Robert Hilgefort, 84, retired letter carrier
Robert W. "Rolls" Hilgefort, 84, of Erlanger, a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier for 34 years in Erlanger until his retirement in 1978, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.
He was a member of St. Henry Church in Elsmere and belonged to the church's Holy Name Society and Prime Time Seniors. He also was a Meals on Wheels volunteer.
Mr. Hilgefort was a Navy veteran of World War II and a former member of the American Legion in Covington.
"He enjoyed working as a mail man and had lots of friends throughout Erlanger as a result of his job, " said Mr. Hilgefort's brother, Harry Hilgefort of the Cincinnati suburb of Eastgate.
"He was very easy to get along with. He enjoyed life completely and had a great life."
Mr. Hilgefort was an avid golfer and tennis player.
"He was very competitive, " said his brother. "No matter what sport he was playing, he liked to win."
Mr. Hilgefort's nickname came from an eating habit.
"He loved to eat rolls, " said Harry Hilgefort. "He was always going into a bakery and getting rolls. He could eat a dozen rolls at one time. He loved rolls so much that it became his nickname."
Other survivors include Mr. Hilgefort's wife of 52 years, Lorraine M. Thiem Hilgefort; a daughter, Patti Hilgefort of Cincinnati; sons, Joe Hilgefort of Hebron and Jim Hilgefort of Fort Thomas; sisters, Marcella Holbrook of Erlanger and Marion Marqua of Covington, and five grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Henry Church, Elsmere.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger.
Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Erlanger.

Logan Thomas Frolo Baker, 4 months, son of William Travis Baker and Jennifer Rose Frolo-Baker of Florence, died at 5:44 p.m. Monday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati.
Other survivors include a brother, Nicholas William Baker, at home; a sister, Caroline Rose Baker, at home; and grandparents, William and Billie Baker, and Thomas and Kornelia Frolo.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mother of God Church, Covington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Jon Deitloff Funeral Home, Cincinnati.
Robert A. Barth, 82, of Fort Wright, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. He was a retired maintenance worker with Kiser Chemical Co. and an Army veteran.
Survivors include a son, Robert Barth of Charleston, W.Va.; a sister, Eva Mock of Prescott, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
No services are planned. Cremation was at Hillside Chapel, Cincinnati. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence, is handling arrangements.
Constance Jean Barton, 51, of Dry Ridge, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospital South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Luster Barton; sons Norman Ambrose of Cincinnati and Brian Ambrose of Dry Ridge; her father, Robert Hildebrand, of Covington; brothers, Bobby Hildebrand and James Hildebrand, both of Covington, Patrick Hildebrand, Michael Hildebrand and James Smith, all of Cincinnati, Tony Hildebrand of Amelia, Ohio, and Timothy Hildebrand of Columbus; a sister, Roberta Offenbacker of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.
No services are planned. Cremation will be at Southwest Ohio Crematory, Milford, Ohio. Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger, handled arrangements.
Gilbert Branom, 83, of Louisville, died Monday at his home. He was a retired farmer, a deacon at Park Ridge Baptist Church in Gallatin County and an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Mabel Branom, died in 1999.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Mullen of Louisville; a son, Larry Branom of Taylorsville, Ind.; sisters, Margaret B. Steele of Columbus, Ohio, and Katherine Branom of Butlerville, Ind.; a brother, Lewis Branom of New Liberty; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Park Ridge Baptist Church, Gallatin County. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home, Warsaw. Burial will be in Park Ridge Cemetery, Gallatin County.
Griffin E. "Skip" Fisk, 56, of Hamilton, Mont., formerly of Northern Kentucky, died Sunday in a helicopter accident in Marion County, Tenn. He was a commercial helicopter pilot with Rocky Mountain Helicopters and Carson Services Inc., a rancher and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Teri Fisk; children, C.J. Fisk, Shane Fisk and Katie Fisk, all of Hamilton; his mother, Meriam Fisk of Taylor Mill; sisters, Judith F. Schneider and Deborah F. Charelli, both of Taylor Mill; and a brother, Donald H. Fisk of Taylor Mill.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Francis Church, Hamilton. A reception will follow in the church parish center. Memorials are suggested to Skip Fisk Memorial Fund, Ravalli County Bank, P.O. Box 150, Hamilton, Mont. 59840. Daly-Leach Funeral Home, Hamilton, is handling arrangements.
Granville Hadden IV, 21, of Covington, died March 13 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a deliveryman with Garzelli's Pizza and Subs, Edgewood.
Survivors include his parents, Cheryl Hadden and Granville Hadden III of Covington; brothers, Joseph Hadden and Anthony Hadden, both of Covington; and grandfather, Granville Hadden II of Fort Wright.

Ronald Hartig, 37, of Berry, died Wednesday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana.

Louise Mary Koch, 101, of Akron, Ohio, formerly of Covington, died Wednesday at her home. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Norwood, Ohio, and a retired clothing manufacturing worker. She was also a volunteer with St. Elizabeth Medical Centers and St. Charles Care Center, Covington. Her husbands, Edward Steltenkamp and Robert Koch, both preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, June Consbruck of Monroeville, Pa.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Akron. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, Akron; 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the church; and from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary cemetery Chapel, Fort Mitchell. Lona Lee Lendsey, 85, of Florence, died at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a retired college and high school teacher and a member of Latonia Baptist Church. Hr husband, Bill Lendsey, preceded her in death.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Services will be at noon Friday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
Clarence Maines Jr., 76, of Alexandria, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a retired tool grinder with R.A. Jones Co. and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Latonia. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. His wife, Lorraine Maines, died in 1996.
Survivors include sons, Christopher Maines of Taylor Mill, Gary Maines of Alexandria and Stephen Maines of California; a daughter, Holly Williams of Falmouth; sisters, Mary Andrews of Dallas and Florence Sevier of Burnside; brothers, Charles Maines of Bellevue and Irvin Maines of Dayton; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Florence E. Pohlman, 86, of Ludlow, died Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Corbin.

Thelma M. Riehemann, 87, of Fort Wright, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington.

Pearline Gabbard Schweinzger, 79, of Highland Heights, died at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday at Northern Kentucky Care and Rehabilitation Center in Highland Heights. She was owner of the former Rivera Club and a member of Lawler-Hanlon VFW Post No. 5662 Ladies Auxiliary. Her husbands, William Gabbard and William Schweinzger; sons, William Gabbard Jr. and Larry Gabbard; and daughters, Deena Kilburn and Sally Ann Gabbard, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Robin Gabbard of Newport and Tom "Gabby" Gabbard of Park Hills; brothers, Bill Rawe of Fort Wright and Dan Rawe of Bellevue; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

William T. Stevenson, 80, of Alexandria, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
He was a retired technician with Procter & Gamble Heating and Air Conditioning, Cincinnati, a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Alexandria and a Navy veteran of World War II.
His wife, Eva Stevenson, died in 2001. A son, Phillip Stevenson, died in 1948.
Survivors include sons, Charlie Stevenson of Alexandria and Bill Stevenson of Newport; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.
Allen Trapp, 75, of Butler, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
He was a retired employee of Licking Valley Oil Co., Berry, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Trapp of Butler; sons, Daryl Trapp of Alexandria; stepsons, Gregg Thornton of Cincinnati and Donnie Wayne Thornton of Butler; daughters, Cheryl Trapp Perrin of Butler and Linda Baker of Alexandria; a brother, Marvin Trapp of Heldton, Okla.; sisters, Gloria Moore of Vanhorn, Texas, Pat Osbourne of Erlanger and Wilma Parker of Layton, Okla.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Jo Treller, 61, of Erlanger, died at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Ehlman of Cold Spring; a son, Walter Treller III of Park Hills; and seven grandchildren.

Margaret Louise Vice, 90, of Covington, died at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday at Florence Park Care Center. She was a retired cashier with Ben Schottenstein Department Store and a member of Rosebud Chapter No. 39, Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, James M. Vice, died in 1975.
Survivors include cousins.

Rosalee S. Wheeler, 89, of Florence, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.
She was a homemaker and a member of Alexandria United Methodist Church and Alexandria Chapter No. 337 Order of the Eastern Star.
Her husband, Robert Wheeler, died in 1992.
Survivors include a sister, Chesna Waldenmeyer of Florence; nieces and nephews.

Marian S. Whittle, of Covington, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington.
She was a switchboard operator with Federal Reserve Bank and a member of the Federal Reserve Retirees Group.
