William Earl Lloyd, 65, loved his farm, family
William Earl Lloyd loved to work on his 70-acre farm and to watch his children and grandchildren play sports.
"He always had a garden; lots of corn, potatoes, tomatoes, " said his daughter, Lisa Thompson, of Alexandria. "He was a great father, very involved and loving."
Mr. Lloyd died Sunday afternoon at his Alexandria home. He was 65.
"He would always get his point across; he was very disciplined. He always had a sense of humor about him that made him unique. He could be serious and joking in the same sentence, " said a son, Larry Lloyd, of Alexandria.
Mr. Lloyd was an employee of Vivi Color Printing, Cincinnati, and a member of the Graphic Communications International Union, Catholic Order of Foresters and Go Mustangs group of Bishop Brossart High School. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring.
"He was an extremely hard worker and he instilled the same hard-work ethic in all of his children, " said Larry Lloyd.
He was a former member of the Army Reserve.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lloyd Klump Lloyd; two other sons, Joe Lloyd of Cold Spring and Mike Lloyd of Edgewood; a brother, Don Lloyd of California; and seven grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Prayers will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Alexandria.

Margaret Louise Agnew, 79, of Taylor Mill, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington.
Arrangements are pending at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia.
Mary M. Belew, 56, of Melbourne, died at 5:20 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Belew; sons, Brian Belew of Alexandria and Michael Belew of Melbourne; daughters, Krista Belew of Melbourne and Michele Belew of Amelia, Ohio; sisters, Charlene Christen and Annamae Linde, both of Cincinnati, Rosie Giar, Dolores Neises and Shirley Neises, all of Melbourne, and Carol Hartig of Cold Spring; brothers, Don Neises of Alexandria, Gene Neises and Larry Neises, both of California, and Ron Neises of Melbourne; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Philip Church, Melbourne. Alexandria Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
John E. Forman, 85, of Port Orange, Fla., formerly of Dayton, died July 8 at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Fla. He was a retired postal worker, a member of Bellevue Vets and AMVETS, and an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Elizabeth Fenker Forman, preceded him in death.
Survivors include sons, Christopher Forman of Ponce Inlet, Fla., John Forman of Greenwood, Ind., and Thomas Forman of California; a daughter, Mary Ann Forman of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Mary Louise Sievers of Lakeland, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. July 24 at St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas. Memorials are suggested to Bellevue Vets Youth Baseball, in care of Ray Bricking, 24 Fairfield Ave., Bellevue, Ky. 41073. National Cremation Society, South Daytona, Fla., is handling arrangements.
Harold Ray Gettys Jr., 69, of Alexandria, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a gas serviceman with Cincinnati Gas & Electric Co.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes J. Gettys; daughters, Sherrie Rae Jett and Sheila Strunk, both of Alexandria; a sister, Sandra Fausy of Alexandria; a brother, David Gettys of Alexandria; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Robert E. Hoh, 75, of Fort Thomas, died at 7:15 p.m. Friday at Northern Kentucky Care and Rehabilitation Center, Highland Heights. He was a retired self-employed master mechanic racing engine engineer with Harley Davidson in Milwaukee.
Survivors include a niece and a nephew.

Billie A. Williams Kepf, 81, of Erlanger, died Saturday at Village Care Center, Erlanger. A son, Dr. Michael E. DeWan, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Nicholas F. Kepf; a son, Nicholas C. Kepf; a daughter, Martha Z. DeWan; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home, Amelia, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Amelia.
Betty Mae Kruse, 69, of Norwood, Ohio, formerly of Newport, died Sunday at Norwood Retirement Community. She was a homemaker. Her husband, John Kruse, died in 1994. A daughter, Betty Marie Smith, died in 2000. A son, David Ray Kruse, died in 1965.
Survivors include sons, Charles Kruse of Columbus, Ohio, John Kruse of Ocala, Fla., Richard Kruse of Taylor Mill, William Kruse of Norwood, Ohio, and Joseph Kruse of Covington; daughters, Katherine Paynter and Debra Kruse, both of Newport, and Aloha Renee Hammonds of Pennsylvania; a sister, Darlene Vogel of Newport; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Nanette Osborne, 80, of Williamstown, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County, Williamstown.

James D. Paul, 41, of Indianapolis, died Saturday at his home. He was a driver with Coca Cola Bottling Co., Indianapolis, and a former employee of St. Vincent Hospital and Northside Cardiology, Indianapolis. He was a member of St. Monica Church, Indianapolis.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette M. Demma Paul; a daughter, Jennifer Rose Paul of Indianapolis; a son, James David Paul II of Indianapolis; his mother, Lila L. Rogg of Dayton; brothers, Michael S. Paul, Thomas J. Paul and John A. Paul; and grandmother, Dorothy L. Henchen Paul.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Monica Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Home, Indianapolis, with wake services at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.
Earl Rusche, 83, of Lakeside Park, died at 4 p.m. Saturday at his home. He was a retired lithographer with Pam-Mar Co., a member of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs and the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame, and was a Navy veteran of World War II. His wife, Mary Jane Havlin Rusche, died in 1986.
Survivors include daughters, Marlene Rusche of Covington and Pam Meyer of Edgewood; a half-sister, Genevieve Beach of Florence; and four grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, Crescent Springs. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Alice Marie Sebastian, 84, of Lexington, formerly of Boone County, died Saturday at Samaritan Hospital, Lexington. She was a former employee of GE Aircraft Engines in Cincinnati, a former member of San Run Baptist Church in Hebron and a founding member of Living Hope Fellowship, Lexington.
Survivors include her husband, William Henry Sebastian; daughters, Ruth A. Sebastian and Patricia A. Sebastian, both of Lexington, and Billie M. Sebastian of Frankfort; sisters, Dorothea Mae Marshall of Florence and Vivian Ruth Blaker of Hebron; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Milward Funeral Home, Lexington.

Marie Dorothy Staudenmaier, 79, of Fort Wright, died at 6 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker and a member of Lakeside Christian Church, Lakeside Park. Her husband, Howard Staudenmaier, died in 1986.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Jennings of Fort Wright; a son, David Eaton of Burlington; and a grandson.
