D. Sid Williams, family man
D. Sid Williams of Florence was a family man.
"He just loved his family, " said Dora Williams, who was married
to Mr. Williams for nearly 55 years. "He loved his children and his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren."
Mr. Williams died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.
He was 74.
Born in Detroit, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1948 to 1957. He was stationed mostly at Camp Lejeune, N.C., where he taught other Marines about communication operations.
He worked 31 years as a lift truck operator at the Kroger Co. warehouse in Woodlawn, Ohio, retiring in 1990.
"He never met a stranger, and he was fair and honest and good to everybody, " Mrs. Williams said.
Mr. Williams was a member of the Erlanger First Church of the Nazarene.
Besides his wife, survivors include his sons, Jim Williams and Mark Williams, both of Erlanger; daughters, Andrea Randell of Cincinnati, Margie Park of Independence and Monica Enoch of Alexandria; brothers, Louis Williams of Morning View and Eddy Williams of Jacksonville, N.C.; a sister, Mina Neff of Interlachen, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Florence Community Church of the Nazarene. Cremation will be at Northern Kentucky Crematory.
Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger, is handling arrangements.
Clyde Hamilton Jr., 77, of Falmouth, died Wednesday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana. He was a retired employee of the Kentucky Highway Department, a member of Hardin-Browning American Legion Post. No. 109 in Falmouth and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Rodney Hamilton of Florence; brothers, George Hamilton of Falmouth and Frank Hamilton of Florence; sisters, Jean DeBruler of Cynthiana and Priscilla Owens of Falmouth; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Timothy L. Hicks, 32, of Carrollton, died Tuesday at his home.
He was a construction worker with Evans Construction Co. and a member of Family Worship Center, Carrollton.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Sue Berry of Carrollton; his father and stepmother, Roy Lee and Vonda McGuire Hicks of Carrollton; a sister, Kimberly King of Hopkinsville; half-sisters, Patty Stivender of Lexington and Angie Lamkin of Buford, Ga.; and half-brothers, Jeff Colvert of Middlesboro and Tony Colvert of Carrollton.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Family Worship Center. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Tommy G. Holland Sr., 58, of Finneytown, Ohio, died Wednesday at his home.
He was a machinist.
Survivors include sons, Sam Pantano of Edgewood and Carlo Pantano of Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa.; daughters, Jayne Pantano of Edgewood and Linda Porzio of Palmyra, Va.; and five grandchildren.
No services are planned. Burial will be in Patterson, N.J.

Nydia June Daugherty Smith, 73, of Paducah, died Tuesday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
She was a homemaker and a member of Southland Baptist Temple, Paducah.
Survivors include daughters, Beverly Carol Bedel and Jacqueline Lee Kingsley, both of Benton, and Judith Lynn McDaniel of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; sisters, Patricia Ann Pate of Covington and Marie Morrison of Erlanger; a brother, John Daugherty of Fort Mitchell; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger.

Virginia Stutler, 83, of Fort Wright, died Thursday at St. Charles Care Center, Covington.

Thomas E. Tillery, 73, of Southgate, died Feb. 5 at Veterans Administration Hospital, Cincinnati.
He was a retired salesman with Lincoln Mercury in Covington, a past commander of American Legion Post No. 69 and an Army veteran.
Survivors include sons, Tom Tillery and Fred Tillery, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., David Tillery of Tampa, Fla., and Donald Tillery of Milford, Ohio; daughters, Barbara Tillery of St. Petersburg, Fla., Tiffany, Savannah and Madison; sisters, Patricia Gripshover and Marilyn Gillespie, both of Covington, and Lois Hardin of Erlanger; a brother, Carl Tillery of Taylor Mill; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the Office, Southgate.

William Earl Wiles, 56, of Latonia, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a painter with TKF Conveyors Inc., Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Sue Wiles.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.

Mary Alice Willett, 86, of Dover, died at 1:40 a.m. Thursday at Maysville Nursing Home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Germantown United Methodist Church and Fernleaf Garden Club Homemakers. Her husband, Raymond Willett, died in 1984.
Survivors include sons, Jerry Willett of Dover, Bob Willett of Loganville, Ga., and Dick Willett of Pikeville, Tenn.; a brother, Clarence Gifford; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Germantown United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Germantown.
