Thomas Egan, veteran, instrument mechanic
Thomas Egan, 82, of Latonia, a retired instrument mechanic at Emery Industries in Cincinnati who had 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, died Friday at St. Elizabeth South Hospital.
Mr. Egan was in the Army Air Force during World War II and stationed in Guam. He was a tailgunner on photo reconnaissance airplane flights.
He was a member of the American Legion, attended Holy Cross Church in Latonia and belonged to the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Egan's hobbies were hunting, fishing, bowling and carpentry.
After retiring from Emery Industries, Mr. Egan and his wife, Zelma, enjoyed traveling, including trips to Mexico and Florida. The couple also spent time relaxing at a cottage in Walton on Boone Lake.
"He always enjoyed talking to people, " said Mrs. Egan, who was married
to Mr. Egan for 61 years. "He was friendly, a good conversationalist and remembered everything.
"He also enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren."
Other survivors include two sons, Michael Egan of Latonia, and Thomas Egan of Jacksonville, Fla., and five daughters, Gwen Walters of Independence, Ky., Karen Bowman of Saltillo, Mexico, Pam Zumdick of Florence, Patty Fiore of Fort Wright, and Maria Smith of Lakeside Park.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. Tuesday at Swindler & Currin Funeral Home in Latonia.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Church in Latonia.

Mary E. Schulten Caddell, 80, of Taylor Mill, died Sunday at Deaconess Hospital, Cincinnati.
Arrangements are pending at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia.
Dorothy M. Carter, 71, of Dayton, died at 12:04 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired employee of R.L. Polk Co. and a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Newport.
Survivors include a daughter, Marlene Tuner of Taylor Mill; a son, James Capek of Cincinnati; a sister, Margaret Sumerel-Carpenter of Holland, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church, Newport. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Radel Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.
Laquita W. Dossett, 69, of Carrollton, died Friday at Jewish Hospital, Louisville. She was a homemaker and a member of Carrollton First Baptist Church and Carrollton Homemakers Club.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Dossett; sons, Mike Dossett of Paris, Tenn., and Russ Dossett of Manchester, Ga.; a daughter, Delene Marcelle of Jeffersonville, Ind.; a brother, Larry J. Whitmer of Florida; a sister, Wanda Carter of Louisville; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton.
Deborah June Norris Egnew, 87, of Foster, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of cemetery Chapel Christian Church, Lenoxburg, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution and Pendleton County Homemakers. Her husband, James William Egnew, died in 1968.
Survivors include a sister, Lucille Norris Thomas of Mount Auburn; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at cemetery Chapel Christian Church, Lenoxburg. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Lenoxburg Cemetery. Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth, is handling arrangements.
Anna Mae Setters Feldhaus, 90, of Newport, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.
Arrangements are pending at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue.
George A. Franz, 81, of Latonia, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Hall Nursing Home, Cincinnati. He was a retired mechanic with Key GMC Truck Sales.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Franz; a daughter, Aloma Ann Williams of Ludlow; two grandsons and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Christine Gross, 64, of Alexandria, died Saturday at St. Luke hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of Gabbard Tabernacle, Butler. Her husband, Linuel Gross, died in 1980.
Survivors include sons, Earnie Lee Vires Sr. of Morning View, Steven Linuel Gross and Michael Joseph Gross, both of Alexandria; daughters, Rhonda Lynn Larison of Crittenden and Jacqueline Bouviare Funston of Silver Grove; a sister, Thelma Riley of Taylor Mill; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Ethel M. Kerr, 83, of Covington, died Sunday at her home.

William Mason, 73, of Florence, died Saturday at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hazard.
He was a retired police officer with the Covington Police Department, and a member of Golden Rule Lodge No. 345 F&AM, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 1 and the Covington Retired Policemen's Association.
His wife, Yvonne Mason, and a daughter, Sherry Carbone, both preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Tammy Wilcoxson and Cindy Bunch, both of Covington, Terri Snow of Florence and Vicki Couch of Hyden; sons, John Mason of Burlington, Ed Mason of Union and William H. Mason of Florence; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Lillian Rose Oldham, 91, of Falmouth died Saturday at Edgemont Manor Nursing Home, Cynthiana. She was a member of Falmouth Baptist Church and Pendleton County Senior Citizens. Her husband, Joe Oldham, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Dottie Florence of Falmouth; sons, Joe Oldham Jr. of Falmouth and Charles "Cookie" Oldham of Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother, Leslie Delaney of Milford, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation will begin there at noon Tuesday.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.
Isabella C. Rizzardi, 95, of Fort Wright, died Sunday at St. Charles Care Center, Covington.

Ronnie Thurston, 43, of Florence, died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a manager with Deter's Co., Florence.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Thurston; a daughter, Stephanie Thurston of Florence; a son, Michael Thurston of Michigan; his mother and stepfather, Donna and Russell Berfalk of Sault St. Marie, Mich.; sisters, Lavonda Larue of Sault St. Marie, Shelia St. Onge and Rosalyn Thurston, both of Michigan; and brothers, Richard Thurston, John Thurston and Gary Thurston, all of Michigan, and Mike Thurston of Florida.

Louise Reveal Tolar, 80, of Fort Mitchell, died at 10:24 a.m. Friday at Highlands of Fort Thomas nursing home.
She was a former board marker with J.H. Hill & Co. stockbrokers in Cincinnati and a former owner of Sarge's Restaurant in Ghent.
Her husband, Arthur D. Tolar, died in 1983.
Survivors include daughters, Rebecca Tolar Webster of Fort Thomas and Gail Tolar Keam of Lexington; brothers, Eugene Reveal and James Reveal, both of Charleston, W.Va.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Highland cemetery Chapel, Fort Mitchell.
Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Audrey Faye Herbert Watson, 65, of Fort Thomas, died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medial Center South, Edgewood.
She was a retired bookkeeper with St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
A daughter, Susan Korn, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Sterling Watson; daughters, Judy Busser of Orchard Park and Lisa Stieby of Florence; sisters, Austie Bryant and Carol Harden, both of Dayton, Nancy Howell of Crossville, Tenn., and Alice Matteoli of Crestview; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Alexandria Funeral Home.

Foster A. Wilhoite, 87, of Warsaw, died Saturday at Gallatin Health Care Center, Warsaw.
He was a carpenter and farmer, and a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Richard Wilhoite and Donald Wilhoite, both of Warsaw, and Edward Wilhoite of Dayton, Ohio; a brother, Frank Wilhoite of Owenton; and a sister, Eula Savage of Dry Ridge.
