Alene Pate
Mary Alene Pate, 68-year-old Sherman resident, born February 24, 1941, in Durant, OK, to Albert and Mildred Hesson Lauderdale. She was educated in the public schools of Bennington, OK, Wilson N. Jones Nursing School, Paris Junior College and Grayson County College. She death by her parents, Alene is survived by her husband Paul; three sisters: Joanie Post and husband Bill of Hastings, OK, Deborah Williams and husband David of Denison, and Judy Smyers and husband Jerry of Rockwall; brother-in-laws, Richard Pate of Sherman and Gordon Pate of Georgetown; nephews Josh and Blake Williams of Denison and Tim Post of Hastings, OK, Jeremy and Jarod Smyers of Rockwall; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; goddaughter Sarah Marar of Knoxville, TN and a host of children who grew up in their home, Lindsey and Garrett, Kevin, Debbie, Karen, Bobby and Woody, Ellen, etc., and the list goes on.
Lawrence A. Morse
Lawrence Andrew Morse, 87, of Sherman, Interment will follow at West Hill born December 26, 1921, in Danville, Arkansas, to Thomas and Dora Mae Tabor Morse. He attended public schools in both Sherman and Floydada, but had to drop out in order to work and earn money to help feed the family. He served in the US Army Air Corps from 1942-45, earning the rank of Sergeant and receiving 15 battle stars. He was in the paratroopers and also served as a medic. After the war he worked at the VA Hospital in McKinney and then transferred to the Bonham VA Center, where he worked until 1982.
He death in 2005.
Mr. Morse had a special relationship with Brother Leon Martin, who ministered to him for many years and baptized him 7 years ago. He was devoted to his family, and knew the value of hard work. He was a compassionate and thoughtful person but never showed his emotions.
Mr. Morse was preceded in passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Holloway born February 10, 1935, in Liberal, KS to Paul and Irene Brooks Grimsley. She graduated from Satanta High School in Kansas. On July 4, 1953 she death by her parents; a son, Phillip Davis; a sister Bobbie Sharp; and two brothers, Carlos and Willis Duane Grimsley. She is survived by her husband Glenn; daughter Glenda and Larry Watson of Luella; son Jim Davis and wife Becky of Richmond, VA; 5 grandchildren James Watson, Jeffrey Davis, Claire Davis, Emily Davis, Katie Holste and husband Jon all of richmond and 2 great-grandchildren.

Bulah Lee Gann
Bulah Lee Gann, 79, Cemetery with Rev. Houston Garner officiating. The family will receive visitors at Dannel Funeral Home Monday evening from 6-8 p.m.
Bulah was married O.A. Gann on May 1, 1945 in Sherman. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.
Bulah was preceded in died on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Services for Mrs. Graber will be held Monday, January 12 at 10 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, Sherman, TX with Dr. Jim Pledger of the church officiating, assisted by Dr. Thomas Peel. There will be a reception at the church following the services. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Julia was married Vernon Graber on November 15, 1941, and they enjoyed more than 40 years of marriage before his death by her parents, husband, and sister, Mary Winifred Barker. Survivors include her son, Samuel Graber and wife, Jeanie, of Denison, daughter, Sue Ann Keating and husband, John N. Keating, III of Sherman; brother, John Patrick Baker of Arlington, VA and sister, Virginia Burns of Arlington, VA; grandchildren, Cameron Graber and wife, Julie of Austin, Courtney Graber and fiancée, Jeffrey Trucksess of Austin, Clay Stewart and wife, Teresa of Graham, Claire Bray and husband, Brian of Nacogdoches, Lance Keating and wife, Steffanye of Garland, and Blake Keating and wife, Stephanie of Abilene; 11 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Patricia Wilkinson and husband, Lyman of Columbus, Nebraska.

Ronald M. Zelaya
Ronald M. Zelaya, 65, of Sherman, born and passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010, at Texas Health Presbyterian - WNJ. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. The family will be at Dannel Funeral Home on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 pm.
Jean was married Terry Hammond in Milwaukee on February 1, 1961. Jean supported her husband during his service to our country while in the Navy and the Coast Guard. The couple moved to Denison in 1996. She was employed by PHNS for several years.
Jean was preceded in passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Carrus Specialty Hospital will be held on Saturday July 31, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Sherman Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Mack Rogers officiating. The family will be at the church at 1:30 pm. Services are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Proceeded in Interment will be on Monday, July 12, 2010 at Mission Park, San Antonio, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Mr. Howsman was passed away in Sherman, TX on Friday, July 2, 2010, at his residence. His parents were Roger Howsman and Doris Burns Howsman. He served in the US Air force for 22 years and retired as Chief Master Sergeant. He was also in home sales management and moved from Farmersville, Texas to Sherman in 2002.
Surviving are his wife, Billie, of Sherman; three sons and their wives: Tony Howsman, Tom and Susan Howsman, Tim and Nance Howsman; one stepson, Monty Pinson; and five grandchildren, Stephanie, Jayme, Travis, Jenni, and Brandy; and sister JoAnn Hudson of Celebration, Florida.
