MARGIE ANN WALKER, 82, of East Lynn, WV, went to be with her heavenly father Tuesday, October 23, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2007 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor A. J. Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones death, along with two sisters, Pearl Davis and Fern Episcopo, and two brothers, Ernest Watts and Raymond Samuel. Margie was a loving mother who enjoyed crocheting, spending time with all her grandkids, and was a member of the Bethlehem United Baptist Church, Raccoon Creek.
Survivors include one brother, Walton Watts and his wife Esther of New York; two sons, Kenneth Walker and his wife Donna of East Lynn, and Elmer Walker and his wife Ruth of Genoa; two daughters, Gladys Pauley of East Lynn and Lettie Walker who lived at home and took very special care of her mother until the end; five grandchildren, including special granddaughter, Kim Ferguson and her husband Robert of Branchland, WV; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of friends and family.

CLAUDE D. TOPPINS, 61, of Kiahsville, WV, departed this life Sunday, October 21, 2007, at home. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Earl Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in the Frances Creek Family death.
Claude leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Wava Adkins Toppins; five daughters, Amanda Adkins, Mary Street and husband James, Becky Raby, Ashley Nicole Toppins, all of Kiahsville, and Stacy Wiley and her husband Bobby Joe, of Wayne, WV; two sons, Phillip Toppins and his wife Carrie of Chapmanville, WV, and Carl Toppins of Cleveland, OH; one sister, Dean Vance and husband Bernard, of Harts, WV; two brothers, Buck Toppins and his wife Barb of Harts, WV and Bodie Marcum and wife Liz of Huntington, WV; twelve grandchildren; and special sister-in-law Sue Gibson of Chapmanville, WV.
Claude was a disabled coal miner. He loved telling stories, talking, and visiting with family and friends. The family will receive visitors after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is honored to serve the Toppins family.
EZRA "FROGGY" BRINEGAR, 70, of Wayne, husband of Margaret Brinegar, Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens.
He was went to be with the Lord Monday, October 15, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Eddie McComas officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins death. Tucker was a member of the Wolfpen Church of Christ.
Survivors include five brothers: Wetzel ‘Ham’ Adkins of East Lynn, Asbury Adkins and wife Luella ‘Tootsie’, of East Lynn, Donald ‘Brother’ Adkins of Proctorville, OH, Alderson ‘Fats’ Adkins of East Lynn, and Dennis Lee Adkins of Spring Valley; three sisters: Lillian Kazee of East Lynn, Ruth ‘Tiny’ Bartram of Huntington, and Goldie Dillon and her husband Roy of Glenrock, Penn.; one daughter, Teresa Ramey and husband David of Knoxville, Tenn., three sons: Chris Adkins of Asheville, NC, Brian Adkins and wife Angie of East Lynn, and Delaine Adkins of East Lynn; five grandsons: Justin Adams of Wayne, Jonathan Clark of East Lynn, Zach Dalton of East Lynn, Nick Pelfrey of Wayne, and Dallas Dakota Adkins of East Lynn; one granddaughter, Kelli Nicole Adkins of East Lynn; special friends Huey Adkins, Pam Napier, Pat Napier, Charlotte Clay, Truman and Linda McSweeney, all of East Lynn, Shawna Adkins of Lavalette, Pam Dent of Cabwaylingo, and Mandy Maynard of Genoa; and friends and neighbors too numerous to mention.
The family will receive visitors after 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
GARY LEE SMITH, 64, of Wayne, WV, Burial will follow in the Warwick death.
Survivors include his son, Dennis Miller, Jr., of London, OH; seven sisters: Malta Tincher and husband Bob of Abbeyville, SC, Adda Jane Cyrus of Mineral City, OH, Rhoda "Erma" Scott and husband Robert of Greenwood, SC, Grace Wallace and husband Curtis of Fort Gay, WV, Donna Miller of Wayne, WV, Patsy Arner of Wooster, OH, and Gwynell Davis and husband Teddy of Clinton, SC; two brothers, Carl Miller of Wooster, OH and Scott Miller and wife Carol of Wadsworth, OH; special nephews Tony Wallace and Troy Wallace of Fort Gay, WV; and a host of friends and family.
FREDERICK FRANKLIN LEEDY II, 59, of Wayne went to be with the Lord, Monday, September 17, 2007 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. death, along with one sister, Garnett Freeman.
Survivors include two sisters, Myrtle Taylor and husband Sam of Kiahsville, WV and Grethel Wiley and husband Ted of East Lynn; one brother, Hallie Williamson and wife Marie of Wayne; seven daughters, Myrtle Coleman and husband Mark of East Lynn, Linda Cornell and husband Robert of Cleveland, OH; Norma Adkins and husband Richard of East Lynn, Dora Adkins and husband Anthony of Wayne, Joyce Adkins and husband Carlos of East Lynn, Edie Wright and husband Kevin of Hazard, KY, and Lois Jean Stanley of East Lynn; one son, Tommy Staley and wife Betty of East Lynn; 16 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors including best friend Jack Adkins of East Lynn.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 Friday, September 21, 2007 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Paul Maynard and Pastor Dolphus Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Terry Williamson preceded in Burial will follow in the Jerry Williamson Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
