Dorothy Brockman, Realtor of the Year
Dorothy Arnsparger "Dottie" Brockman promised herself that she would take relatives and friends on three trips during the last weeks of her life before she died.
She took her youngest grandchild to North Carolina, she took her daughter and sister to Las Vegas, and she made a special trip to Panama Beach, Fla., where she and her husband had spent winters.
"She had three last wishes, and she fulfilled them with her loved ones, " said Mrs. Brockman's daughter, Diana Mullins of Taylor Mill.
Mrs. Brockman, 62, of Perry Park, died Wednesday at her home.
She was a retired realtor and broker for ASK Realty Co. in Northern Kentucky.
Mrs. Brockman was a former secretary-treasurer of the Kenton Boone Realtors Board and was honored as 1988 Realtor of the Year.
She was a past matron of the Covington Daylight Chapter 375 of Eastern Star.
"She enjoyed her work as a realtor because she liked helping people and getting to meet new people, " said Mrs. Mullins.
Mrs. Brockman enjoyed needlepoint, crochet and crafts projects. She also loved to play cards and other games.
"I especially remember staying up late on Christmas Eve and playing games with her, " said Mrs. Mullins.
Other survivors include her husband, Bill L. Brockman; a son, Cy Thomas Brockman of West Memphis, Ark.; a daughter, Dolores Dempsey of Owenton, Ky.; two brothers, Ralph Oak Arnsparger of Erlanger and Rev. Roger Keith Arnsparger of Arden, N.C.; a sister, Myrna Lane of Covington; five grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Allison & Rose Funeral Home in Taylor Mill.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill.

Catherwood "Carl" Beckett, 88, of Carlisle, formerly of Harrison County, died Wednesday at Johnson Mathers Nursing Home, Carlisle. He was a retired electronics specialist, a member of Unity Christian Church and Thomas Ware Masonic Lodge No. 340 and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Watson Beckett; sons, Robert W. Beckett of Winter Park, Fla., James T. Beckett of Las Vegas and Bill R. Beckett of Canal Winchester, Ohio; a daughter, Barbara L. Cover of Lady Lake, Fla.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, P.O. Box 779, Minneapolis, Minn. 55440.
Drenan Cassidy, 84, of Florence, died Wednesday at Florence Park Care Center. He was a retired electrician with Blue Grass Provision Co., and a former employee of B&O; Railroad and Whayne Supply Co. in Louisville, and a member of Walton-Verona Lodge No. 719. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Gray Cassidy; a son, Robert Cassidy of Nicholasville; a daughter, Patricia Cassidy of Cincinnati; a brother, Douglas Cassidy of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Mr. Cassidy bequeathed his body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Medical Center Foundation, 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, Ky. 41017. Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington, is handling arrangements.
Anna Mae Herby, 92, of Fort Thomas, died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Highland United Methodist Church, Fort Thomas. Her husband, Clinton F. Herby, died in 1998.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Herby of Junction City, Kan., and a son, John Herby of Fort Thomas.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will begin there at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
Lili Kelly, 5, of Burlington, died Wednesday in an automobile accident in I-71 in Carrollton. She was a kindergartener at Zion Christian Academy, Florence.
Survivors include her parents, Pat Kelly of Burlington and Tonya Marie Pelston of Carrollton; grandparents, Wesley and Deborah Hale of Sanders, Joan Kelly of Perry Park, Raymond and Laura Pelston of Carrollton and Donna Braniff of Fort Myers, Fla.; and great-grandparents, Cora Keel of Covington and Rebecca Pelston of Carrollton.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. David W. "Coca Cola Dave" Krebs, 54, of Covington, died Wednesday at his home. He was a production worker with the Coca Cola Bottling Co., Cincinnati, and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Krebs; a stepson, Christopher Foster of Bellevue; a sister, Nadine Davis of Covington; and a brother, Linville Krebs of Alexandria.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at A.C. Dobbling and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. James J. Manning, 64, of Covington, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday at his home. He was a retired shipping clerk with Crescent Paper Tube Co. in Florence, a member of St. John Church in Covington, and an Army veteran. He was a server and an usher with St. John Church, and was an active fund-raiser for Prince of Peace School in Covington. He was a former boys basketball coach with St. John School.
Survivors include a son, Dean Gregory Manning of London; a daughter, Carla Manning of Covington; a brother, David T. Manning of Covington; and sisters, Jean Wissel of Cincinnati and Marge Hill of Florence.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Church, Covington. Committal services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary cemetery Chapel, Fort Mitchell. Diane Lynn LeMarbe Mills, 58, of Corbin, died Wednesday at her home.
Survivors include sons, Michael Lee LeMarbe and Marc Anthony LeMarbe, both of Covington, Steven Martinez Delacruz of Gray and Robert Allen LeMarbe of Corbin; a daughter, Amy LeMarbe Lane of Corbin; a sister, Sharon Holbrook of Lansing, Mich.; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family. Hart Funeral Home, Corbin, is handling arrangements.
Phronia Rose Moore, 79, of Silver Grove, died at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Robert V. Moore Sr., died in 1983.
Survivors include a son, Robert Moore Jr. of Highland Heights; daughters, Elizabeth Poe of Highland Heights, Kathleen Harter of Sheldon, S.C., and Janie Barns of Silver Grove; a sister, Van Couch of Mount Orab, Ohio; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will begin there at noon Monday.
Entombment will be in Alexandria Mausoleum.
Roberta Coughlin Quigley, 86, of Lexington, died Tuesday at Pimlico Manor, Lexington. She was owner of Roberta's Antiques and a member of St. Augustine Church, Augusta. There are no immediate survivors.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Church, Brooksville. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Augusta.
Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Brooksville.
Paul Edward Scheele, 85, of Newport, died Wednesday at his home. He was a retired metal buffer and polisher, and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Thyra L. Scheele; a daughter, Sandra Groneck of Alexandria; and two granddaughters.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

Flora M. West, 93, of Cincinnati, formerly of Northern Kentucky, died Wednesday at Eastgate Health Care Center, Cincinnati. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Bernard B. West, died in 1988.
Survivors include sons, Harlan West of Fort Wayne, Ind., Francis D. West of Sunman, Ind., and Gwyndol West of Florence; daughters, Thelma Duncan of E Grand Rapids, Mich., Gladys Royal of Cincinnati, Anna Durham of Manchester, Ohio, and Mary Bromagen of Lexington; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jones and Sons Funeral Home, Oneida, Tenn. Visitation will begin there at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Cecil Cemetery, Oneida. Stith Funeral Home, Florence, is handling arrangements.
