Terry Kilburn, liked to play all sports
When Terry Wayne Kilburn wasn't serving as the catcher for the various softball teams he played on over the years, friends might find him on a camping trip or playing a quick game of football.
"He liked to play any type of sports, " said Mr. Kilburn's mother, Linda Kilburn of Newport.
"That and just being outside is what he enjoyed doing the most."
Mr. Kilburn, 41, of Newport, died early Wednesday morning at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas.
After graduating from high school, Mr. Kilburn served in the Army National Guard.
He also worked in the factory at the Willow Green Co.
Mr. Kilburn liked to remain active. He played on his high school's football team and, in recent years, was an avid softball player and joined several leagues.
People who met Mr. Kilburn usually remembered his friendly and outgoing personality, his mother said.
"He never knew a stranger, " Mrs. Kilburn said. "Everybody liked him, and he helped anybody who needed it."
Besides his mother, Mr. Kilburn is survived by his son, Terry Wayne Kilburn Jr. of Newport; three brothers, Phillip of Latonia, Ky., Steve of Jackson, Ky., and Patrick of Summersville, W. Va.; three sisters, Betty Sebastian and Sharon Stewart, both of Newport, and Karen Martin of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 835 York St., Newport.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Kilburn family cemetery in Falmouth.
Beulah S. Cox, 99, of Latonia, died Friday at Village Care Center, Erlanger.
Arrangements are pending at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia.
Robert "Jake" Jacobs, 74, of Latonia Lakes, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington.
He was a retired master electrician with Equitable Bag Co. in Covington and Interlake Steel in Newport, and a member of Iron Horsemen Club, Covington.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
His wife, Betty Lou Goldizen Jacobs; and a son, Joseph Jacobs; and a daughter, Sandra Brown, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Jacobs of Latonia Lakes; daughters, Peggy Geltig of Newport and Anna Mains of Ervin; a brother, Frank Jacobs of Independence; a sister, Judy Baldwin of Ryland Heights; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill.
Visitation will begin there at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014.
Earl F. Plunkett, 70, of Rabbit Hash, died Thursday at his residence.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator, a former Army Reservist, and a member of Lebanon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie Miller Ritchie; sons, Larry Ritchie and Jeffery Ritchie, both of Florence, and Wayne Ritchie of Hebron; daughters, Wanda Thompson and Lisa Atkinson, both of Florence, and Julie White of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Sharon Franklin of Ewbank, Alaska; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in East Bend Cemetery, Boone County.

Lorraine D. Rabenold, 70, of Florence, died Dec. 17 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a retired medical technician from Suburban General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was a member of Florence United Methodist Church and New Friends of Northern Kentucky.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Rabenold; sons, Chris Rabenold of Allison Park, Pa., and Gregg Rabenold of Mason, Ohio; a brother, Glen Dunbar of Big Pond, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Florence United Methodist Church.
Memorial visitation will begin there at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Cremation will be at Baxter Cremation Service, Cincinnati.

Robert L. Rebholz, 69, of Cold Spring, died Thursday at his residence.
He was a retired dock worker from Roadway Express, Cincinnati, and an Army veteran.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Alexandria, Teamsters Local, Newport Elks No. 273 P.O.E., and the Senior Golf League at A.J. Jolly Golf Course.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen Rebholz; sons, James Rebholz of Independence, Nick Rebholz of Alexandria, Richard Rebholz of Newport, and Robert Rebholz of Bellevue; a daughter, Maria Lynne Rebholz of Newbern, Va.; stepsons, Gary Roderick of California, Jeff Roderick of Edgewood, and Timothy Roderick of Southgate; a stepdaughter, Terri Combs of Alexandria; a brother, Paul Rebholz of Cincinnati; a sister, Judy Enneking of Cincinnati; and 16 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Alexandria.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Alexandria Funeral Home with Newport Elks service at 7 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.

Alma Kathleen Stout, 86, of Carrollton, died Friday at King's Daughter's Hospital, Madison, Ind.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Her husband, Forest Lee Stout, and a son, Darrell Wayne Stout, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Bobby Stout, Jimmy Stout, and Carl Stout, all of Worthville; daughters, Patricia Martin and Teresia Skirvin, both of Carrollton, and Bonnie Wilhoit of Milton; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton.
Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Monday.
Burial will be in Worthville Cemetery.
Robert Samuel Wilson, Jr., 60, of Cynthiana, died Thursday at his residence.
He was a retired carpenter and a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Wilson; sons, Robert "Hoss" Wilson, Ronald "Fizzle" Wilson, Darren Wilson, and Daniel Wilson, all of Cynthiana; a brother, Leonard Wilson of Paris; sisters, Roberta Cole of Cynthiana, Lillie Hamm of Richmond, Lillian Bradburn and Barbara Manning, both of Tennessee, Gracie Robinson of Carlisle, Pat Lutes of Campton, and Chris Sigley of Paris; three stepbrothers, Joe Powell, Cecil Powell, and Bob Hutchison, all of Paris; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana.
