CeDora M. Deters of Taylor Mill, devoted life to her family
CeDora M. Deters' children were successful, in no small measure because of her.
"Mother was one of our inspirations.
"She always encouraged us, and told us we could do whatever we set out to do, " said Mrs. Deters' son, Charles H. Deters of Walton, a prominent Northern Kentucky attorney and business leader.
Mrs. Deters, of Taylor Mill, died Saturday in St. Elizabeth Medical Center North Hospice Unit, Covington.
"My mother was the ultimate homemaker. She was great at decorating her home. She baked her own bread and she and my father sat down to three meals a day, " said Charles Deters.
In addition to five children, Mrs. Deters leaves 28 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. "She knew every one of them by name and bought them all Christmas presents, " said her son.
"Every year at Christmas she brought presents, always in red plastic bags. Each child received a book or something educational, a toy and an article of clothing."
Mrs. Deters' husband, C. B. "Bud" Deters, died in 1991.
Other survivors include sons, Gerald R. Deters of Richwood, and James H. Deters of Taylor Mill; daughters, Joan Maus of Minneapolis and Kathy Lonnemann of Independence; and a brother, Clem Braunstein of Cincinnati.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, Covington. Visitation will be from 4 to 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Deters family cemetery in southern Kenton County.

Latonia's Sandra Watson, loved wildlife
Sandra Sue Watson lacked the resources to travel far and wide to see wildlife, but that didn't stop her from enjoying watching birds and animals whenever she found the opportunity.-
Mrs. Watson, of Latonia, died Saturday morning in the Ft. Hamilton Hospital, Hamilton, Ohio.
She was a member of both the National Wildlife Federation and the International Wildlife Federation.
"She supported wildlife and animal charities, " said her son, Troy A. Watson of Latonia.
His mother gained knowledge during her childhood about different types of birds from her grandmother in rural Campbell County, her son said. "She liked to watch the birds and the squirrels, " Mrs. Watson's son said.
Mrs. Watson was an employee of Hopple Plastics, Florence. She attended the Taylor Mill Church of Christ.
Other survivors include her mother, Frances Fausz Kueven of Ft. Thomas; and a sister, Carol Schooler of Newport.
Cremation will be at Hillside Chapel, Cincinnati. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 1885 Dixie Highway, Suite 250, Ft. Wright, 41011. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, is handling arrangements.
Doris Hatter Beagle, 67, of Latonia, died at 1:27 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service, Covington. Her husband, Forrest Beagle, died in 1974.
Survivors include a son, Michael T. Beagle of Erlanger; a daughter, Karen Schultz of Erlanger; brothers, Jerry Hatter of Villa Hills, Garry Hatter of Ludlow and Larry Hatter of Erlanger; sisters, Sharlene French of Alexandria and Joann Powers of Ludlow; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
David Benzinger, 43, of Edgewood, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday at his brother's residence in Tulsa, Okla. He was a sheltered-workshop employee for New Perceptions, Edgewood. His father, Hank Benzinger, died in 1981, and his sister, Mary Lou Benzinger, died in 1992.
Survivors include his mother, Joan Benzinger-Schuler of Edgewood; his stepfather, Bill Schuler of Edgewood; and brothers, Don Benzinger of Ft. Wright, Jim Benzinger of Villa Hills and John Patrick "Pat" Benzinger of Tulsa, Okla.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agnes Church, Ft. Wright. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the church. Jewell Mann Brumagen, 91, of Roberston County, died Saturday at the Robertson County Health Care Facility, Mt. Olivet. She was a homemaker. Her husband, David Milton Brumagen, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, William Tom Brumagen of Robertson County and David M. Brumagen Jr. of Morehead; daughters, Barbara Dargavell of Roberston County, Roslyn Schultz of Loveland, Ohio, and Ella Webb of Fayette County; a brother, Robert Mann of Robertson County; sisters, Bessie Robinson of Robertson County and Alice Miller of Mt. Olivet; 23 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

James D. Clifton, 54, of Erlanger, died Wednesday at his residence. He was the owner of Gillespie's Towing Service, Erlanger, and was an auxiliary police officer for the city of Erlanger. His wife, Jo Ann Clifton, died in 1996.
Survivors include sons, Rob Clifton and Chad Clifton, both of Florence; a daughter, Kim Chalfant of Union; his mother, Dora Hill of Florence; brothers, Clarence Clifton of Erlanger and Plummer Clifton of Union; a sister, Alice Moore of Florence; and six grandchildren.

Wilma Hobday Crawford, 80, of Wilder, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Falmouth. Her husband, Albert Thomas Crawford, died in 1986.

Bob Gibson Sr., 45, of Sherman, died at 5:14 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence, after a long illness. He was a sauce room attendant at the S.S.E. Manufacturing Co., Florence.
He was a member of the Violet Ridge Church of Christ, Crittenden, and the Grant County County Recreation Board. He was also a Little League and Pony League baseball coach, and he coached girls' softball teams.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Wilson Gibson; sons, Billy Gibson, Robert A. Gibson Jr. and Brian Gibson, all of Sherman; a daughter, Danielle Gibson of Sherman; his mother, Claudie Taylor Gibson of Crittenden; sisters, Debbie Black of Latonia, Phyllis Colston and Zadah Edmonds, both of Covington, and Rita Gibson of Crittenden; brothers, Jerry Gibson, Richard Gibson and Ottis Gibson, all of Crittenden, Jackie Gibson of Milton, Fla., Mike Gibson of Sadieville, Alfred Gibson of Morning View and Raymond Gibson of Florence; and seven grandchildren.

Lawrence Charles Gillispie, 84, of Cynthiana, died Saturday at Edgemont Manor Nursing Home, Cynthiana. He was a retired Southern Railway em ployee and a member of the Hinton United Methodist Church. His wife, Elva Currans Gillispie, and a son, James Donald Gillispie, preceded him in death.

Gertrude Johnson Hall, 54, of Harrison County, died Saturday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Johnny Lewis Hall, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Hall, and daughters, Barbara Ann Hall and Janice Hall.

Jane Catherine Heist, 84, of Ft. Mitchell, died Friday. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Jay Elmer Heist, died in 1975.

She was a member of the Florence United Methodist Church and the Amalgamated Cotton Garment and Allied Industries Local 609. Her husband, Lewis E. Stephens, died in 1975.

Buford Jesse Summitt, 67, of Warsaw, died Saturday at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton. He was a retired farmer and he attended Worthville United Pentecostal Church, Worthville. His wife, Daisy Summitt, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a sister, Martha Garrett of Warsaw.

Mary Marguerite Wedderstrand, 97, formerly of Florence, died at 5:50 p.m. Saturday at the Warsaw Nursing Home, Warsaw. Her husband, Harry Wedderstrand, died in 1988, and a son, Robert Wedderstrand, died in 1992. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Burlington.
Survivors include a daughter, Jayne Rueter of Florence; five grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.
