Joseph W. Zieverink, took care of his family
Joseph W. Zieverink worked 32 years printing forms for Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati.
"He was the biggest tease in the whole wide world, " said his wife, Mary O. Rich Zieverink.
But she said her husband also took his position as spouse and father seriously.
"He worked three full-time jobs when our four children were little so they did not want for anything, " she said.
Mr. Zieverink, 84, of Villa Hills, died Saturday at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills.
Mr. Zieverink was a native of Covington and an Army veteran of World War II.
He loved to paint and crayon pictures - mostly of animals.
A daughter, Elizabeth Ronnebaum, died in 2000.
Other survivors include a daughter, Lynn Kloeker of Fort Wright; sons, Joseph A. Zieverink of Lexington and Stephen Zieverink of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, John Zieverink of Covington; a sister, Dorothy Callhan of Clearlake, Calif.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial is 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mother of God Church in Covington.
Visitation will begin there at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be in Floral Hills cemetery in Taylor Mill.

Blanche M. Aubrey, 82, of Erlanger, died Monday at her home. She was a sales clerk with the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport gift shop.
Her husband, Harry Aubrey, died in 1959.
Survivors include sons, Brent Aubrey of Erlanger, Howard Aubrey of Burlington and Thomas Ackemyer of West Union, Ohio; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Cremation will be at Southwest Ohio Crematory, Milford, Ohio.

Stanley C. Brauch, 65, of Newport, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Brauch; sons, Joseph Brauch and Timothy Brauch, both of Newport, and Patrick Brauch of London; a daughter, Carrie Brauch of Newport; and a granddaughter.
Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Church, Newport.

Susie Downton, 20, of Cold Spring, died Saturday of injuries suffered in an ATV accident in Cold Spring. She was a student at Northern Kentucky University and worked at Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati.
Survivors include her parents, Wanda and Jim Downton of Cold Spring; sisters, Angle Wright of Westerville, Ohio, Deena Downton and Jamie Downton, both at home; grandfather, Alfred Stacy of Alexandria; and fiance, Shawn Allen of California.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery.

James Harold "Putty" Elliott Sr., 76, of Florence, died Monday at his home. He was an auto body repair specialist with Rockcastle & Thompson-MacConnell Cadillac.
Survivors include his wife, Betty E. Randall Elliott; a son, James H. Elliott Jr. of Villa Hills; a daughter, Linda Gilker of Charleston, W.Va.; brothers, Charles Tippie Elliott of Covington, John Franklin Elliott of Crittenden, Thomas Elliott of Newport, and Stanley Elliott of Columbus, Ga.; sisters, Bernice Bergelt of Latonia and Marie Blackby, Flora Lou Haffer and Hattie Mae Ballman, all of Florence; and four grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Kara Foster "K.F." Ellis, 90, of Owenton, died Sunday at Owenton Manor, Owenton. He was a farmer and a World War II veteran.
Survivors include a brother, J.B. Ellis of Owenton; and a foster brother, William Wood of Owenton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald Funeral Home, Main Street, Owenton. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Owenton.
Willie Mae Snodgrass Gross, 81, of Dry Ridge, died Sunday at Grant Manor Nursing Home, Williamstown. She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Roy T. Gross, and a son, Bruce Maurice Gross, both preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters, Betty Lou Gross of Dry Ridge and Helen Joy Duncan of Greenwood, Ind.; a son, Roy Wayne Gross of Indianapolis; a stepson, Roy Gilbert Gross of Ocala, Fla.; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Crittenden.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

Mary Lou Jones, 47, of Warsaw, died Friday at her home.
She was disabled and was a member of South Fork Christian Church, Verona.
Survivors include a son, Jason Jones of Warsaw; brothers, Joe Jones of Verona and Steve Jones of Oiltrough, Ark.; sisters, Betty Bayer of Warsaw and Joyce Masters of Verona; and a grandchild.

Anne E. "Sug" Mulligan, 72, of Florence, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
She was a shoe saleswoman with the Potter Shoe Co. in Cincinnati for 20 years.
Survivors include a son, Gary L. Mulligan of Alexandria; a daughter, Pat Mulligan of Florence; two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.

Pearl Greene Proeschel, 68, of Butler, died Sunday at her home.
She was a member of Flour Creek Christian Church, a past secretary of the Woodmen of the World and a former chairwoman of the American Cancer Society.
Her first husband, Floyd Greene, died in 1992. Sons, Kenny Greene and Randy Greene, died in 1982 and 1999, respectively.
Survivors include her husband, Karl Proeschel; sons, Steve Greene of Falmouth and Jeff Greene of Butler; stepsons, Andy Proeschel of Foster and Hans Proeschel of Butler; sisters, Wanda Lee Grover of Amanda, Ohio, and Freda Wilson of Hillsboro, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Flour Creek Christian Church, Butler. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Charles Edward Sheats, 66, of Cynthiana, died Monday at Hospice Care Center, Lexington. He was a former owner of Pine Villa Restaurant, a former insurance agent and a real estate broker. He was an agent with Lee and Co., Cynthiana, and was a member of Cynthiana Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Withers Sheats; a daughter, Deborah S. Linville of Shelbyville; sons, Charles W. Sheats and Thomas E. Sheats, both of Cynthiana; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana.

Christine Anderson Smith, 85, of Williamstown, died Sunday at Grant Manor Nursing Home, Williamstown.
She was a homemaker and a member of Crittenden Baptist Church and the church Women's Missionary Union.
Her husband, James Harold Smith, died in 1984.
Survivors include sons, Darrell W. Smith of Crittenden, Ronnie K. Smith and Warren L. Smith, both of Dry Ridge; a sister, Thelma Leigh of Georgetown; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Thomas Mark Sticklen, 48, of Brooksville, died at 7:49 p.m. Aug. 12 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville.
He was an insurance agent with Monumental Life Insurance and a former director of the Bracken County Chamber of Commerce.
He was a past president of the Brooksville Lions Club, a member of St. James Church in Brooksville, and a former Brooksville volunteer fireman and emergency medical technician.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Sticklen; his mother, Bea Heinrichs Sticklen Bare of Brooksville; brothers, Jim Sticklen of Germantown, Paul Sticklen and David Sticklen, both of Brooksville, and Fred Sticklen of Chesapeake, Va.; sisters, Mindy Sticklen of Cold Spring, Margaret Branam of Brooksville and Cathy Cropper of Mays Lick.

Julianna Marie Tolle-Bartlett, 2 weeks, daughter of Brian Bartlett and Melissa Tolle of Park Hills, died Saturday at Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati.
Other survivors include a brother, Zachary Toras of Park Hills; and grandparents, Darlene Bartlett of Covington, Karen Young of Wilder and Gene Tolle of Mount Olivet.

He was a maintenance worker with the Kentucky State Highway Department.
