Mrs. Nanalee Abney, age 78 of Hamilton, OH and formerly of Orlando, died Tuesday, June 10 at the Mercy Hospital in Fairfield, OH. She was born on June 9, 1927. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Sufferage of Hamilton, OH; and a sister, Midge Davidson of Orlando, FL. Also surviving are three grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and one great - great grandchild, Keriston McCollum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Abney.

Mr. Nola Thomas Abner

Mr. Nola Thomas Abner, 81, of Beattyville, KY, formerly of Morganton, NC, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2007. He was born in Primrose, KY on June 22, 1925 to the late John Henry and Doll Drake Abner. He was a US Navy veteran having served during WWII, and a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Morganton, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vergie Powell Abner; two brothers, Kenneth and Ishamel Abner.
He is survived by three step - sons, C. Donald Fox of Charlotte, AR, Derryl G. Fox of Nebo, NC and Arnold E. Fox of Morganton, NC; seventeen step - grandchildren, numerous step - great and great - great grandchildren; one brother, Arthur 'Von' Abner and wife Ann of Beattyville, KY, and two sisters, Ila Rae Barnes of Clermont, FL and Mila Vern Abner of Beattyville, KY.
Other survivors include four nieces, Jeanette Moore and husband, Tyler of Osgood, IN, Carol Roberts of Richmond, VA and Mary Johnson and husband, Rick and, Vonda Gay Williams and husband, Danny, all of Beattyville, KY; four nephews, John Elmer Abner and wife Nancy of Beattyville, with whom Nola resided; Gerald Henry Abner and wife Belva of Lexington, KY; Charles Ray Abner and wife Dorinda of Plymouth, MI, and Arthur Coleman Abner and wife Marcella of Mt. Sterling, KY; an adopted daughter, Linda Anker and husband Jim of Orion, MI; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 14th at Kirksey Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Assembly of God Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home. Out - of - town services were held Thursday evening in Booneville, KY.

Wanda Mae Arthur
Wanda Mae Arthur, age 65, passed away Friday, May 19, 2006, at 1:03 a.m. in Cox Medical Center South. She was born September 30, 1940, the daughter of Perry and Lola Mae (Abney) Sowards. Mrs. Arthur taught elementary school at Logan Rogersville. She was a member of the Ozark Historical Society, as well as the Missouri State Teacher's Association. She was a past member of Planning and Zoning Ozark. Mrs. Arthur had been a Murney Real Estate Agent for 10 years. She loved animals. Survivors include: one son, Hal Hull and wife, Dana, Rogersville, Missouri; two sisters, Shirley Long and husband, Gary, Rogersville, Missouri, and Betty Fitzgerald and husband, Donald, Bruner, Missouri; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. Visitation will take place 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2006, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri. Graveside funeral services will take place 10 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2006, in Hopedale Cemetery, with Larry Tidwell officiating. Memorial donations can be made to the Ozark Humane Society.
Wayland Jamar Abney
Wayland Jamar Abney, 13 Enjoyed skateboarding, basketball, video games MARSTONS MILLS - Wayland Jamar Abney, 13, a resident of Marstons Mills, died on Sunday at his home.
Born in Houston, Texas, he was raised and educated there until moving to the Cape four years ago. Wayland was in the eighth grade at Marstons Mills Middle School where he was involved in track and basketball. He received the school's Humanitarian Award last year.
Wayland enjoyed skateboarding, basketball and video games.
Besides his parents, father, Grady M. Abney, mother Erica R. (Lewis) Abney, and sister Amber Renee Abney, all of Marstons Mills, he is survived by a grandfather, Leon Combs Sr. of Houston; a grandmother, Ruth M. Abney of Moss Point, Miss.; a great - grandfather, Issac Wartell of Houston; a great - grandmother, Bertha Wartell of Houston; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sandwich Friends Meeting House, 6 Quaker Road, East Sandwich.
Burial will follow in Houston.
Visiting hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the John - Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Marstons Mills.
Macie Abney

Macie B. Abney, 86, of Rustic Way in Lexington, died Saturday, April 21, at St. Joseph Hospital.
He was born Oct. 23, 1920, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. He was retired from the Bluegrass Army Depot, where he worked as a clerk.
He is survived by a dear friend, Daisy Fain.
Services were held Tuesday at Maple Grove cemetery with the Rev. Jim Harrison officiating.
Betts & West Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Berry V. Abney
Berry V. Abney, 63, Union Hall, died at the home of his son, John Abney, where he had been ill only a few days. He is survived by his widow, three sons, two daughters, two brothers, and one sister. Funeral services were held at the family graveyard by Rev. Robert Marcum, officiating.

Mrs. Bessie V. Abney, 83, of Watson, who died Wednesday, was a native of Warrior. She had lived most of her life in Watson and was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Bell Crumly Chapel, with burial in Friendship Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Estelle Alford, and a son Paul Abney, both of Watson.

Jimmy Abney on March 18, 1954. She attended Freewill Baptist Church and spent her winters in Leesburg, FL.
Betty worked at State Farm Insurance for 25 years, and loved her shuffleboard and pinochle. Surviving are: husband, Jimmy; daughter, Kaye (Larry) Jankowski; son, David (Kim) Abney; grandchildren, Natasha (Nick) Edgar, Nicholas Howard, Christopher Costanzo, Lanesha Brannon; great - granddaughter, Natalie Renee Edgar; several nieces and nephews; sister - in - law, Joyce Williams; brothers - in - law, Billy (Annielois), Bobby and Danny, all of Mississippi. She was preceded in death by an infant son Paul; and daughter, Robin; sister, Sandy Creg; brother, Allen Cunningham; and brother - in - law, Douglas Abney.

Betty June Tate, 69, of Rossville died Monday, Oct. 3. She was 69. She was a lifelong resident of the Rossville area, was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Daily Democrat, Clinton MO, Jan 28 2002 - Beulah Beryl Abney, the only child of Fred and Mary Adkins, was born November 5, 1908, five miles west of Deepwater. Beulah died on January 9, 2002, at Westwood Nursing Home. She lived her entire life in Henry County, attending the Independence grade school. She rode a horse to Deepwater to attend high school for two years. She was baptized into the Deepwater Brethren Church in 1925. Beulah and Frank Abney were married
December 22, 1926. To this union was born one son, Howard Devere. Beulah and Frank farmed for 30 years, on a farm adjoining the farm where she was born. In 1956 they turned the farming over to their son and moved to Clinton. Beulah was a homemaker her entire live, except for a short time when she worked at the Forrest - Jolly Nursing Home as a cook, after they moved to Clinton. She then spent several years caring for husband, Frank, after he suffered a stroke. She also volunteered later at the Clinton Senior Center. She thoroughly enjoyed her family, her friends and working in her garden and always had seasonal flowers ready to share with her church. She and Frank enjoyed fishing trips to Table Rock Lake with their camper. Beulah was a deaconess in the Brethren Church. She always found something good to say about everything and everybody, never a harsh or unkind word. Beulah is survived by her son, Howard, and wife, Wilma; four grandchildren, Gary W. Abney of Belmont, Michigan, Thomas Keith Abney, Marvin Dale Abney and Susan Carter, all of Clinton; six great - grandchildren and six great - great - grandchildren. One great - granddaughter, Rebecca Joy Abney, preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at the Vansant - Mills Chapel on Saturday, January 12. Burial was in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.
Beulah Francis Abney
BELGRADE - Beulah Francis Abney, Belgrade, died Sept. 1, 2003 at her granddaughter's residence in Ballwin at the age of 88. She was born October 31, 1914 to the late Edward and Laura (Scott) Boulch. United in marriage to Mr. Clarence Abney on April 25, 1933. He preceded her in death in 1984.
