RUBY LEE GILKERSON, 91, of East Lynn, WV, left this life Monday, April 16, 2007 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2007 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Emuel Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilkerson Family preceded in went to be with the Lord Friday, April 13, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Emuel Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Watson preceded in went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 5, 2007 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor James Mounts officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood preceded in went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 21, 2007. preceded in Burial will follow in the Sol Perry Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the funeral.
ORVILLE BOWEN, 63, of Lavalette, WV death was two sisters, Bootsy McCoy and Vernie Ramey, two brothers, Okey Bowen and Everette Brown, and one son, Timothy Bowen.
Orville is survived by his wife, Leta Bowen of Lavalette; one brother, James Bowen and wife Vila of Denton, ND; four daughters: Betty Cox and husband Dwight of Wayne, Edna Skeens of Wayne, Ana Sanders & husband Jed of Lavalette, and Samantha Bowen of Lavalette; three grandchildren: Kendra Skeens of Wayne, Timothy Bowen, Jr. of Summershade, KY< and Jazmyn Sanders of Lavalette; special friend Jessica Pittman of Summershade, KY; and a host of friends and family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home with Evangelist Wyn Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Orville Bowen went to be with the Lord Monday, February 26, 2007. Survivors include her daughter, Helen Walters Collins of Wayne; four sons, Willie Walters, Marvin Walters, Flem Walters, and Terry Walters, all of Wayne; and a special granddaughter, Darlene Collins Belcher of Wayne, whose help and kindness throughout the years has been so greatly appreciated. Shirley also leaves behind a host of friends and family too numerous to mention. The Walters Family wishes to express that they will forever miss and love the special “Nanny”.
Private funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday February 6, 2007 at Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Harris officiating.
