Teresa Golden, financial planner
Teresa L. Golden of Taylor Mill enjoyed helping people with their financial planning until cancer prevented her from continuing her work.
Ms. Golden, 39, a PNC Bank investments and securities employee, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit in Covington.
Five years ago, Ms. Golden was diagnosed with breast cancer.
"She was very busy and very career-oriented, " said her mother, Shirlee Webber of Taylor Mill. "She was very good at her job. She was a people person who liked to help people plan their estates and investments."
Ms. Golden is originally from Goshen, Ohio.
A brother, Don Golden, is a missionary who is helping establish churches in Russia. He named one of his twin daughters after her.
Other survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Jo Durham of Lexington, who is attending the University of Kentucky; her stepfather, David Webber of Taylor Mill; her father and stepmother, Harold and Sue Golden of Goshen, Ohio; a sister, Jerri Hicks of Hamilton, Ohio; and a brother, Harold Golden Jr. of Maineville, Ohio.

Gene T. Curtis, 69, of Augusta, died at 3:23 p.m. Monday at Columbia Hospital, Maysville. He was a retired maintenance man with Clopay Corp., Augusta. His wife, Elizabeth "Pat" Bogue Curtis, died in 1959.
Survivors include daughters, Rebecca Lee Edie of Augusta, Julia Kay Blevins of Falmouth and Penny Jane Ruf of Foster; brothers, Robert Curtis and Adrian Curtis, both of Augusta; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Augusta. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Cecelia Emma Wagner Gosney, 84, of Alexandria, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a retired cook from Alexandria Elementary School, Maple Lawn Restaurant, Alexandria, and Spare Time Restaurant, Alexandria. She was a member of the Kings and Queens of Alexandria. Her husband, Emery Gosney, died in 1944.
Survivors include sons, Donald Emery Gosney and Douglas Gosney, both of Alexandria, and Marion Gosney of Cold Spring; brothers, Hubert Wagner of Southgate and Joseph Wagner of Alexandria; a sister, Kathryn Shockley of Indianapolis, Ind.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Visitation will be there from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery.
Lottie Mae Hale, of Covington, died at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeside Place Nursing Home, Cold Spring. Arrangements are pending at Connley Bros. Funeral Home, Latonia.
Roy Hayes, 63, of Morning View, died at 4:55 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a retired truck driver with Signal Delivery Service and a member of Teamsters Local No. 100, Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Dixie Shoemake Hayes; daughters, Jennie Lynn Barnett of Independence, Julie Ann Pope and Janet Leigh Hayes, both of Erlanger; a stepdaughter, Donna Gant of Mowrystown, Ohio; stepsons, Daniel Alexander of the state of California and David Alexander of Delaware; a brother, Robert Hayes of Port Orange, Fla.; sisters, Josephine Vastine of Whites Tower, Margie Beard of Dry Ridge and June Shoemake of Morning View; five grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.

Ray Holt, 28, of Independence, died Sunday at University Hospi tal, Cincinnati. He was an employee of Coaxial Communications, Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya Holt; sons, Steven Ray Holt, at home, and Justin Holt of Richwood ; a daughter, Kayla Sharay Holt, at home; his parents, John and Linda Arnett Holt of Independence; brothers, John Holt Jr., Billy Holt and Pete Holt, all of Independence; a sister, Jamie Holt of Independence; and grandparents, Mabel Arnett of Independence, and James and Betty Holt of Independence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Church of Christ, Burlington. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Holt Cemetery, Independence.
Julia Malapelli, 95, of Latonia, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday at her home. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Raymond Malapelli, died in 1971.
Survivors include daughters, Laura Chadderton of Latonia and Audrey Arrasmith of Covington; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Church, Latonia. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia. Mildred A. Mason, 98, of Cincinnati, formerly of Latonia, died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday at River View Nursing Home in Cincinnati.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ, Latonia.
She was a member of the church Postmarks, Women's Guild and Senior Society groups.
Her husband, George Mason Sr., died in 1963. A daughter, Nora Foust, died in 1991.
Survivors include a son, George Bud Mason Jr. of Rio Rancho, N.M.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Connley Bros. Funeral Home, Latonia.
Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Bernice Banicki Miller, 87, of Villa Hills, died Monday at her home. She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Ivan R. Miller, died in 1977.
Survivors include a son, Robert I. Miller of Villa Hills; a sister, Lillian Banicki of Calumet City, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Marcella West Minshew, 79, of Lexington, died Tuesday at Columbia Hospital, Lexington.
She was a retired bookkeeper with Southwestern Tobacco Co. and a member of Chevy Chase Baptist Church, Lexington.
Survivors include a niece, Mildred Buchanan Boyd of Danville.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at W. R. Milward Mortuary-Southland. Visitation will begin there at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Elizaville Cemetery. Charles Milton Moore Jr., 74, of Florence, died at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired electronic technician with the U.S. Postal Service, and a member of American Postal Workers Union of Greater Cincinnati. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
His wife, Louise L. Moore, died in 1986. A son, Robert Moore, died Sept. 6.
Survivors include daughters, Laura McQuerry of Florence and Anita Snodgrass of Erlanger; sons, Mike Moore of Virginia Beach, Va., Albert Moore of Glencoe, Richard Moore of Elsmere and Steve Moore of Florence; a sister, Betty Roosa of Cincinnati; a brother, Vernon Moore of Dallas; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Aileen Sharon Johnson Thomas, 86, of Maysville, died Tuesday at her home.
She was a retired St. Joseph Hospital employee and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Cynthiana.
She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Tollesboro Homemakers.
Survivors include a son, Jun Kearns of Independence; daughters, Ramona Lou Rich of Tuscon, Ariz., and Yvonne Ann Simms of Tollesboro; brothers, Albert Lee Johnson of Cynthiana, Emery Johnson of Florida and Jesse Gaines Johnson of Millersburg; sisters, Thelma Goodin of Lexington, Dorothy McNash of Deland, Fla., Lillian LaFrana of Frankfort and Ruby Isrig of Paris; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
