DRENNA MICHELLE TURLEY-GONZALEZ, 40, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Branchland, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 8, 2010. She was death along with one sister, Noriko Cleveland. Sonomi was a homemaker and loved studying the Bible. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Michelle Parsley; three grandchildren, Heather Nicole Rozelle, Eric Michael Rozelle, and Austin Franklin Tucker; former husband, Bill Parsley, all of Huntington, W.Va.; and special friend Junko Dyer of Wayne. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the Vance went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2010, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, KY. RHONDA LYNN STEELE NAPIER, 54, of Lavalette, W.Va., preceded in Cemetery, East Lynn, W.Va. for a Graveside Service.
JOHNNIE FRANKLIN EDWARDS, 94, of Wayne, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 12, 2010. He was death, along with one daughter, Katy Crowder. He was a retired machinist from INCO, a member of INCO Retirees, S.O.R.E. Chapter, and the CCCs as well as a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. Johnnie stayed active through his retirement, gardening till age 89, working crossword puzzles till age 90 and walking until his final year. He was also an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Roberta Adkins and husband Marvin, Carol Fry and husband Pete, all of Wayne; one son-in-law, Jim Crowder of Winterhaven, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Elaine Martino and husband Ron of Proctorville, Oh., Kent Adkins and wife Pam of Columbus, Oh., Beth Cade and husband Shawn, Virginia Adkins, Steven Fry, Randy Pete Fry and wife Nancy, all of Wayne, Dr. John Fry and wife Heather of Kenova, W.Va., Andy Crowder, Robin Burry and husband Richard, Eva Crowder, and Leah Britt and husband Kevin, all of Winterhaven, Fla.; 10 great grandchildren, Ethan and Cameron Cade, Austin Fry, Sara Fry, Kristin and Derek Crowder, Brady and Bailey Burry, and Madison and Ali Britt; and one great-great grandchild, Katlyn Crowder.
Also surviving is one sister, Judy Warren and husband Paul of Huntington; several loving nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Stepp officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. She was death, along with five sisters, Lizzie Clark, Rachel Whitten, Rhoda Clark, Marie Wooten, and Ethel Watts. Grace was a homemaker and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ross Wilson; three sons, Robert Wilson and wife Melba, Don Wilson and wife Edna, and Billy Wilson and wife Darlene, all of Genoa; four grandchildren, Sherry Eaves and husband Jeff of Genoa, Kelly Wilson of Genoa, Brian Wilson and wife Erin of Ft. Gay, W.Va., and Billy Wilson II and wife Elisha of Genoa; five great grandchildren, Bret Eaves and Ciana Eaves, both of Genoa, Melany Wilson and Gabriel Wilson, both of Ft. Gay, and Billy Wilson III of Genoa, and one additional great grandchild on the way.
Also surviving is one brother, Lindsey Webb of Oak Hill, Ohio; one sister, Frances Tabor of Wayne, W.Va.; and a host of additional family, friends, and neighbors, too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Wilson went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 27, 2010. She was death, along with six brothers and four sisters. Illa was a good Christian and loved the Lord.
Survivors include her children, Brenda Jordan, Cindy Pierce and her fianc Phillip Adkins who is also a special friend of the family, Bill Pierce and his wife Teresa, and Willard Pierce and his wife Laura; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers; and two sisters.
The family would like to thank home health tech, Cleo Osbourn for all the care and love she gave Illa, and also Hospice of Wayne, Hospice House of Huntington, and all the staff members for the care and support they gave.
Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Otis Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in the Vaughan Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
