Frances P. McNeill, 82, homemaker and volunteer
Frances P. McNeill, 82, of Ludlow, a homemaker and regular volunteer at the Covington Senior Services Center, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington.
Mrs. McNeill had 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
"Her loves were her family and the Covington Senior Center, " said Mrs. McNeill's son, Gordon "Butch" McNeill of Independence.
"She always wanted to help people. She enjoyed being with people. That was her big thing. She liked having fun with people.
"She was a great family person and was especially fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren."
Mrs. McNeill often volunteered five days a week at the senior center.
"It was one of her biggest things, " said her son. "She helped with Meals on Wheels and helped arrange trips for seniors to take."
Mrs. McNeill's husband, Gordon McNeill, died in 1997.
Survivors include daughters, Janet Gardiner of Bromley and Fran Drohan of Ludlow; and sons, Ronald McNeill of Independence and Frank McNeill of Covington.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home in Ludlow.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sts. Boniface and James Church in Ludlow.
Memorials may be made to the Covington Senior Services Center.
Kenneth G. Alsip, 86, of Florence, formerly of Covington, died Saturday at Florence Park Care Center, Florence. He was retired from the L&N; Railroad, a member of Steele's Chapel Christian Church, Corbin, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include Hazel Bingh Alsip; sons, Keith Alsip of Independence, Darrell Alsip of Georgia and Don Taylor of Indiana; daughters, Anita Stephan of Fort Mitchell and Darlene Rice Carr of Williamsburg; a brother, Earnest Alsip of Corbin; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at O'Neil Funeral Home, Corbin. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Worley Cemetery, Corbin.
Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, is handling the local arrangements.
Marcella June Nickerson Bare, 60, of Augusta, died Friday at Augusta Health Care Center. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include brothers, Dave Nickerson and Johnny Wayne Nickerson, both of Augusta.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Augusta. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brooksville Cemetery.
Arthur H. Berendsen, 78, of Dayton, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a tool and die maker with General Motors in Hamilton, Ohio, and a member of St. Bernard Church in Dayton, Dayton Eagles, Democratic Club, Happy 55 Club, Bellevue Vets, United Auto Workers union and Fraternal Order of Police Campbell County Lodge No. 10.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Pettie Berendsen; and a brother, William Berendsen of Dayton.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard Church, Dayton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue. Casie Marie Boles, 17, of Taylor Mill, died Saturday at her home. She was disabled.
Survivors include his parents, Timothy Paul Boles and Brenda Kaye Boles of Taylor Mill; a sister, Jessica Lynn Boles of Taylor Mill; a brother, Timothy Michael Conrad of Falmouth; and grandparents, Catherine Boles of Ludlow, and Donald and Gustava Goins of Cincinnati.

Jim Bob Brady, 48, of Petersburg, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was an employee of Belleview Sand and Gravel.
Survivors include a son, James Scott Brady of Florence; daughters, Sarah Brady of Cincinnati, Jamie Brady and Emily Brady, both of Petersburg; his parents, Sebern and Hazel Brady of Petersburg; a sister, Bonnie Grote of Petersburg; and a grandson.

Thomas Ray Teiran Christopher, son of Mike and Connie Kells Christopher of Corbin, died shortly after birth Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
Other survivors include grandparents, Emmett and Barbara Kells of Lavonia, Ga., Virginia and Donald Adams of Berry, John Moore of Corinth, and Randall and Cathy Christopher of Huber Heights, Ohio; and great-grandparents, Jack Bowen of Williamstown, and Richard and Rachel Christopher of Fairborn, Ohio.

Jerry Dunaway, 58, of Corinth, died at 7:05 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. He was a retired welder with Johnson Controls in Georgetown, and attended Hinton United Methodist Church. A son, Jeffrey Shawn Dunaway, died in 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Betty C. Dunaway; a daughter, Shella Martin of Corinth; sisters, Joy Jenkins of Sadieville, Jean Shelton and Brenda Walton, both of Louisville, Carol Shuler of Corinth, Berthita Jones of Owen County and Donna Green of Georgetown; brothers, William T. Michael Wayne Eggleston, 45, of Covington, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at his home. He was an employee of Nelson Tree Service, Covington, and a Marine Corps veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Brown Eggleston; a son, Michael W. Brown of Covington; daughters, April Back of Newport, and Bridget Danyel Eggleston of Covington; his mother, Mary Eggleston of Covington; brothers, Roger Eggleston of Glencoe and Robert Eggleston and Larry Eggleston, both of Erlanger; and sisters, Lillie Rickels of Kempner, Texas, and Margie Reeves and Pat Ensminger, both of Covington.

Harriet Elizabeth Hawkins, 71, of Cynthiana, died Saturday at Hospice Care Center, Lexington. She was a retired nurse's aide and a member of St. James AME Church, Cynthiana. She was a member of the church missionary and stewardess boards.

Hawkins; sons, Maurice Frazier Hawkins and Darrin Keith Hawkins, both of Cynthiana; a daughter, Vanessa Elizabeth Hawkins of Louisville; brothers, James Willis of Springfield, Ohio, Eugene Willis of Cynthiana, and Billy Willis of North Carolina; a sister, Pauline Watson of Cynthiana; and a grandson.

He was a truck driver with United Parcel Service in Cincinnati, a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Fort Mitchell, and a former member of Mother of God Church, Covington. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Lueke; sons, Donald Lueke of Milford, Ohio, and Franklin J. Lueke of Fort Mitchell; daughters, Sharon Berger of Vill Hills, Sandy Lenihan of Latonia, and Diane Hoffer of Fort Mitchell; a brother, Melvin Lueke of Florence; sisters, Mary E. She was a retired clerk with Railroad Express Agency of Cincinnati, and a former member of St. Aloysius Church, Covington. Her husband, Donald W. Streitenberger, died in 1993.
