Bobby G. Mason, 71, was director of TANK operations
Bobby G. Mason loved to be around people. For all his life, it was all he knew.
Mr. Mason was one of 19 children. He died Saturday night at his home. He was 71.
Mr. Mason worked for 48 years as the director of operations for the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky.
He also served as a member of the Cincinnati Transit Historical Association as as an executive board member on the Amalgamated Transit Union No. 628.
But more than his job at TANK, he loved being with his large family.
"With the grandkids, he always used to get down and wrestle with them, " said his daughter, Gail Hurst of Bronston, Ky. "He just loved life and people."
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Murphy Mason; a son, Karl B. Mason of Latonia; daughters, Hurst, Deloris A. Mullins of Somerset, Sarah Lynn Mason of Covington and Tina Waterman-Rothfuss of Latonia; brothers, Frank Mason, David Mason, Paul Mason and George Mason Jr., all of Orlando, Ky., Jimmy Mason of Chipley, Fla., and Ronnie Mason of Berea; sisters, Dorothy Rader, Karen Morgan and Maryann Vanzant, all of Orlando; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brush Creek Holiness Church in Orlando, Ky. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia. Burial will be in Briarfield cemetery in Orlando.
Dorothy F. Bay, 66, of Erlanger, died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a housekeeping employee of the hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Bay; sons Raymond Bay Jr. of Petersburg, Jeffrey Bay of Covington and Johnny Bay of Flowermound, Texas; daughters Kathy Ballmer of Mount Zion and Rebecca Verst of Alexandria; brothers Walter King of Hamilton, Ohio, and Herbert King of Brooksville; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Elsmere. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Johnsville Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, 6612 Dixie Highway, Suite 2A, Florence, Ky. 41042.
Helen R. Evans, 68, of Florence, died Saturday at Florence Park Care Center. She was a cashier with Bigg's grocery stores. Her husband, Cecil Ray Evans, died in 2001.
Survivors include brothers Earl Dirkes of Foster, George Dirkes of Covington and Henry Dirkes of Burlington; and a sister, Mary Margaret Metzger of Alexandria.
Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Tuesday at St. Paul Church, Florence. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright. Wanda Lee Fredrick, 64, of Florence, died Saturday at her home. She was a cafeteria worker with A.M. Yealey Elementary School in Florence and a member of First Church of Christ, Burlington. A son, Jeffrey Wayne Fredrick, died in 1990.
Survivors include her husband, Zola J. Fredrick; a daughter, Tina Matteoli of Independence; sons Jay Fredrick of Florence and Larry Fredrick of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a sister, Edna Daniels of Manteo, N.C.; a half-sister, Jeannie Lomma of Clarksburg; W.Va., seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Mildred "Mickey" Zechella Garrison, 79, of Fort Thomas, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Therese Church in Southgate. She was also a member of the church's 55 Club. Her husband, William C. Garrison, died in 1998.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Garrison Wagner of Newport; sons Gary Garrison of Richwood, Ron Garrison of Batavia, Ohio, and Jim Garrison of Fort Thomas; sisters Rosella Kathman of Crestview Hills and Clara Zechella of Newport; brothers Jim Zechella of Alexandria and Lou Zechella of Lexington; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Howard Prentice Gouge, 89, of Corinth, formerly of Burlington, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.

Lillian Mae Sacca Hubbard, 82, of Union, died Friday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Big Bone Baptist Church, Union. Her husband, W.O. "Coonie" Hubbard, died in 2000. A daughter, Pennie Sue Hubbard, died in 1952.
Survivors include daughters, Mary Jean Noble of Union and Judy Hurst of Somerset; a son, Bobby J. Hubbard of Union; a sister, Irene Hurlburt of Tampa, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Perry "Sammy" Hutchinson, 67, of Warsaw, died Friday at Gallatin County Health Care Center, Warsaw. He was a laborer and a member of Warsaw Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Marcia Hutchinson of Warsaw.

Archie Earl Lawson, 78, of Falmouth, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a farmer and steelworker with Keegler Co., Cincinnati. A daughter, Helen Lawson Riley, died in 2003. Infant sons, Wayne Lawson and John Lawson, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Thornberry Lawson; sons, Larry Lawson and Ronnie Lawson, both of Pendleton County; daughters, Arlene Fodor and Sylbina Traylor, both of Pendleton County; sisters, Anna Mae Gunsayle, Margaret Straub and Geneva Shoemaker, all of Pendleton County; a brother, Carl Lawson of Pendleton County; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Malcolm Warner Marsh, 72, of Florence, died Sunday at Villaspring Care Center, Erlanger. He was an engineer with AT&T.; His wife, Eileen Hazel Albers Marsh, preceded him in death.

Gabrielle Faust Marshall, 38, of Alexandria, died Thursday at the Arbors, Milford, Ohio. She was an X-ray technician with Mercy Anderson Hospital, Cincinnati.

Milford Hayden Neal, 81, of Demossville, died Saturday at his home. He was a farmer, a retired employee of Kahn's Meats in Cincinnati and a former president of Mount Moriah Cemetery. He was a member of Grassy Creek Christian Church. A son, Donald Ray Neal, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Neal; a son, Roger Neal of Demossville; daughters, Debbie Shoemaker and Karen Neal, both of Demossville; a sister, Edna Smith of Menifee County; and three grandchildren.
