced with four children when she married
Mr. Losey more than 30 years ago.
"He raised them just like they were his own children," she said. "They all loved him as their own father."
Mr. Losey also enjoyed camping and bowling.
Other survivors include his sons, Robert Waibel of Florence, Ralph Waibel of Hebron, Edward J. Losey of Erlanger and David Losey of Elsmere; daughters, Joyce Faust of Ludlow and Tina Powers of Erlanger; his mother, Gladys Losey of Erlanger; sisters, Janice Fichlie of Crescent Park and Joyce Yelton of Elsmere; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Ava Louellen Losey Bradford, 82, of Butler, died Thursday at the River Valley Nursing Home, Butler.

James Stanley Capek, 67, of Highland Heights, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeside Place Nursing Home in Highland Heights.
He was a retired metal polisher with McGregor Sporting Goods, and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Ludlow.
Survivors include a daughter, Marlene Capek of Northern Kentucky; sons, Michael Capek of Owenton, Jimmy Capek of Cincinnati and Ronald Capek of Covington; a sister, Marilyn Tremper of Cincinnati; and several grandchildren.
No services are planned. Cremation will be at Baxter Cremation Co., Cincinnati.
Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue, is handling arrangements.
Martha Litha Craddock, 67, of Williamstown, died Wednesday at Grant Manor Health Care Center in Williamstown.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grassy Creek Christian Church, Demossville.
Her husband, Robert Craddock, died in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Rick Craddock of Demossville; a brother, Ed Jones Jr. of Florence; a sister, Frances McManama of Florence; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home, Dry Ridge.
Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will be in Gardnersville Cemetery.

N. S. Nick Furnish, 79, of Hebron, died Thursday at his home.

John Myrick, 79, of Georgetown, Fla., formerly of Peach Grove, died Wednesday at Putman Hospital in Palatka, Fla.
He was a retired iron worker and member of the Iron Workers Local No. 44, Cincinnati.
His wife, Bertha Myrick, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Jack Myrick of Georgetown; a sister, Christine Matlock of Butler; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Peach Grove Cemetery.
Bonnetta Piner, 83, of Cincinnati, died Thursday at Hospice of Cincinnati.

Lawrence John Rohling, 85, of Alexandria, died Thursday at Lakeside Place Nursing Home, Highland Heights.

Steve Tunning, 70, of Florence, died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday at his home.
He was a truck driver with Crossett Co., Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Tunning; sons, Steve Tunning of Florida, Ron Tunning of Covington, Jeff Tunning of Burlington and Paul Stutzenberger of Fort Thomas; daughters, Debra Smith of Erlanger, Susan Mitchell and Karen Fausz, both of Florence; and also 11 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Elsmere.
Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.
