Rita A. Hub, homemaker and volunteer
Rita A. Hub's family will remember her every time they look around their homes.
Mrs. Hub, 85, of Fort Mitchell, enjoyed buying pieces of beat-up antique furniture, refinishing them and distributing them to her three sons.
Mrs. Hub died Tuesday at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport.
"Everybody's got a piece here and there, " son William Hub of Covington said.
He said his mother enjoyed volunteering at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where she and a few other women wrote sympathy cards on behalf of the hospital to bereaving families.
She was also a homemaker and member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Fort Mitchell. Her husband, Wilbur G. Hub, died in 1986.
In addition to her son, William, survivors include sons, Ronald Hub of Stanton and Stephen Hub of Toronto, Canada; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Pauline Faulhaber, 79, of Pendleton County, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
Arrangements are pending at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth.
George Fenton, 80, of Dayton, died Jan. 29 at his home. He was a retired psychiatric nurse with Rollman Psychiatric Hospital in Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Regina Fenton; sons, Chris Fenton and Shane Smith, both of Dayton, and G.W. Fenton of Bellevue; daughters, Barb Tallon of Latonia and Beth Fenton of Newport; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
No services are planned. Mr. Fenton bequeathed his body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
Donald Graham Himes, 73, of Alexandria, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a retired employee of CSX and Trinity United Methodist Church, Latonia.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Irwin Himes; children, Jeffrey Himes and Robin Himes, both of Coeymans, N.Y.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Barbour & Son Funeral Home, Tollesboro. Visitation will begin there at noon Friday. Burial will be at Hillcrest Garden of Memories, Tollesboro. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Lodge No. 240, Tollesboro, Ky. 41189.
Walter Dooley, 56, of Covington, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday at his home. He was a material handler with Atapco Co.
Survivors include his wife, Lula Dooley; sons, Michael Sizemore, Donald Sizemore, Greg Sizemore and Shaw Sizemore, all of Covington, and Timothy Sizemore of Fort Apache, Ariz.; daughters, Delphine Cecil and Kimberly Warren, both of Cincinnati; a sister, Mary Warren of Covington; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Cremation will be at Hillside Chapel, Cincinnati. Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.
Esther Sue McIntosh, 60, of Newport, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Walter McIntosh; a daughter, Donna McIntosh of Newport; sons, Richard McIntosh, Randall McIntosh, Ronald McIntosh, Kenneth McIntosh and Steven McIntosh, all of Newport; a brother, Walter Crank of Breathitt County; sisters, Zada Mae McQueen of Berea and Vesta Neace of Breathitt County; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice. Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.
Jeffrey Keith Norris, 39, of Union, died at 12:30 a.m. Monday at his home.
Survivors include daughters, Amber Marie Norris and Amanda Mae Norris, both of Petersburg; a son, Dustin Oaks of Florence; his mother, Shirley Hedges Norris of Union; sisters, Elisa Mackenzie and Sherilyn Sterling; and a brother, Monte Norris.
Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Bracken Memorial Cemetery, Brooksville. Memorials are suggested to Jeffrey Norris Memorial Fund, in care of any Fifth Third Bank. Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville, is handling arrangements.
Michael Francis Rowland, 41, of Streetsboro, Ohio, died Monday at University Hospital, Cincinnati, of injuries suffered Thursday at Turfway Park. He was a horse jockey.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Rowland; daughters, Randi Rowland of Winnipeg, Canada, Farren Rowland and Sara Rowland, both of Streetsboro; his mother, Cindy Briscoe of Dallas; and sisters, Terry Comstock of Mesquite, Texas, and Tracy Samuelson of Beaumont, Texas.
Services were this morning at Turfway Park, Florence. Memorials are suggested to Michael Rowland Family Fund, Kentucky HBPA, 422 Haywood Ave., Louisville, Ky. 40208. Stith Funeral Home, Florence, is handling arrangements.
Warren Joseph Staab, 83, of Lake Forest, Ill., formerly of Newport, died at 3:10 a.m. Monday at Lake Forest Hospital. He was a retired vice president of sales with Federal Bryant Machine Tool Co., Chicago, and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Eva "Fannie" Staab; a stepdaughter, Marie Goldberg of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; stepsons, Ronald Robb of Illinois and Michael Small of Buffalo Grove; five step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild.
