Beverly Bickel, 79, devoted to Highlands
The Fort Thomas schools have lost a woman who for years supported the cause with her hard work, her smile and her contributions to the Highlands High School Alumni Association.
Beverly Bickel, 79, of Fort Thomas, died at 5:52 p.m. Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas, of complications from a bleeding ulcer.
She was a retired treasurer of the Fort Thomas Independent Board of Education and editor of Over the Hilltopper, the alumni newsletter for the Highlands High grads who'd moved beyond the age of the school's Hilltopper school paper.
