T. Odell Alford, 86, died June 17, 1993 at his Houston home.
He is survived by wife, Vera Sue Alford; son, Jack Rhodes; daughter, Shirley Pacetti; sister, Mae Barnhart; granddaughter, Rebecca Ponton; grandson, Tommy Rhodes; great grandchildren, Amanda and Jed Merritt; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend graveside funeral services Friday (today) at 10:00 a.m. in Hollywood Cemetery.
Contributions to Woodhaven Baptist Church for the Deaf, have been suggested by the family.

NEW BOSTON, Texas -- Thelma Baker Alford, 80, of New Boston died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Alford was born Dec. 30, 1918, in Greenville, Texas.
She was retired from Bowie County Tax Office and a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Alford, and a son, Rea "Buddy" Alford.
Survivors include one son, Oma Mell Alford of Texarkana; four daughters, Lea Etta Srygley of Atlanta, Texas, Ina Nell Graham of Houston, Ada Dell Ferguson of Austin and Kea Ella Waldon of New Boston; one sister, Ima Nell Kirsch of Dallas; two brothers, George M. Baker of Kemp, Texas, and Francis Baker of Texarkana; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Ken Cox and Frank Boutwell officiating.
Burial will be in Read Hill cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.

Vera Sue Jackson Alford, born August 8, 1905 in Jennings, Louisiana, died May 12, 1998 in Houston, at the age of 92 years.
Mrs. Alford's father served in the military in the Spanish-American War and her mother was one of the last living widows from that war.
Mrs. Alford spent many years as an employee of the Houston Press as a "Miss Classified."
She continued working after the Press was closed as a collections clerk and day care worker.
Her loving family includes, her son, Jack J. Rhodes; daughter, Shirley A. Pacetti; granddaughter, Rebecca S. Pacetti; grandson, Tommy J. Rhodes; great-granddaughter, Amanda C. Merritt; and great-grandson, Jake Merritt.
A Memorial Celebration of the Funeral Liturgy in her honor will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 1998, at St. Dominic Center-Deaf Chapel, 2401 E. Holcombe Blvd.

Allred - at Spring City, Sanpete County, Aug 1, 1890 Patriarch William Hackley Allred.
He was born Apr 14, 1804 in Franklin County, Georgia and was the son of James and Elizabeth Allred.
He embraced the Gospel in 1832, in Monroe County Missouri, on Salt River.
He lived and died a faithful Latter-day Saint.

Requiem mass Monday 9 a.m. St. Augustine Church in Waikiki, procession leaves the mortuary at 8:30.
Interment in Diamond Head Cemetery.
Surviving are the widow Mary Gomes Hoke, a son Alexander Hoke; 4 daughters; Mrs. Eleanor Fernandes, Mrs. Edna Wong, and the Misses Ruby and Josephine Hoke and 4 grandchilren.
The decseased was employed as a clerk at the Liberty House for the past 17 years.
