Hazel Trimble, 83
Hazel N. Vanbibber Trimble, 83, of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born July 25, 1920, in New Boston, Ohio, a daughter of the late Morton A. VanBibber and Avis English VanBibber. She was a homemaker, a former employee of the former Williams Manufacturing, Selby Shoe Company, Montgomery Wards and Mack’s Men Clothing, a member of the South Portsmouth, Kentucky United Methodist Church, where she was the church pianist. She also was a member of the South Portsmouth Homemakers Club.
Preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Roberson; four brothers, Earl, Dale, Claude and Paul VanBibber; and one sister, Ruth VanBibber.
Surviving is her husband, James Neville Trimble whom she married
Oct. 21, 1938; two sons and their wifes, Neville Leon (Suzanne) Trimble of Waverly, Ohio, Lowell (Wanda) Trimble of Fort Washington, Ohio; two daughters and their husbands, Mona (Dan) Roberson of Minford, Ohio, and Alice (Dennis) Wick of Bellbrook, Ohio; three brothers, Morton VanBibber of Dayton, Ohio, Ray VanBibber of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, and Harold VanBibber of St. Cloud, Florida; and one sister, Avis Tollier of Holly Michigan; 10 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky, with the Rev. Lynn Beach officiating. Burial will be in Collier Memorial Gardens, South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday.

Chloe M. Wolfe Tucker
Chloe M. Wolfe Tucker, 80, of South Portsmouth, Ky., died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born Jan. 1, 1924, in New Boston, Ohio, a daughter of the late Mickle Wolfe and Jennie Crawford Wolfe.
She was a former resident of Fullerton, Ky., retired from the former Williams Manufacturing of Portsmouth and New Boston Kmart and also was a homemaker. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Wolfe and Bert Wolfe; and a son-in-law, Dale Van Bibber.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Roy F. Tucker, whom she married
June 17, 1943, in Maysville, Ky.; two sons and their wives, Michael and Bev Tucker and Kevin and Tammy Tucker, all of South Portsmouth, Ky.; three daughters and their husbands, Pamela K. and Jim Shaw of South Shore, Ky., Sharon and Harold VanBibber of St. Cloud, Fla., and Janie VanBibber of South Portsmouth, Ky.; 11 grandchildren, Kim (Rick) Hampton, Lynn (John) Ryan, Michelle (Tony) Conley, Chris (Stacey) Van Bibber, Jeff (Tami) VanBibber, Shane Tucker, J.D. Shaw, Sarah Shaw, Nichole (Dale) Herdman, Julie (Darrin) Adkins and Randy Tucker., 12 great-grandchildren and two special friends, Peggy Williams and Gail Morman.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., with the Rev. Rodney Evans officiating, Burial will be in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, Ky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday.

Helen Rose Smith Tucker
Helen Rose Smith Tucker of Toledo, formerly of West Russell, died Thursday, May 16, in St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo following an extended illness.
Mrs. Tucker was born in Greenup County, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Sarah Artis Smith.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth W. Boggs of Jacksonville, N.C., and Charles O. Boggs of South Bend, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Evans Funeral Home in Raceland by the Rev. George Steele. Burial was in Rude Cemetery. Additional survivors include a son, Charles D. Boggs of South Bend, Ind.; three brothers, Paul Smith or Raceland, Elmer Smith of Ironton and Arthur Smith of Brooksville, Fla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Crum of Wurtland and Mrs. Pauline Warner of Columbus.

RACELAND - James William Tune, 67, Pond Run Road, Raceland
Died at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Huntington hospital following an illness of one week. Mr. Tune was born Sept.12, 1902 in Greenup County, a son of the late James M. and Annie Hill Tune.
A former employee of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Co., He retired 30 months ago. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen of America and Woodmen's Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Birdie Mae Smith Tune; a daughter Mrs. Shirley Little of Raceland; three sisters, Mrs. Olive T. Doniphan and Mrs. Dave Hensley, both of Flatwoods, and Mrs. Chris England of Russell; two grandchildren, Susan R. Little and William T. Little of Raceland.
Funeral services will be conucted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the residence by the Rev. Lonzie W. Wright, Burial will be in the Palmer Cemetery.
[Fernando Felty]
Nando Felty born March 9, 1869 in Vanceburg, Lewis, Kentucky. Buried August 18, 1949, Rose Hill Burial Park (section D, Lots 219 and 220), Ashland, Boyd, Kentucky.
Age 80 years, 5 months, 6 days. Children listed as Fred Felty, John William Felty Harriet L. Felty Taff, Elizabeth A Felty Hughes. One son deceased 1934 (Frank Felty) and one infant son deceased Simon Peter Felty.
Services by Rev. Joseph S. Faulconer, minister of the First Christian Church on WInchester Avenue at 20th Street in Ashland; Rev. H. B. Smith who spoke of when Nando and Sarah went into the Christian Church at Greenup during Rev. Smith's ministry there; and Rev. Homer E. Felty, son of Nephew Charles and minister at Presbyterian Church in Ironton, Ohio, gave prayer at grave following Elk's ceremonial.

Jasper D. Felty
Jasper D. Felty, 99, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at the Golden Years Convalescent Center.
Born November 24, 1902, in Greenup Co., Ky., to the late Jeff and Matilda Lowder Felty, he was a fromer grocery store owner/operator and an 80-year member of Central Church of Christ, where he as a deacon and elder emeritus.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rheude Litteral Felty; five brothers, Henry, Frank, Earl Sr., Albert and Charles Felty; and two sisters, Gracie and Pearl. Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m Saturday at the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Dennis Dawes, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. friday at the funeral home.

Dustin Ferrell
Dustin S. Ferrell, 23, of Portsmouth, died Thursday November, 20, 2003 at his residence. He was born December 16, 1979 in Cincinnati. He was the son of Gary and Melissa Ridener Ferrell of Ironton and a finaler at Vinyl Kraft in New Boston.
He is also survived by his wife, Lisa Jones Ferrell; one brother, Jesse Ferrell of Ironton; one sister, April Ferrell of Ironton; a grandmother Thelma Ferrell of South Webster; three nephews; one niece and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Keith and Debbie Jones of Portsmouth.
A graveside service was held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, November, 24, 2003 at Vernon cemetery with Winifred Fugitt officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville. The family’s favorite charity is Hospice of Southern Ohio.

Mrs. Goldie Fisher
Garrison – Funeral Services for Mrs. Goldie Fisher, 81, of Route 1, Garrison who died Monday, Dec. 3 were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore by elder Ernest Burton. Burial was in Parson cemetery at Garrison.
Mrs. Fisher was born July 23, 1903, in Greenup County, a daughter of the late Ellis and Anna Lowder Hamm. Her husband, Edward Fisher, died in 1979.
She was a member of Brushart Christian Church.
Surviving are three sons, Eddie Fisher of Columbus, Ohio, and Ernest Fisher and Melvin Fisher both of Garrison; five daughters, Mrs. Minnie Griggs of Washington, Ore., Mrs. Olive Evans of Columbus, Mrs. Madeline White of Winchester, Mrs. Marina Yazell of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Mrs. Opal Penant of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Adkins of Greenup and Mrs. Gladys Duewell of Garrison; 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Isaac L. Fisher
Funeral services are to be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday for Isaac L. Fisher, 68, of 2101 Sixth St., who died at 12 p.m. Monday at Athens State Hospital following an extended illness. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Born Feb. 1, 1897, in Greenup County, Ky., he was a son of Wallace and Margaret Fisher.
Surviving are his wife, Rose; two daughters, Pauline and Donna Sue, both at home, and three brothers, John of Minford Rt. 1, Edward of Brushart, Ky., and Delbert of Portsmouth.
Mr. Fisher was a member of Church of God in New Boston and had been employed by Norfolk & Western Railway the last 30 years.
Funeral services are to be conducted at Church of God in New Boston with Rev. Dale Lehman officiating. Burial will be made at Quincy, Ky., under the direction of Mart Glynn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home after 6 tonight.

SOUTH SHORE, Ky. – Mrs. Rosa VanBibber Fisher, 65, of South Shore Rt. 1, died Friday at Elmwood Village Convalescent center in Portsmouth, Ohio, after an extended illness.
She was a Greenup County native, a retired employe of Southern Hills Hospital in Portsmouth and a member of Portsmouth’s Sixth Street Pentoscostal (sic.) Church of Christ. Her husband Isaac Fisher died in 1958.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donna Stevenson of South Shore and Mrs. Pauline Arthur of Granite St., Wheelersburg, Ohio; two brothers, Tim VanBibber of Quincy and Carl VanBibber of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Bloomfield of Garrison and four grandchildren.
Rev. Norman Davis is to conduct services at 1 p.m. Monday at Robertson Funeral Home here with burial in Methodist cemetery at Quincy.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. today, from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and until the funeral hour Monday.

Thelma Fisher, 75
Thelma Jean Fisher, 75, of Lucasville, died Saturday, September 22, 2001, 11:48 at her residence.
She was born September, 20, 1926, in Greenup County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Charles and Martha (VanBibber) Hamilton. She was a beautician, owned and operated Fisher’s Beauty Shop, member of Calvary Baptist Church in Piketon, and saw a member of Scioto Valley Grange.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Jeff Baughman of Lucasville; five grandchildren, Kelly Boger, Kristen Crowell, Heather Boger, Sarah Baughman and Alan Baughman; two great-grandchildren, Nikki and Stephanie Crowell; four sisters, Mary Chevalley of Arlington, Virginia, June Walker of Leesburg, Florida, Kay Adair of Leesburg, Florida, and Carol Eichenlaub of Lucasville; and four brothers, Harold Hamilton of Jacksonville, Florida, Herschel Hamilton of West Portsmouth, David "Ernie" Hamilton of West Portsmouth, and Don Hamilton of West Portsmouth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Fisher, on December 26, 2000; a daughter, Sharyn Boger; and one sister, Ruth Hall.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2001, at Calvary Baptist Church in Piketon, with Pastor Jeff Calloway and Pastor Tim Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and at the church one hour prior to the service Wednesday.

Mrs. George E. Fluke
Mrs. Helena Logan Fluke, 30, of 20 West Second av., Columbus died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Kitchen 3166 Walnut st. here. She had been ill more than a year.
Mrs. Fluke is survived by her husband, George E. Fluke of Columbus, a daughter, Barbara Lea, her mother Mrs. Inez Soller of Columbus and her father, Marion Logan of Portsmouth.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Emrick funeral home and burial will follow in Memorial Park cemetery. Rev. Hollie Conley will officiate. The body may be viewed at the Kitchen residence until noon Friday where it will be moved to the funeral home.
