James Timberlake, 3-sport Conner star
James Michael Timberlake was a three-sport star at Conner High School whose energy and sense of humor endeared him to his friends and family.
Mr. Timberlake, 35, died Saturday at his Cold Springs home of natural causes. He was a demand planner for Procter & Gamble.
"Michael was the clown among his friends, " said his mother, Bonnie Nutley of Florence. "He always gave us a good laugh."
Mr. Timberlake wrestled and played football and basketball at Conner. After he graduated in 1987, he attended Morehead State University for a year and walked on to the football team there. He also attended Cincinnati State.
Mr. Timberlake was a fitness buff and enjoyed working out at several gyms in the area. He was also a collector of sports memorabilia and liked to collect items from local athletes and teams.
"He had some health problems in the last few years but he always maintained his high energy level and sense of humor, " his mother said.
Other survivors include his father and stepmother, James and Sandy Timberlake of Mason, Ohio; his stepfather, Don Nutley of Florence; a brother, Jonathon Timberlake of Mason, Ohio; a sister, Ginger Timberlake of Florence; and maternal grandmother, Betty Laurin of Fort Thomas.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Wanda Davenport Bevis, 65, of Walton, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a homemaker and a member of Erlanger Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Irvin Bevis, Jr.; a son, Timothy Bevis of Cincinnati; daughters, Deborah Nolan of Union and Lori Bevis of Walton; brothers, Tony Davenport and Edward Miller, both of Cincinnati; sisters, Wilma Goff of Cleveland, Ohio, Juanita Hopkins of Corbin, and Jeanette Grubb of Barbourville; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Markland Funeral Home, Rising Sun, Ind. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rising Sun New Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Fairview Baptist Church, 333 Warner St., Cincinnati, Ohio 45219.
Christopher Todd Burkett, 38, of Hillsboro, Ohio, formerly of Covington, died Friday at Cabell-Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va. He was disabled.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, William T. and Rhonda Burkett of Senatobia, Miss.; his mother, Judith Gill Burgess of Hillsboro, Ohio; a brother, William T. Burkett, II, of Hillsboro, Ohio; stepbrothers, Ray Allen Burgess of Covington, Dennis Lee Treadway of Hillsboro, Ohio, Ronald Richard Keys, Jr., of Dupo, Ill., and Donald Jason Burkett of Strayhorn, Miss.; and a stepsister, Bobbie Jean Burkett of Fort Worth, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan-Gill Family Cemetery, Corinth. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth.
Ella Rebecca Clifton, 92, of Hebron, died Sunday at Village Care Center, Erlanger. She was a homemaker and owner of Clifton Rest Home. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church, Hebron Baptist Church Senior Citizens, and Hebron Community Senior Citizens. Her husband, Guilford Ewell Clifton, Sr., and a son, Bobby Gene Clifton, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Guilford E. Clifton, Jr., and Carl Ray Clifton, both of Hebron; a daughter, Jane Melton of Hebron; a brother, James McPherson of Ludlow; a sister, Mable Edmonson of Irvine; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Michael Joseph Giordano, 84, of Erlanger, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospital South, Edgewood. He was a retired maintenance worker and an Army veteran. His wife, Ruth Giordano, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Michael T. Giordano of Erlanger; a daughter, Sherry Pitts for Fort Mitchell; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Paul T. Harris, 90, of Independence, died Sunday at St. Charles Care Center, Covington. He was a retired investigator from CSX Transportation and a member of Latonia Baptist Church, F&AM; Lodge No. 143, Madisonville, the Deaf Society, and the Indra Consistory Scottish Rite, Covington. His wife, Kathryn "Kate" Harris, and a son, Kirby Harris, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Stephen H. Harris of Latonia; a sister, Mabel Harned of New Albany, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. CST Wednesday at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Madisonville. No visitation is scheduled. Shawn Christopher Johnson, 31, of Covington, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

Cornelius "Neal" Lee King, 86, of Florence, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired maintenance worker from Highland Cemetery, an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Ludlow Baptist Church.

Mary A. Ruhl Lagedrost, 88, of Fort Thomas, died Sunday at Highlands of Fort Thomas. She was a retired tax examiner from the IRS. Her husband, Walter Lagedrost, preceded her in death.

Cora Rebecca Hayes "Sis" Minor, 100, of Warsaw, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Harlan Minor, preceded her in death.

Tim Arthur Schultz, 49, of California, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Covington. He was an electrician with Newport Steel, a farmer, and an EMT with the Southern Campbell County Fire Department. He was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Church, Alexandria, and the Farm Bureau. His daughter, Ambria Lynn Schultz, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Schultz; sons, Scott Schultz and Andrew Schultz, both of California; his parents, Irvin and Rosemary Schultz of Alexandria; and brothers, Kenneth Schultz and Allan Schultz, both of Alexandria.
