Rodney Cameron
Cecil Rodney Cameron age 62, Cemetery Sherman, TX. Reverend James Crawford will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 7 – 8 p.m. at Dannel Funeral Home.
He was death by his parents, brothers: Donald Gene and Gary Cameron, two nephews: Nathan Thompson, Warren Rice and one niece: Abigail Cameron.
Pallbearers will be David Cameron, Jerry Cameron, Michael Cameron, Quest Cameron, Richard Cameron, David Pollard. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Cameron, John Cameron, Ronald Milam, Alex Cameron.
He is survived by two sons: John Cameron, Randy and wife Betty Cameron of Denison; three sisters: Sharon Carroll, Kay Milam, and Beverly Cameron of Arkansas; two brothers: Louis Cameron and Rex Cameron of Sherman, TX; seven grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Memorials in Rodney’s name may be sent to SPCA 2400 Lonestar DR, Dallas, TX 75212.
Richard W. Brown
Richard Wayne Brown, 51-year-old Sherman resident, Interment will follow at Georgetown born Sept. 17, 1957, in Stillwell, OK, to Paul and Geraldine Hill Brown. He attended school in Oklahoma and was employed by Kwik Set for 18 years before becoming a Paramedic. His interest in this vocation began when he was a volunteer with Preston Volunteer Emergency Services and was escalated while he was a CareFlight Paramedic in Frisco. He loved his job, his co-workers, his children, grandchildren, and the love of his life, Anita.
Preceded in married September 15, 2007. Also surviving is his daughter Heidi Davis and husband Michael of Pottsboro and Laura Brown, mother of Heidi; sons by marriage Bruce Criswell of Sherman, Doug Criswell and wife Blythe of Sherman, Lee Criswell and Christina of Sherman; mother Geraldine Brown of Henderson; brothers Jack Brown and wife Tessie of Guam and Gerald Brown of Henderson; grandchildren: Kristin Davis, Morgan Davis, Aaron Criswell, Brice Criswell, Seth Criswell, and Shelby Criswell; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Edward T. Murphy
Edward T. (Jackie) Murphy, Jr.
Graveside services for Mr. Murphy will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the veterans section of West Hill passed away peacefully Sunday, January 25 at Clyde W. Cosper State Veterans Home, Bonham, TX after a short illness.
He was death by parents, daughter Cindy Murphy, brother Elbert Murphy and grandparents.
Survived by son David Murphy (Buffie), daughter Kathryn Holder (Kelvin) 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons, brother James (Eloise) sister-in-law Dorothy Murphy, Linda Murphy Carter, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Edward worked for the Katy Railroad in Denison, TX from 1949 until he was drafted at age 24 and served in the Army from 1956 – 1958. He was the 100, 000 Texas draftee since the onset of the Korean Conflict. An article about the “Celebrity Draftee” was published in the Sherman Democrat on July 3, 1956 prior to his induction on July 4, 1956. He retired from Merchants Freight lines in 1994.
We wish to express our thanks and appreciation to the Staff at Clyde W. Cosper Veterans Home for their kindness and care given to Edward. A special thanks from all of us to his cousin, Victor Popplewell for his concern, phone calls and visits to Edward, and we express our appreciation to JoAnn and American Hospice Group.

Boyd Carnley
A memorial service for Boyd H. Carnley will be held on Monday, December 29, 11:00 am in the Dannel Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Gary Vogel of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church will officiate. A reception will be held after the service. Mr. Carnley born in Graham, Texas, the son of Albert R. Carnley and Stella (Reedy) Carnley. He attended Graham schools. Boyd enlisted in the Army in 1962, serving three years. Boyd earned his B.S. from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He worked at Texas Instruments for the next 30 years, first at the Dallas plant and then transferred to Sherman, Texas. After his retirement, he had his own consulting business. He and his wife retired to Lake Kiowa in 2001. Boyd was active in the LKMGA and Lake Kiowa Chapel. He enjoyed playing golf as often as possible. Taking the grandsons fishing was something he always looked forward to. Being with his family was his pride and joy.
On July 27, 1962 he death by his parents, and two sisters, Mary Holcomb and Martha Burnet. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County, PO Box 1352, Gainesville, Texas 76341-1352. The family extends a special thanks to Debbie Perry and the staff at Home Hospice and to his brother-in-law and sister -in-law, Butch and Kerlene Ross for their dedicated and never ending care.
Loraine "Lory" Thompson
Services for Loraine (Lory) Marie Thompson, 47, of Denison will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 10:00AM at Dannel Funeral Home. Cemetery in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Pastor Leland Samuelson of Sherman House of Praise and Rev. James Keaton of Trinity Lighthouse Church will officiate. Lory born on October 30, 1961 in Tokyo, Japan the daughter of Willis and Ann Howard Ontjes. She graduated high school in 1979 in Sulphur, Oklahoma.
On May 15, 1988 she death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Allen and daughter Amy Thompson of the home; step son Matt Thompson of Denison; step daughter Sherah Robinson and husband Ty of Flower Mound, TX; granddaughter Chancey Thompson of Princeton, TX, grandsons Chaste Thompson of Princeton, TX and Quinn Robinson of Flower Mound, TX; brother Bert Ontjes of Waxahachie, TX; sisters Linda Chasten of Tulsa, OK, Lisa Langer of Baxter Springs, Kansas and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Paul Boren, Kevin Petty, Sean Franks, Jason Kallas, Jason McNutt and Steve Bickerstaff.
Through the years Lory was a beloved Sunday school teacher of many. She was an extremely devoted wife and mother who dedicated everything to her family. Her laughter and fun loving attitude will be missed by all who knew her.
The family received visitors on Tuesday, April 07, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dannel Funeral Home.
Molly J. Revels
Molly J. Thomas McDonald Revels born December 13, 1929 in Whitesboro, Texas. She grew up with her brother, grandmother, and mother, Evelyn S. Thomas, a 5th grade teacher who taught most of the children in Whitesboro. That led to many friends and childhood adventures with her brother. A good conversationalist, Molly was known for recounting an intriguing tale.
When she was 16, she met John “Scott” McDonald, a Dorchester boy with a degree from Austin College who was going places. He was so handsome; she passed away in 1977. She also participated in garden and other social clubs and became a life member of the sisterhood of P.E.O.
After a period of time, Molly met another handsome man, John “Clifton” Revels. They soon were Cemetery. A second Service will take place at the Dannel Funeral Home, 302 S. Walnut Street, Sherman, Texas on Wednesday, March 25, 2009; Visitation from 1 PM to 2 PM with Services following, to allow her hometown family to join in bringing a Texas Star home.
