Patricia Fausz, devoted to family

Her children, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren were the light of Patricia June Fausz's life.

Mrs. Fausz, 67, of Alexandria, died at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East in Ft. Thomas.

She was a retired welder with Kent Co. in Bellevue and a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Bellevue. Her husband, Albert E. Fausz, died in 1992.

"She was the typical mom and a grandma, " said a son, James Fausz of Alexandria. "She enjoyed being around all the kids."

Mrs. Fausz grew up in Bellevue and went to Bellevue High School. In her later years, she lived with her son James.

Other survivors include sons, Sam Fausz of Alexandria, Drew Fausz of Bellevue and Kevin Fausz of Berry; a daughter, Sandy Ruck of Bellevue; a brother, Jim Link of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Memorials are suggested to the church, St. John United Church of Christ, Ward and Fairfield, Bellevue 41075.

Mila Jean Adams, 62, of Covington, died at 3:35 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. She was a homemaker and a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church, Covington; White Shrine of Jerusalem and Vashti Chapter No. 22 Order of the Eastern Star, Covington. Her husband, Eugene Adams, died March 4.

Survivors include stepsons, Eugene Adams of Erlanger, William Adams of Latonia, Richard Adams and James Adams, both of Crescent Springs, and George Adams of Ludlow; a stepdaughter, JoAnn Webster of West Covington; brothers, Raymond Gross and Ricky Gross, both of Northern Kentucky; sisters, Faye Russell, Athena Gross and Deborah Ecklar, all of Northern Kentucky; 16 stepgrandchildren and eight great-stepgrandchildren.

Services will be at noon Thursday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to the hospice, 401 E. 20th St., Covington 41014.

Oma Ball, 75, of Bellevue, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of Montana Avenue Church of the Nazarene, Cincinnati. Her husband, John Ball, died in 1975.

Survivors include sons, John E. Ball of Fayetteville, Ohio, and Vernon Ball of Ryland Heights; daughters, Brenda Morford of Dayton, Debbie Dye of Hebron and Judy Mullins of Norwood, Ohio; 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

Gerald Bascom Barlow, 69, of Cynthiana, died Monday at Edgemont Nursing Home in Cynthiana. He was self-employed and a member of the National Guard. He was a former employee of Joseph Seagram Distillery and a former Kentucky State Police officer.

Survivors include his wife, Lottie Carroll Barlow; daughters, Sondra Fryman of Nicholas County, Patricia Carroll Barlow and Marilyn Ann Barlow, both of Cynthiana, and Jimmie Barlow Johnson of Lexington; a stepdaughter, Charlotte Charlton of Cynthiana; his mother, Beatrice Jacobs Booth of Carlisle; half-brothers, Kimball Booth of Carlisle and William Barlow of Portland, Ind.; nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Drake Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana. Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church, Oddville United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass. Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, Cynthiana, is handling arrangements.

Ernest Brown, 84, of Carrollton, died Tuesday at Carroll County Hospital in Carrollton. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Riley of Carrollton; a brother, Earl Brown of Monticello; and sisters, Dorothy Bickers of Carrollton, Oley King of Lexington, and Mary Dello of Ghent.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McDonald Funeral Home, Main Street, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ghent Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the funeral home, 202 N. Main St., Owenton 40359.

Matthew Bryant, 65, of Waxahachie, Texas, formerly of Grants Lick, died Sunday at his home. He was a mechanic and driver with Consolidated Freight, Dallas, and a member of Aspen Grove Lodge No. 397 F&AM, Grants Lick; Scottish Rite Indra Consistory Valley of Covington and Syrian Shrine, Cincinnati. He also was a Korean War veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Bryant; sons, Dwight Bryant of Beechmont, Ohio, and Greg Bryant of Waxahachie; daughters, Sheila Tyler and Natasha Bryant, both of Waxahachie; brothers, Everett Bryant of Danville, Delmer Bryant of Loveland, Ohio, and Walter Bryant of Nashville; a sister, Wilma Byrd of Grants Lick; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery.

William Thomas Claypool, 78, of Cynthiana, died Monday at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana. He was a retired farmer and a member of Clarks Creek Baptist Church, Dry Ridge.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Louise Thomas Claypool; a son, Billy Ray Claypool of Williamstown; daughters, Garnetta Rork of Crittenden, Ruby Shelton of Cynthiana and Joyce Hensley of Cordova; a brother, Julius Claypool of Williamstown; sisters, Effie Daniel of Ft. Mitchell and Flossie Hering of Morrow, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Drake Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

Mary Conner, 80, of Ft. Thomas died at 12:24 p.m. March 18 at Highlands of Ft. Thomas. She was a retired administrator with American Financial.

No services are planned. Memorials are suggested to Salvation Army, 114 E. Central Parkway, Cincinnati 45210. Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas, is handling arrangements.

Mary Crowe, 95, of Ft. Wright, died Tuesday at The Highlands, Ft. Thomas. Arrangements are pending at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia.

Winford Evans, 73, of Corinth, died Tuesday at his home. He was a farmer and a former machine operator with Phillips Manufacturing Co., Williamstown. He was a truck driver with Grant County Road Department and an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Rena Vay Sexton Evans; sons, Winford Keith Evans of Louisville, Scott Evans of Berea and Robert Evans of Corinth; a brother, Billy Ray Evans of Corinth; a sister, Christine Griffin of Erlanger; and one grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

Gladys Marie Maye Lancaster, 77, of Cynthiana, died Monday at Columbia Hospital, Lexington. She was a homemaker and a member of Boyers Chapel United Methodist Church, Cynthiana, and Sadieville Senior Citizens. Her husband, Clarence Reed Lancaster, died in 1981.

Survivors include a sister, Ann Frances Parker of Cynthiana.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Drake Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Beard's Cemetery, Davis.

Edna R. Baker Mitchell, 76, of Covington, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington. She was a retired waitress with Old Vegas Club and several local nightclubs.

Survivors include a son, Stanley Conley of Covington; her mother, Lillie Baker of Covington; sisters, Dottie Mullins of California and Barbara Wehrman of Latonia; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin there at noon Friday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

William Ott, 82, of Highland Heights, died at 6:51 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. He was a retired supervisor with Cincinnati Gas & Electric Co.

Survivors include his wife, Arvella Carter Ott.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

James Sylvester Slaughter, 84, of Newport, died Sunday at Providence Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired employee of Interlake Steel, Newport. His wife, Geneva Slaughter, died in 1992.

Survivors include a son, Richard L. Slaughter of Cincinnati; and daughters, Marie Annette Slaughter and Genevieve Slaughter, both of Newport.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jones and Simpson Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin there at noon Thursday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

Harold Taylor, 83, of Covington, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington. He was a retired employee of Michael Art Bronze Co., Ft. Wright, and a member of St. James A.M.E. Church, Covington. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 166. His wife, Ruth Taylor, died in 1985.

Survivors include a daughter, Estella Stewart of Covington; a son, Arthur Lee Marks of Covington; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church. Visitation will begin there at 6 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Mary Smith Memorial Cemetery, Covington. Delaney-Garr Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

Peter Teremi Sr., 86, of Covington, died Monday at Garrard Street Convalescent Center in Covington. He was a retired iron molder with Reliance Foundry, Cincinnati, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Covington. A son, Peter Teremi, died in 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Thompson Teremi; a son, James Teremi of Wasilla, Alaska; a brother, Stephen Teremi of Newport; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Radel Funeral Home Newport. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Anna May Tillett, 60, of Germantown, died Tuesday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Brookville, Ind.

Survivors include her husband, William Tillett Sr.; sons, William D. Tillett of Mayslick, Daniel Tillett of Batesville, Ind., and John Tillett of Warsaw; stepsons, Rodney Tillett of Ohio and Douglas Tillett of Missouri; daughters, Wanda Thomas of Brookville, Ind., Vickie Carrington, Pamela Carrington and Sandra Kiskaden, all of Germantown, and Donna Haney of Ft. Knox; brothers, Claude Oliver of Texas, Charles Oliver of Georgia, Walter Oliver and Archie Oliver, both of Ohio; sisters, Betty Green of Ohio, Lorie Davis and Beaulah Murphy, both of Florida; a half-brother, Howard Oliver; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Drake Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Republican Church Cemetery, Cynthiana. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope, 1 W. McDonald Parkway, Maysville 41056.

Gary Lee Warner, 37, of Falmouth, died Tuesday at his home. Arrangements are pending at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.
