Mrs. Reca Christine Abney
Age 90, of 204 Conway Rd. Berea died Tuesday November 18, 2003 at the Rockcastle Hospital in Mt. Vernon after a long illness. She was born on April 22, 1913 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late Charles and Eva Johnson Baker. She was a retired custodian for Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and was a member of the Brindle Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors are: six sons; Bill Abney of New Madison, Oh., Aaron Abney of Colorado Springs, Co., Garnett, and Walter Abney both of Mt. Vernon, John Abney of Harrison, Ind., and Lanny Abney of Oxford, Oh. Two daughters; Mrs. Anna Joyce Morrison of Dayton, Oh., and Mrs. Calra Dean Kienzle of Bradenton, Fla. Three brothers; James Baker of Dayton, Oh., Byron Baker of Mt. Vernon, and Charles Baker of Dayton, Oh. One sister; Mrs. Irene Dooley of Dayton, Oh. Nineteen grandchildren, and thirty - one great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by; her husband; Walter Lee Abney,
and by; two sons, one brother, and two sisters.

Robert Abner
Robert Abner of Bedford, IN, died Friday, December 24, 1999, at his residence. Born on July 13, 1932, in Winchester, KY, he was the son of Pleas and Jannie (Ginter ) Abner. He married
Helen Beasley on September 7, 1952, and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Janie Bedingham of Madison, IN, Mary Ann Ault of Medora, IN, and Sharon Ingle of Bedford, IN; one son, Les Abner of Bedford, IN; his mother, Jannie Abner of Medora, IN; six brothers: John Abner of Clifford, IN, Boyd Abner of Columbus, IN, Harold Abner of Bedford, IN, Ernest Abner of Madison, IN; Paul Abner of Lumberton, NC, and David Abner of Norman, IN; six sisters: Lida J. Robertson of Bedford, IN, Mary Lou Sharer of Columbus, IN, Sally Stephens of Brownstown, IN, Patty Nelson of Lawrence, KS, Carolyn Thompson and Renotta Wilcox, both of Bedford, IN; twenty - two grandchildren, nine great - grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; three brothers, Raymond, Woody, and Thomas Dewey Abner; and one son, "Red" Abner in, 1997. He was branch manager at Skelgas for twenty - nine years. He worked for Farm Bureau Co - Op in Mitchell and at the Lawrence County Compactor site. He retired in 1999. He was a 1952 graduate of Medora High School. He attended Englewood Baptist Church and was a member of Cedar Lodge # 161 F&AM Leesville, the York Rite in Bedford, the Murat Temple in Indianapolis, the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, and the La - Or - Ma Shrine Club. Services for Robert Abner will be at 1:30 Wednesday, December 29th, at the Ferguson - Lee Funeral Home with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 - 9 p.m. Tuesday, and from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at Ferguson - Lee Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. by members of the Leesville Cedar Lodge $161, F&AM.

ABNER, Robert "Robbie", 38, son of James and Jean Abner, died Sun, May 6, 2007 as a result of renal failure. Survivors other than parents are children, Tyler and Tori Abner; sister, Shana Abner; grandmothers, Frances Guynn and Edna Abner; the mother of his children, Leslie Abner; and many friends and relatives. Funeral services will be 2pm Wed at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - Main St by Bro. Wayne Stevenson. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. Roger was born Dec. 9, 1941, in Scottsbluff to Roy and Maude (Linscott) Abner. He grew up and received his education in Scottsbluff and was graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1957. He farmed in the area before starting his own construction company building homes in the area. He was an over the road truck for several area companies. He was employed as maintenance supervisor for Chimney Rock Villa from 1998 until his retirement in October 2003. He married
Olivene Chasteen Sept. 6, 1994, in Hot Springs, S.D. Roger loved using his computer and shopping on e - bay.
He is survived by his wife Olivene; son, Bryan Abner of Atkinson, Neb.; daughter, Sheri (Jay) Ehler of Sidney, Neb.; step daughter, Tina Mathiesen of Denver; grandchildren, Zane Abner, Addie Abner, Bowdy Ehler, Paxton Ehler, Allie Ehler and Shaughnessy Mathiesen; sisters, Susan (Kenneth) Klein of Frederick, Colo. and Mary Ann (Powd) Bolles of Hanna, Wyo. His parents preceded Roger in death.

ABNER, Russell E., 61, husband of Betsy Hubbard Abner, died Sat May 12, 2007 at his residence. Born in Manchester, KY, he was the son of the late Johnny and Mallie Bundy Abner. He was a truck driver for 4th St. Implement.
Survivors other than his wife include one brother, Olin Abner, Manchester; three sisters, Diana Valentine, Manchester, Tina Amos, New Albany, IN, and Brenda Tincher, Palaka, FL; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2pm Tue at Kerr Brother Funeral Home, Main Street by Pastor Dewell Perry.

A native of Wolfe County, he was the son of the late Roby and Florence Perry Booth. He was a retired deputy director of the Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 20, the Northside Baptist Church. Orville Abner
Orville Abner, 65, of Adams Lane, the husband of Joan Davidson Abner and the father of James Paul Abner, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, March 24, 2006, with his family at his side. He was a retired employee of IBM and a former instructor at Lexington Community College. He was a member of the board of directors of The Members Heritage Federal Credit Union. Patricia Jane Vinassa Abney
1921 - 2002
Patricia Jane Vinassa Abney died at her home in Fortuna, California on Saturday, November 23. Born of Irish immigrants in 1921 in Homestead, PA near Pittsburgh, she came to San Francisco in 1952 with her sister Mary Mannion. Patricia taught at Cappuchino High School in Burlingame for several years, met and married
Sylvio Vinassa in 1955 and moved to San Jose. There she became active in their church, St. Martins, where she took to organizing the parish office and keeping the priests in line earning the title ""Pope's Secretary' from her husband.
Patricia was widowed in 1983. A few years later she met Phil playing bridge with a group. Later Phil worked up his nerve and asked if he could follow her home. She said yes. This decision lead to their marriage on November 26, 1989 at St. Martins. Together they traveled, danced and golfed. Patricia won many golfing trophies and scored a hole - in - one. She loved music, played the organ and gave lessons. Pat constantly sang and hummed throughout the house. She volunteered at the hospital for many years and soon had Phil involved. Phil and Patricia attended Abney family reunions from Oklahoma and Canada. She will be greatly missed. Pat and Phil moved to Fortuna 14 months ago to be closer to family. Patricia's health had been failing since her dear sister, Mary died several years ago. Pat died peacefully in her sleep. God Rest Her Soul.
Pat was preceded in death by her sister Mary and brother William Mannion. She is survived by her loving husband Phil, his daughter Karen and her family, her niece and nephews and their children, and her sister - in - law Julia Mannion. Friends are invited to attend Services on Saturday, 11/30/02 at 9:00 a.m. at LIMA FAMILY SANTA CLARA MORTUARY, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara, then to St. Martin of Tours Church, 200 O'Connor Drive, San Jose, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.

Pearl Abney
Pearl Abney, 75, of 264 Ridgeway Drive, died at 8:05PM Wednesday at the Clark County Hospital after a long illness.
He was a native of Powell County, a son of the late Clem and Allie Abner Abney, a retired Sylvania employee and a member of the Ruckerville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edith Drake Abney; a daughter, Mrs. Evadna Wilcox, Clark County; six grandchildren Larry and Danny Abney, Mrs. Linda Saylor, Billy Ray, Ronnie and Terry Wilcox, and five great - grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30PM Friday at the Scobee Funeral Home by Marvin Ringer. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ellis Abner, Ivan Psimer, Andrew Lloyd, Jimmy Woosley, and Donnie and Doug Shepard.

ODESSA - - Plez C. Abney died Saturday, April 23. Burial was Monday, April 25 in Chillicothe.
He was born June 6, 1925, in Wynnewood, Okla. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was employed as an auto mechanic until his retirement. He was employed with the Sewell Motor Co., Chaparral Race Cars, Broncho Chevrolet and Midland Paint and Body. Survivors include his wife, Nelda Thomas Abney of Odessa; daughter, Gayle Watkins of Odessa; son, Gary Abney of Odessa; sister, Altha Peterson of Odessa; five grandchildren; 12 great - grandchildren; and two great - great - grandchildren; a brother, Archie Abney of Midland; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
