Arnold Turner, 68, plant superintendent
Arnold Turner's wife, Diana, will always remember her husband's big, beaming smile.
Mr. Turner, of Fort Thomas, died Monday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. He was 68.
"Arnold was very laid back and was a very fair person, " his wife said. "That's why he made such a good boss."
He was a plant superintendent with Reliable Castings, Cincinnati, where he worked for 36 years.
Mr. Arnold was master of Robert Burns Lodge No. 163 F&AM;, Newport, until December. He was also a member of Scottish Rite Valley of Covington, Syrian Shrine of Cincinnati and Eastern Star Dora Chapter No. 19, Newport
Diana Turner said her husband and his three brothers went through the Masonic initiation process at the same time. That helped to draw them closer together, she said.
Mr. Turner was an Army veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Arnold Dale Turner of Moores Hill, Ind., Henry Edward Turner of Dayton and James Schnitzler of Bellevue; daughters, Karen Case of Aurora, Ind., Pauline Sherrow of Cincinnati and Shannon Schnitzler of Highland Heights; brothers, Willis Turner of Booneville, Russell Turner of Ryland and Ronald Turner of Newport; a sister, Pauline Turner of Walled Lake, Mich.; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at noon Thursday at New Macedonia Old Regular Baptist Church, Newport. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at the church, with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick, is handling arrangements.
James Edward Clifton, 81, of Silver Grove, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a bus driver with Queen City Metro and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Lena "Belle" Clifton; daughters, Sandy Turner and Debbie Hall, both of Falmouth, and Kim Herald of Silver Grove; a son, Ted Clifton of Silver Grove; sisters, Louise Madrosky of Las Vegas, Marcella Wainscott of Independence and Alma Hart of Cincinnati; a brother, Marvin Clifton of Covington; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
Gerald William Coldiron, 68, of Hebron, died Sunday at Villaspring Care Center, Erlanger.
He was an owner of the Finish Line, Elsmere, and a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Coldiron; sons, Jerry Coldiron of and James Snelling, both of Florence, David Coldiron of Burlington, Robert Snelling of Ludlow, Greg Snelling of Bardstown and Daniel Snelling of Park Hills; daughters, Denise Volz of Germany, Carole Frilling of Walton, Rebecca Upton of Jellico, Tenn., and Gina Coldiron and Susan Coldiron, both of Kentucky; a brother, Ronald Coldiron of Park Hills; sisters, Pam Curtis of Latonia, Bev Coldiron of Covington, Karen Murphy of Park Hills and Sandy Schaffer of Kentucky; 17 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Elinor Deye, 84, of Lakeside Park, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
She was a supervisor with AT&T;, a member of AT&T; Pioneers and St. Pius X Church, Edgewood.
Survivors include sisters, Gertrude Flannagan of Lakeside Park, Mary Mahlmann of Brookline, Mass., and Elizabeth Deye of Pittsburgh.

Annzetta V. Gunn, 89, of Erlanger, died Monday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Henry Church, Elsmere. Her husband, Lawrence A. Gunn, died in 1998.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence A. Gunn of Erlanger; and a grandson.

Bessie Long, 73, of Ludlow, died Monday at her home.
Arrangements are pending at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow.
Hilda Ann Koshover NeCamp, 94, of Latonia, died at 10:50 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
She was owner of Hildan Letter and Printing Service, Cincinnati, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Latonia. She also operated Martha and Mary Thrift Shop, Latonia. Her husband, Earl George NeCamp, died in 1993.
Survivors include a son, David B. NeCamp of Rabbit Hash; daughters, Carol L. Rice of Lakeside Park and Doris R. Fields of Edgewood; a brother, Louis Koshover of Cincinnati; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to RBC Ministries, P.O. Box 2222, Grand Rapids, Mich. 49501.
Garnett Faye Allender Townsend, 52, of Duluth, Minn., formerly of Northern Kentucky, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital in Duluth. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Lang Townsend Jr. of California; daughters, Donna Faye Hargis of Cadiz and Rebecca Lynn Zuckswerdt Henry of Tennessee; brothers, Jerry Wayne Allender of Foster, John William "Bill" Allender of Camp Springs, Kenneth Dale Allender of Demossville, James Allen Allender of Alexandria and David Kent Allender of Independence; sisters, Peggy Ann Pulliam of Cynthiana, Rita Darlene Merritt of Georgia, Mary Sue Allender of Melbourne and Marian Kathleen Brock of Berry; and seven grandchildren.

Christian Andrew Tudor, son of Shawn Curtis and Peggy Ann Hensley Tudor, was stillborn Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
Other survivors include brothers, Corey Joseph Tudor and Colten Allen Tudor, both at home; grandparents, Pat and Jr. Hensley of Corinth, and Barb and Robert Allen Larry of Florence; and great-grandparents, Minnie Ruth Perkins of Falmouth and Posey Houston of Covington.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will begin there at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery.
Katherine Jean White, 74, of Florence, died Sunday at her home. She was a teller with Community Bank in Erlanger and a former employee of Square D Co., and a member of Florence Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert S. White; daughters, Deborah Landers of Florence, Donna Christy of Erlanger and Rev. Linda Middelberg of Dayton, Ohio; her father, Aaron Newcomb of Heber Springs, Ark.; a brother, Eugene Newcomb of Sitka, Alaska; and two grandchildren.

James E. Williams, 76, of Covington, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired truck driver with the Kenton County Road Department and a member of Golden Rule Lodge No. 345 F&AM.;
Survivors include his wife, Judith Williams; a son, James Williams of Gray, Tenn.; and a grandson.
