Ralph 'Bobby' Beagle, loved his times outdoors
Ralph "Bobby" Beagle, 69, lived in Covington, but he loved to spend time at his home away from home in Corinth.
He and his wife, Geraldine, bought property by Corinth Lake in about 1980, and Mr. Beagle maintained a camp there.
"Every chance he got, he spent time down there, " his wife said.
Mr. Beagle, who died Sunday, liked to catch bluegill and crappie, and the lake had abundant fish. He had some catches mounted on his wall at home.
A nephew, Randall Marksberry of Williamstown, used to visit him at the camp, where they would play poker and fish.
"He was an all-around good man, " Marksberry said. "He loved his Miller Lite; he liked country music."
The Beagles, who would have been married
40 years in January, hosted fish fries and family reunions at the camp.
"He was a man of few words, but he was always there, " Marksberry said.
Mr. Beagle died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday at Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired blender with National Distillery in Cincinnati, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6095 in Latonia, Linden Social Club and Nie's Social Club. He also was a Navy veteran.
Other survivors include sisters, Kathleen Beagle of Taylor Mill, Barbara Clifton of Fort Mitchell, and Emily Wolfe and Mary Jane Ward, both of Taylor Mill.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

June Taylor Bourne, 80, of Owenton, died Sunday at New Horizons Medical Center, Owenton. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Cedar Baptist Church. Her husband, Estill Taylor, and sons Bobby Taylor and Larry Taylor, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Tony Taylor of Lexington; daughters, Linda Ring of Fairfield, Ohio, Donna Meale of West Chester, Ohio, Reggie Herrington and Melissa DeVore, both of Owenton; a brother, Marvin Toole of Carrollton; a sister, Lucille Cobb of Owenton; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Bernadine "Bernie" Mylor Brinkman, 60, of Verona, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was an administrative assistant at Big Bone Lick State Park in Walton and a member of All Saints Church in Walton.
Survivors include daughters, Kay Webster of Verona, Annie Nichols of Walton and Emma Obertate of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; a brother, Joe Mylor of Warsaw; sisters, Helen Louise Elmore of Worthville and Martha Jean Woodrow of Louisville; and four grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at All Saints Church, Walton. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Maysville.

Harold Ray Carrier, 83, of Highland Heights, died Monday at his home. He was a farmer and a member of Disabled American Veterans, Bellevue.
Survivors include a son, Harold Ray Carrier Jr. of Highland Heights; a daughter, Linda Carrier of Highland Heights; brothers, Bill Carrier of Cincinnati and Carl Carrier of Melbourne; a sister, Selma Burnett of Waynesburg; and a grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Valley Chapel Church, Silver Grove. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at the church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Grants Lick.

Margaret Clark, 83, of Covington, died Monday at Baptist Village Care Center, Erlanger.

Dionna Jocelyn Daniels, 6, of Newport, died Friday at Children's Hospital, Cincinnati, after being struck by a car.
She was a first-grader at A.D. Owens Elementary School.
Survivors include her parents, Kelly Robinson and Cameron Daniels of Newport; sisters, Nevaeh Robinson, Emma Daniels and Diondra Daniels, all of Newport; brothers, Ian Baldwin and Cameron Daniels Jr., both of Newport; and grandparents, Johnny and Jocelyn Williams of Covington, and Donald Daniels and Kim Powell of Newport.
Services will be at noon Wednesday at Robbins Street Christian Church, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Mary Smith Cemetery, Elsmere.

Sarah Jane Klefken Foltz, 84, of Independence, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
She was a retired bookkeeper at St. Charles Nursing Home, Covington, and a member of St. Cecilia Church, Independence, and the Benedictine Guild of Villa Madonna Academy.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Foltz; daughters, Teresa Theobold of Cincinnati, Sister Mary Jana, S.N.D., of Park Hills, Mary Cae Pesapane of Long Island, N.Y., and Rose Marie Burch of Falmouth; sisters, Henrietta Roetker of Fort Wright and Betty Ryan of Walton; and two grandchildren.

Betty Jean Foster, 73, of Southgate, died at 8:37 a.m. Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Spirit Church, Newport. She was also a member of the YMCA and Northern Kentucky Seniors Dance Group. Her husband, Edward Foster, died in 1991.
Survivors include daughters, Anna Foster and Connie Foster, both of Newport; a son, Edward Foster of Southgate; a brother, Earl Jackson of Boone County; and a sister, Rosella Griess of Dayton.

Virginia Huber, 89, of Covington, died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday at Woodspoint Nursing Home, Florence. She was a secretary with the C&O; Railroad and the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.
Survivors include cousins.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Erlanger. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn.

William S. Lizer, 77, of Lexington, formerly of Harrison County, died Sunday at University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington. He was a retired research technician at UK, a member of Cynthiana Christian Church and an Army veteran of World War II. His wives, Doris F. Lizer and Barbara English Lizer, both preceded him in death.
Survivors include sons, Garry Lizer of Harrison County, Monty Lizer of Nicholasville and Darren Lizer of Lexington; a stepson, Eddie English of Cynthiana; sisters, Louise Walters and Ruby Smith Bradley, both of Lexington, and Virginia Lucky of Cynthiana; eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana.
Charles "Mac" McGrath, 94, former Kentucky Post sports editor, died Sunday at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville. Mr. McGrath was born in Loveland, Ohio, and grew up in Norwood, Ohio. He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Ohio State University.
He met his wife, Ethlyn, when both were working at Cincinnati AM radio station WCKY - he as a writer for the news department and she as music librarian, said his stepson, Thomas Hale of Wilder.
Mr. McGrath then was hired as a reporter at The Kentucky Post and worked his way up to sports editor. He later moved to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he re-wrote wire stories for the Fort Lauderdale News. He retired in the late 1960s.
His wife died in 1993.
Survivors, in addition to his stepson, include a daughter, Patricia Hesse of Albuquerque; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at noon Thursday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

Donald Raymond McIntyre, 63, of Dayton, died Saturday at his home. He was a roofer with Jim Black Roofing Co., Silver Grove, and a past president of the Dayton Eagles. He was active in junior football and baseball, a Boy Scout leader and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Claudeen McIntyre; daughters, Sandy Lipscomb of Crittenden, Ann Berkemeier of Ludlow, Kelly Foster and Kimberly McIntyre, both of Dayton; sons, Todd McIntyre and Donald McIntyre, both of Dayton, Raymond McIntyre of Hawaii and Robert McIntyre of Cincinnati; stepsons, Steven Foster, Mark Foster and Jimmy Foster, all of Dayton; a stepdaughter, Tonya Foster of Dayton; sisters, Margaret McIntyre and Mary Schwarberg, both of Dayton; brothers, Robert McIntyre of Dayton, James McIntyre of Alexandria and Vernon McIntyre of Florence; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Obra Pfanstiel, 90, of Morning View, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a member of Wilmington Baptist Church, Demossville. A daughter, Wanda Gosney, preceded her in death.

Lela M. Plumley, 86, of Florence, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Alan Plumley, preceded her in death.

Broadus G. Roland, 78, of Ripley, Ohio, died Saturday at Brown County General Hospital, Georgetown, Ohio. He was an alcohol and drug abuse counselor, a foster parent and was involved with Alcoholics Anonymous. His wife, Frances Gertrude Northcutt Roland, and daughter, Deanna Roland, both preceded him in death.

Lillian Lay Powell Rouseof Frankfort, formerly of Walton, died Monday at her home.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Walton. Her first husband, Albert Powell, died in 1984. Her second husband, Asa Rouse, died in 1995.

Diane Marie Tewell, 50, of Edgewood, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
She was an elementary school teacher - most recently with R.C. Hinsdale in Edgewood - and a member of the Kentucky Education Association.

He was a self-employed security worker.

Hannah Elizabeth Breeden White, 73, of Dry Ridge, died Sunday at her home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Crittenden Christian Church. Her husband, William Cleo White, preceded her in death.

Wihebrink of Independence; her father, Henry Wilbur Ketron of Florence; a brother, Hank Ketron of Tennessee; a sister, Judy Carpenter of Florence; and four grandchildren.
