Dallas R. Kremer loved the outdoors, and he was on his way to go fishing Saturday when he died.

"He always said he wanted to go with either a shotgun or a fishing rod in his hand, and he did, " said Mr. Kremer's nephew, Fred Brocker.

Mr. Kremer, the former operator of Bellevue Motors Body Shop, was stricken on a farm he owned near Brooksville. He was 76, and a resident of Bellevue.

In one race, Mr. Kremer was in third place when the two boats ahead of him collided. "He stopped and pulled one of the drivers out of the water, " Mrs. Kremer said.

A veteran of World War II, Mr. Kremer was a member of the Kersten O'Day Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Dayton.
