JAMES L. DICK, 89, of Wayne, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 27, 2008. Audrey was a retired nurse’s aide and attended the Crossroads Baptist Church and Lavalette Baptist Church. She loved reading the Bible, enjoyed cooking, and cherished her time with her family.
Survivors include her loving husband, John Adkins; six daughters, Kay Kennedy of Huntington, Linda Miller of Atlanta, Ga., Frances Hall and husband Jim of Huntington, Janet Blankenship and husband Eddie of Wayne, W.Va., Marsha Seigle and husband Alden of Prichard, W.Va., and Kathy Bais and husband Keith of Huntington; four sons, Jerry Browning of Huntington, Greg Adkins and wife Karen of Wayne, Johnny Adkins and wife Susan, and Okie Adkins and wife Debbie, all of Huntington. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren including special granddaughter, Renee Kennedy of Huntington; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Carl Ratcliff and wife Patty of Huntington; special friends from Hospice and the St. Mary’s Home Health team; and friends and neighbors too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Elder Jimmy Lester officiating. Also surviving are two sisters, Ruby Gibbs and Gladys Webb, both of Oh.; and a host of friends and family.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Roger Maynard officiating. Survivors include two sisters, Helen Fugett of Borderland, W.Va., and Mary Magdalene Fugett and husband Jim of Fosteria, Oh; two brothers, William Earl Snodgrass of Fosteria, Oh, and Raymond Snodgrass of Cleveland, Oh; one special niece, Mary Helen Williamson and husband Nathan of Genoa, W.Va.; and friends and family too numerous to mention. Richard was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War, as well as a faithful member and officer of the VFW Post 8429 in Ceredo. He was a retired auto mechanic and loved 4-wheeling in his spare time.
He leaves behind three daughters, Sherry Chafin of Ohio, Tammy Cunningham of Wayne and her husband Jamie, whom Richard thought of as a son, and Caroline Lou Chafin of Huntington, W.Va.; two sons, Richard Chafin and his wife Jesse of Wayne, and Shannon Chafin and his wife Nacole of Arkansas; and 14 grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Deloris Adkins and husband Waldo, Judy Drenner and husband Benny, and Charlott Adkins and husband Braxton, all of Huntington; three brothers, Jerry Chafin and wife Betty of Maryland, William Chafin of Huntington, and Phillip Chafin and wife Catherine of Wayne; very special niece Joyann Belcher and her husband Sam of Wayne; special friends Kelly Arnold and family; several nieces and nephews, many who called him "Poppy"; and friends and neighbors too numerous too mention. He was death along with one daughter, Mary Theresa Terry, three brothers, George Terry, Sr., Ceril Terry, and Johnny Terry, and one sister, Georgetta Snodgrass. Pharis was a retired well driller and served our country in the US Army.
Survivors include three sons, Timothy Wayne Terry and his wife Cindy, Rick Terry, and Pharis Winfield Terry, Jr., all of Wayne, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Robert Fry, Elizabeth Beekman, Jesse Fry, Amy Terry, Nathan Terry, Natasha Terry, Anna Terry, Eva Terry, and Dakota Terry, all of Wayne; and three great-grandchildren, Jaiden Fry of Huntington, Kaylee Fry, and Landon Tyler Beekman, both of Wayne.

FRED PRICE, 80, of Kenova, W.Va., widower of Alberta Stumbo Price, death, along with four sisters, Esther Copley, Stella Copley, Mary Rae and Vada Stanley.
Fred proudly served our country in the US Navy. He was retired from the General Motors Plant in Pontiac, Michigan, and was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church on Rt. 75. Fred was loved by many.
Survivors include two brothers, Holland Price of Weatherford, Texas, and Ralph Price of Crum, W.Va.; one sister Lucille Evans and her husband Zeke of Victorville, California as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2008 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Randall L. Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Dock’s Creek entered into rest Friday, June 6, 2008 at the VA Medical Center. He was went to be with the Lord Friday, June 6, 2008 at the Hospice House of Huntington. He was death along with one sister, Dixie Adkins. He worked as a mechanic and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Janessa Workman and her husband Mark of Huntington, W.Va., and Michael Drenner II of East Lynn, W.Va.; four great-grandchildren, Haley Brooke Sartin, Danielle Renee Sartin, Deseree Nicole Sartin, and Mark Anthony Workman II, all of Huntington, W.Va.; and ex-wife Doris Hetzel. Also surviving are two sisters, Alice Drenner of Ashland, KY, and Mary Clark of East Lynn, W.Va.; one brother, Benny Ray Drenner of Lavalette, W.Va.; and a host of friends and family.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Harold Pelfrey officiating. Survivors include one daughter, Florida Daniels Beaulieu and her husband John of Cherokee, NC; one son, Chester Golden Daniels of East Lynn, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Terrie Lee Hayes and her husband Jeremy of Mannington, W.Va., and Gilbert Irvin Daniels of East Lynn, W.Va. ; and one great grandchild on the way. Also surviving are two sisters, Norma Burgess of Kiahsville, W.Va., with whom she made her home, and Elizabeth Jones and husband Chester of Genoa, W.Va.; one brother, Golden Vaughan and his wife "Sis" of Proctorville, OH; four nieces, Karen Johnson and her husband Mark of Kenova, W.Va., Debbie Kitchen of Wayne, W.Va., Beverly Livingston and her husband Kenny of Leon, W.Va., and Anna Queen and her husband Carl Ray of Lavalette, W.Va.; three nephews, Walter Aldridge and his wife Mars of Cleveland, OH, Michael Jones of Genoa, W.Va., and David Marcum of Wayne, W.Va.; and a host of friends and family. A special thanks is extended to Wayne Community Service, Regina Ward and Lee Jordan for their friendship and care.

Faburn was death, along with one son, Luther Rice; two brothers, Raymond Rice and Howard Rice; and three sisters, Evelyn Rice, Marie Cox, and Rita Faye Simmons. Faburn attended Wayne Church of God and he was loved by all who knew him.
Survivors include two sisters, Arbutis Moore and her husband Estel of Wayne, W.Va., and Deloris Jean Queen and her husband Gary of East Lynn, W.Va.; four brothers, Dennis Rice and his wife June of Wayne, W.Va., Richard Rice and his wife Betty of Huntington, W.Va., Dewey Rice and his wife Alice of Guyandotte, W.Va., and Arbie Rice and his wife Ida of Wayne, W.Va. Also surviving is one son, Larry Rice of Florida; special friends Scott and Loretta Marshall, Gussie Ferguson, Floyd and Hester McSweeney, and Aley and Roberta Williamson all of Wayne, W.Va.; and friends and neighbors too numerous to mention.
