Ella Wormald, enjoyed happy life in Bellevue
Ella Louise Wormald was a Bellevue woman through and through.
She reared her family, went to church and socialized in the city that she loved to call home.
"Bellevue was her whole life, " said Mrs. Wormald's son, Norbert Wormald of neighboring Dayton.
Mrs. Wormald, 85, of Bellevue, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East.
She was a member of the Altar Society at St. Anthony Church, the Bellevue Self Help Group, Bellevue-Dayton Seniors and the American Association of Retired Persons in Bellevue and Dayton.
"She was family-oriented, " said Norbert Wormald. "She was part of a very close-knit family and spent much of her time taking care of her children and helping other relatives.
"She went through the Depression and some rough times. That's probably why home and family and making sure meals were on the table were very important to her."
Mrs. Wormald enjoyed playing bingo.
Her husband, George W. Wormald, died in 1996.
Other survivors include daughters, Carol Foster of Bellevue and Barbara Holliday of Florence; a son, George Wormald of Indianapolis; and two brothers, Bill O'Hara and Raymond O'Hara, both of Bellevue.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Divine Mercy Church in Bellevue.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dobbling Funeral Home in Bellevue.
Burial will be at St. Stephen cemetery in Fort Thomas.

William P. Blackburn, 71, of Erlanger, died Friday at his home.
He was a truck driver and an Army veteran. His wife, Betty Blackburn, died in 1990.
Survivors include a son, Bill Blackburn Jr.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Visitation begins there at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.
David Craven, 58, of Madisonville, Tenn., formerly of Ludlow, died Sunday at Sweetwater, Tenn., Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Ludlow.
Faye Cyrus, 60, of Warsaw, died Friday at Gallatin County Schools bus lot, Warsaw.
She was a bus driver with Gallatin County Schools and an emergency medical technician and former volunteer with the Gallatin County Life Squad. Her husband, Buddy Cyrus, died in 1993. A son, Kenny Allen Jackson, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Teressa Bayless of Cincinnati; her mother, Mary Louise Moore of Maysville; sisters, Dottie Reynolds of Waverly, Tenn., and Anna Joyce Bouley of Sanford, Fla.; a brother, Charles Ray Moore of Ripley, Ohio; and a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery.

Marshall Kenneth "Doc" Hill, 76, of Georgetown, formerly of Harrison County, died Saturday at his home.
He was an engineer and tool and die maker, a deacon of Cane Run Baptist Church in Georgetown, and a former member of Cynthiana Kiwanis Club and Jaycees. He was a former assistant police chief with the city of Cynthiana, a former teacher with Central Kentucky VoTech and co-owner of Qualax Manufacturing Co. He was a former scout with the Cincinnati Reds. His wife, Geneva England Hill, and a son, Marty Evans Hill, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Terry Kent of Georgetown; a daughter, Lori Susan of Georgetown; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Georgetown Baptist Church, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

James Gerald "Jad" Linville, 31, of Augusta, died Saturday on Dutch Ridge Road in Bracken County.
He worked with Dave Nickerson Construction Co., Augusta, and had worked for Schnabel Foundation Co. He was a member of St. Augustine Church in Augusta, Construction Workers Union Local No. 265, and Bracken County Fish and Game Association.
Survivors include his wife, Angie Stitt Linville; his parents, Jimmy Dale and Ann Elizabeth Appelman Linville of Augusta; and sisters, Laura Robinson of Fort Thomas, Ellen Wira of Cincinnati and Molly Schultz of Toledo, Ohio.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Church, Augusta. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Augusta. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Germantown.

Nolan L. Myers, 66, of Sardis, died at 2:20 p.m. Saturday at University Hospital, Cincinnati.
He was a retired farmer and operator of Myers Grocery in Sardis, a former employee of Home Warehouse, and a member of Sardis Christian Church.
Survivors include cousins.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home, Mays Lick. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Shannon Cemetery, Mays Lick.
Louise Riickert, 79, of Sardis, died Saturday at her home.
Her husband, Taft Riickert, died in 1983.
Survivors include sons, Jerry Cooper of Taylor, S.C., Larry Cooper of Mount Olivet, Glenn Cooper and Ricky Cooper, both of Sardis; daughters, Sue Cooper of Dayton, Ohio, Helen Insko of Tollesboro, Dorathy Cooper of Sardis and Peggy Frame of Rectorville; a brother, Eugene Cooper of Mount Olivet; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Palmer Funeral Home, Mays Lick. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Goddard Cemetery, Fleming County.
Ann Katherine Smiser, 65, of Cynthiana, died Saturday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana. She was a retired teacher with the U.S. Defense Department, a member of Cynthiana Christian Church and its Margaret Howk Circle, and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Trials and Trowels Garden Club, and the Harrison County Garden Club.
She had no immediate survivors. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana.
