MARK PRESTON MEDDINGS, 94, of Lavalette, W.Va., death, along with one brother, Ivan Meddings; one sister, Bessie Edmonds; and daughter-in-law, Linda Meddings.
Mark retired from Owens Illinois and was a member and Deacon of Charity United Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Virginia Napier and husband Thomas, Barbara Stephens and husband Adolphis, and Jean Mills and husband Ray, all of Lavalette; two sons, Robert L. Meddings and wife Gloria K., and Roger P. Meddings and wife Nancy both of Marion, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 15 great great-grandchildren. The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Ray Williamson and Jr. Bias for their friendship and spiritual and emotional support, as well as to caregivers Nancy and Kassie, Hospice of Huntington, and the nursing staff at St. Marys Medical Center for their loving care.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor O. F. Adkins and Deacon Jr. Bias officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington. MARY BELL DRENNER CLARK, 84, death along with one son, Forest; one daughter, Pinia Jean Bais; two brothers, Forest and William Bill Drenner; and one sister, Dixie Adkins. Mary retired from Hillview Nursing Home where she worked for many years.
Survivors include one sister, Alice Sue Finley; one brother, Benny Ray Drenner; her children whom she loved dearly, Ellison Butch Clark, Fletcher Tiny Clark and wife Linda, Roy Pookie Clark, Rocky Clark, Darlene Tomblin and husband Joe, Mike, Shela, Cassidy and husband Roy, and Keith Clark; 27 grandchildren: Shelly Grimm, Randy, Savannah, and Chase Clark, Andrea Watson, Lisa Broce, Angela Clark, Brenda Book, Wendy Bundy, Tammy Clark, Bobby Allen, Roy, Pa,, Matthew and Daniel Steele, Betty Bailey, Debbie Parsley, Shawn and Christy Bias, Joseph and Sherana Tomblin, Steven Clark, Bobby, Andy, Chris, and Tasha Blackburn, and Jonathan Clark.
She was also blessed with 37 great-grandchildren; and one special friend Georgia Maynard, who spent many evenings with her. Marys home was always open to her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Elder YOUNGEA VILLE STEELE, 99, of East Lynn, W.Va., entered into eternal life Thursday, June 11, 2009, at the Emogene Dolen Hospice House. He was preceded in death. His example of a Christian life lived and the love of God and his church inspired young pastors to preach the Word of God.
Funeral services will be held at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. with Brothers Greenway Parsley, Jerry Casteele, J.C. Skeens, and Jeremiah Williamson officiating. Singers will be the Osburn Family. Burial will follow at the Skeens death, along with brothers Casa, William, Lowell, Clifford, and Sampson Perry, and sisters, Ethel Perry, Jane Alexander, Virginia Brewster, and Lilly Marcum.
Survivors include one sister, Alma Corbitt and husband Russell of Springfield, Tenn.; one son, Russell Dale Perry and wife Kathy of Dunlow; one granddaughter, Kathy Smith and husband Homer; one great-granddaughter, Lauryn Grace Smith. Also surviving are three step-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; special friend Rylenea Brewer; special cousin David Eslick; and faithful canine companion, Smokey.
Russell served in the 1st Armored Division of the US Army. He was a retired coal miner from Island Crek, Pittston Coal Corp., MSHA Insp., and also worked for Fisher Body Fleetwood Cadillac. Russell enjoyed spending time with loved ones, especially the apple of his eye, Lauryn Grace. He also loved the outdoors and reading the Bible. The family would like to thank caregivers for their love and care, especially Love Day, Missy Matthews, Missy Bragg, Susan Harris, and Zach Curry, as well as the staff at the VA Hospital and Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Burial will follow in the William Perry death were three brothers, Leonard Cassidy, Taylor Cassidy, Jr., and an unnamed infant brother; two sisters, Mabel Wilson and Irene Cassidy, and two brothers-in-law, Jay Wilson and Raymond Rowe, all of Genoa.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Glen Gelious Adkins; one son and daughter-in-law, Geoffrey Glenn and Deborah Hatfield Adkins. Also surviving is one sister, Louise Rowe; two sisters-in-law, Mabel Clark Cassidy and Louise Webb Cassidy, all of Genoa, W.Va., and numerous nieces and nephews.

DELMAS LEE TRIPLETT, 62, of Huntington, W.Va., death. Surviving are his wife, Mary Etta Napier Triplett; his mother, Vina McComas Triplett; his brother, Melvin Triplett, and wife Pamela; and his niece Sara Lynn Triplett all of Morgantown, W.Va.
Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Hazel Napier; his brother-in-law, James R. Napier; his sister-in-law, Linda Clark and husband Tiny; several nieces and nephews including one very special niece Marinda, whom he loved so very much. Delmas will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2009 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Triplett officiating. GOBLE G. RICHARDSON, 68, of Wayne, W.Va., went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, April 15, 2009. He was death, along with one sister, Violet Fryer.
Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Wanda Lee Merritt Richardson; two daughters, Michelle Dennison and her husband Bruce of Lavalette, W.Va., and Camille McGahey and husband John of Bentonville, AR; three sons, Tracy Richardson of Wayne, Chris Richardson and fianc Lara Queen of Genoa, W.Va., and George Richardson of Wayne and special friend Laura Holton; two brothers, James Richardson and wife Anna Mae of Wayne, and Jackie Richardson and wife Barbara of North Ridgeville, Oh.; two sisters, Nellie Thompson and late husband Sherwood of Wayne, and Estelle Howard of Detroit, Mich.
He was a loving papaw to six grandchildren, Ashley Richardson, Brandon and Nicholas Dennison, Austin Richardson, Allison and Jennifer McGahey; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens with Military rites performed by the VFW Post 6103 and American Legion Post 89 Honor Guard. HARRY TAYLOR PERRY, 83, of Genoa, W.Va., death. Harry served in the US Army and was retired from the International Nickel Company.

Graveside services will immediately follow at the John Perry preceded in death, yet celebrate his life: sister-in-law, Ginny Brooks of Trenton, N.J.; nephew, Bill Hand, his wife, Sheryl, and daughter, Vicki, and her family of Birmingham, Ala.; niece, Camille Watts, her husband, Charles, and daughter, Denise, and her family, of Purcelville, Va.; and his niece, Sandra Hand, and her children, Art Hand, of Huntington, and Katie and Bobby McCallister, of Eleanor, W.Va. After graduating from the New Jersey School for the Deaf, Irving worked for the Hibbard Group in Trenton, N.J. as a pressman for 48 years before retiring in 1989. He vacationed with his West Virginia family often, and soon after his retirement he accepted their invitation to move to Huntington permanently. He was a joy and inspiration to his new family, and he quickly became the focal point of their lives. His favorite pastime was baseball. As a teen and young adult, he played shortstop with the N.J. School for the Deaf. In spite of his hearing and vision handicaps, he always greeted everyone with a broad smile and sturdy handshake and eagerly shared his love of life.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the 2 p.m. service on Saturday at Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home in Wayne, W.Va. Cemetery, Salt Rock, W.Va.
PAUL JAMES MITCHELL, 61, loving husband and father, death along with two sisters, Lydia Warner, and Alverta Sparks.
Paul served in the United States Marines and was a retired truck driver. He was also a member of the Pentecostal Church in Three Springs, Penn.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Mitchell of East Lynn, W.Va., two daughters, Marietta Mitchell of Easy Lynn, W.Va., and Paula Smith of South Carolina; one son, Walter Mitchell of Prichard, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; and seven special grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers, Irvin Mitchell, Thomas Mitchell, George Mitchell, and Richard Mitchell; four sisters, Joann Bickel, Norma Jean Snyder, Anna Mae Snyder, and Peggy Townsley, all of Penn.; special friends Deborah and Bobby Workman of East Lynn, Parthina and Steve Ferguson of Genoa, W.Va., and Sharon and Roger Brooks of Wayne, W.Va.; and friends and neighbors too numerous to mention.
