Beaumont, TX -- Friday, 3 Feb 1995

Lucile C. Alford, 86, of Silsbee died Wednesday at Silsbee Doctors Hospital.

Funeral will be at 2 p. m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Kountze with burial at Old Hardin cemetery under the direction of Broussard's Mortuary in Kountze.

A native of Palacios, she lived in Honey Island more than 28 years before moving to Silsbee a year ago and was a retired registered nurse.

Survivors include sons, Charles F. Alford of Kountze and James C. Alford of Silsbee; brothers Elliott Alford of Humble, George W. Curtis of Kerrville, Robert P. Curtis of Douglass and Leroy Curtis of Waycross, GA.; and two grandchildren.

TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH
Tyler, TX -- Mon., 22 Feb 1999

ELKHART -- Services for Ronald K. "Ron" Alford, 67, Elkhart, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home chapel, Palestine.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery.

Mr. Alford died Feb. 20 in a Tyler hospital.

He was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Slocum to the late Ed and Agnes Moore Alford.

He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and worked 30 years for the Houston Chronicle before retiring to Elkhart in 1978.

He worked as a handyman before going to work in maintenance at Texas Department of Criminal Justice at Coffield Unit and then Beto II.

He was a volunteer for Anderson County Sheriff's Department and a volunteer bailiff for Anderson County Courthouse.

He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Redtown, Disabled American Veterans, Elkhart Masonic Lodge, South Anderson County Medical Board of Elkhart, and helped form the Chamber of Commerce in Elkhart.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Alford, Elkhart; sons James "Mike" Alford, Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Michele Westmoreland, Crockett; borthers, John Alford and Eddie Alford, both of Houston; special friends, Calvin "Okie" and Margaret "Geat" Bell, Rose, Okla. and Buddy Blonts, Crockett; 3 grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Jim Bob Parker, Marion Hortman, Vernon Collins, W.T. Grigsby, Eugene Grigsby and James Coffman.

Honorary pallbearers are Men's Sunday School Class of Tabernacle Baptist Church....

ROY THOMAS ALFORD

ABILENE REPORTER-NEWS
Abilene, TX -- 22 July 1998

Roy T. Alford, 68, died Tuesday in a local hospital.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange.

Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Alford was born in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School in 1948. He served with the U.S. Air Force.

He worked for Lowe's Automotive for several years and as a greeter at Wal-Mart from 1988-97.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include one sister, Betty Fowlkes of Abilene; two nephews; and two great-nephews and one great-niece.

RUSSELL ALFORD

WHITE OAK INDEPENDENT
White Oak, TX -- 18 February 1999

Funeral services for Russell Alford of White Oak were held Tuesday. Feb. 16 at Welch Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial was in White Oak Cemetery.

Mr. Alford died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999 in a local hospital.

He was 77. He was a chemical analyst for ARCO.

Survivors include his wife, Madelyn Alford of White Oak; two sons and daughter-in-law, David Alford of Henderson and Ray and Kaye Alford of Garland; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jerry Holland of White Oak; one sister, Etta Hill of White Oak; several grandchildren, Cameron and Sarah Alford, Hayden Alford and Susan Alford all of Garland, Tammy and Steven Denfeld of Hallsville, Becky Holland of White Oak, and Jody Holland of Spring Hill; great grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Denfeld, Laura Jean Denfeld, Catie Lynn Denfeld, Steven Austin Denfeld, all of Hallsville, Brooklynn Nicole Holland of White Oak, Jordan Randle Holland of Spring Hill, and Kaylee Jane Alford of Garland.

Services for Samuel Mathew Alford, 92, of Rt. 1 in Gilmer will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Welch Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Alford died Friday at a Tyler hospital. A lifelong resident of East Texas, he was a [illegible] member of the
Clarksville Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sons, Russell of White Oak and Hilton of Gilmer; three daughters, Mrs. Grace Fenton of
Kountze, Mrs. Gladys Willtrout and Mrs. Etta Hill, both of White Oak; a brother, Marvin of Gilmer; a sister, Mrs. Annie Jones of Kilgore; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
