William Knoebber loved time spent with family
William T. Knoebber Jr.'s family and friends remember him as a man who liked to have a good time and who cared deeply for his loved ones.
Daughter Sue Hust said her father enjoyed life, especially playing games with his family. He played Triple Yahtzee with his wife, and he liked to play bridge, golf and euchre.
"He liked to joke around with everybody and have fun, " she said. "He really enjoyed when the grandkids came over. When they were small, he enjoyed playing with them."
Mr. Knoebber, 92, of Kenton Vale, died Monday at his home. He was a retired self-employed realtor with W.T. Knoebber Realty in Covington, was a past president of the Kenton-Boone Board of Realtors and a former member of the Kentucky Real Estate Commission. He was a member of Holy Cross Church in Latonia, where he was an usher and was active with the church festival.
Hust remembers taking her father to a friend's funeral recently, and that he insisted on going although he had a difficult time walking.
Ted Knoebber said his father was a very social man who enjoyed his honorary position on the Kenton-Boone Board of Realtors because it combined business with friendships.
"He cared about his friends and took care of them, " Hust said. "He wanted to help people."
Rev. Thomas C. Barnes, pastor of Latonia's Holy Cross Church, said Mr. Knoebber liked to walk and attend Mass. Knoebber said his father was a member of the parish for more than 60 years.
"He was very faithful coming to church, every Sunday and sometimes during the week, " Rev. Barnes said.
Other survivors include his wife, Nina Remley Knoebber; a daughter, Joyce Knoebber of Latonia; a sister, Marcella Wetzel of Fort Mitchell; and five grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Church. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.

James C. Ackman, 60, of Williams-town, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County, Williamstown.
He was a press operator with Nutone, Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Napier Ackman; a son, Mike Ackman of Williamstown; and a daughter, Joy Lavonne Ackman of Williamstown.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery.
Cleo Faye Webster Beach, 78, of Glencoe, died Monday at Grant Manor Health Care Center, Williamstown.
She was a homemaker and a member of Walton Church of God. Her husband, Clyde L. Beach, died in 1998.
Survivors include sons, Broadus L. Beach of Irvine, James Marshall Beach of Holbrook, Jay Wilson Beach and Clyde Jeffrey Beach, both of Somerset, Ray Clifton Beach of Falmouth and David Wayne Beach of Butler; daughters, Wanda Faye Jones of Glencoe, Diana Sue Honshell of Walton, Joyce Marie Patton of Winter Park, Fla., Joe Ella Collins of Williamstown, Loretta Lynn McCracken and Elizabeth Kay Ashcraft, both of Dry Ridge; sisters, Evelyn Lewis of Florida and Bonnie McCubbin of Perry Park; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Grant County.

James B. Bond, 77, of Florence, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.
He was a retired driver from C.C.C. Trucking Co., Cincinnati. He was a member of Erlanger Christian Church, Good Faith Lodge F&AM;, Scottish Rite-Valley of Covington, Ashland Shrine, and Teamsters Union No. 100.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Culbertson Bond; a daughter, Deborah Bond Doth of Cincinnati; a brother, Robert Bond of Union; a sister, Juanita Andress of Edgewood; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.

Ida Robertson Couch, 79, of Carrollton, died Monday in Bedford.
She was a retired housekeeper with General Butler State Resort Park, Carrollton, and attended Whites Run Baptist Church, Carrollton.
Her husband, Estill Couch, died in 1982. Sons Danny Crouch and Dennis Couch died in 1977 and 1993, respectively.
Survivors include sons, Tommy Couch and Mike Couch, both of Carrollton; daughters, Ruby Day of Madison, Ind., Bonnie Hardin and Donna Mershall, both of Bedford; brothers, Preston Robertson and Millard Robertson, both of Booneville; a sister, Josephine Daniel of Richmond; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton.
Curt Wayne Graley Jr., 37, of Mays-ville, died Monday at University Hospital, Cincinnati, of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
He was an engineering specialist with Clopay Corp., Augusta.
Survivors include a daughter, Devin Nicole Graley of Maysville; his father of stepmother, Curtis Wayne and Shari Graley of Dunnellon, Fla.; his mother, Doris Pauley Graley of Nitro, W.Va.; and brother, Brad Graley of Columbus, Ohio.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church, Maysville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Garden of Memories, Maysville.

Deborah Faye Linne, 49, of Cincin-nati, formerly of Covington, died Friday at Hospice of Cincinnati.
She was a cook with Wilson Elementary School and a member of Clough Pike Baptist Church, Cincinnati.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Linne; a daughter, Sharon Linne of Cincinnati; a son, Aaron Linne of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Patricia Foreman of Erlanger, Donna Kannady of Florence and Pamela Rondeau of Rutland, Vt.; and a brother, Jesse Williams Jr. of Frankfort.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
Lois B. Maxey, 75, of Cincinnati, died Tuesday at Mercy Franciscan Hospice Unit, Western Hills campus, Cincinnati.
She was a former clinical social worker with Comprehensive Care Centers of Northern Kentucky.
Survivors include her husband, Victor L. Maxey Sr.; sons, Tom Maxey, Victor Maxey Jr., and David Maxey; sisters, Violette Patee and Maxine Kimmel; a brother, Lavon Brunson; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Western Hills Church of Christ, Cincinnati. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Dalbert, Woodruff and Isenogle Funeral Home, Cincinnati.
Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Cincinnati.

Robert "Marty" Rott, 82, of St. James City, Fla., formerly of Florence, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Hope Hospice House, Cape Coral, Fla.
He was a retired mechanic with Coors Dairy Co., Cincinnati, and the former owner of Rott's Garage in Covington.
He was a member of St. Paul Church, Florence, and the Milk and Dairy Employees Union Local No. 98, Cincinnati, and an Army veteran of World War II.
His wife, Mazella H. Wager Rott, died in 1985.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Josette Leffler of Williamstown; a sister, Virginia Kennedy of St. James City, Fla.; three grandchildren and a great-grandchildren.
