Eldor F. Buelow, 76, published March 15, 2006
Eldor F. Buelow, 76 of LaValle, died Friday, March 10, 2006, at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Hillsboro. He was born on Nov. 7, 1929, in Waupaca County, Wisc., the son of Emil and Grace (nee Grossklaus) Buelow. On Dec. 8, 1953, he was united in marriage to Vera Brewer in Richland Center. Eldor proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp during the Korean War. He worked very long hours hauling livestock. He enjoyed horses, riding and dealing. He enjoyed traveling, especially the bus tours which they took every year. He always drove candy apple red Ford trucks. Eldor was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lime Ridge.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vera Buelow of LaValle; children, Elden (Laura) Buelow of Hillpoint; Joyce (Ken) Lietz of Reedsburg; Nancy Blackburn of Reedsburg; Kathy Lueck of Wausau; Eldwin Buelow of LaValle; and Lloyd Buelow and special friend, Laurie, of LaValle; nine grandchildren, Eric, Alan, Susan, Bobbi, John, Eugene, Candice, Corey and Chelsea; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Sara, Anna, Alissa and Nathan; brothers, Bordon (Mae) Buelow of Mauston, Russell Buelow of Union Center and Walter Buelow of Elroy; sisters, Beverly Buelow of Madison, Jean Ziech of Reedsburg and Inez (Delbert) Westedt of Hillpoint; many nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Arley Ziech and Ethan Brewer; and a sister-in-law, Marian Buelow.
Funeral services for Eldor Buelow were conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lime Ridge with Rev. Richard Agenten officiating. Burial followed in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Lime Ridge with military graveside rites conducted by the Cazenovia American Legion Post 491. Friends called on Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Jerald H. "Jerry" Kile, 53, published March 15, 2006
Jerald H. "Jerry" Kile, 53 of Wisconsin Dells, died on Sunday, March 12, 2006, at University Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 23, 1952, in Reedsburg, the son of Orville and Gertrude (nee Hamburg) Kile. Jerry was a 1970 graduate of Webb High School. He then served with the U. S. Navy for four years. Jerry worked as a mechanic at the Riverview Boat and Water World for many years. He enjoyed working on his cars, NASCAR and listening to country music.
Survivors include four sisters, JoAnn Anderson of Baraboo, Marilyn (Dennis) Cummings of Black Earth, Pam (Harley) Koenig of Reedsburg and Teresa (Gerald) Stemper of Reedsburg; one brother, Michael Kile of Loganville; eight nieces and nephews; a stepdaughter, Kim Seidman; two step-grandchildren, Bree and Lance; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Helen Hindson; his parents; and a step son-in-law, Bruce Seidman.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2006, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Christopher Miller officiating. Interment with military rites will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg. There will also be a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the church.

Vera E. McWilliams, 98, published March 15, 2006
Vera E. McWilliams, 98 of Reedsburg, formerly of LaValle died on Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. She was born on April 9, 1907, in Madison, the daughter of Charles and Caroline 'Carrie' (nee Thomson) Pugh. She graduated from Reedsburg High School the class of 1928. She was married
to Harvey G. McWilliams on Nov. 3, 1928, at the Advent Christian Parsonage in Baraboo. This marriage was blessed with three children. Together they farmed in the LaValle area and enjoyed 76 years together before Harvey died on April 13, 2005. She was a member of the Advent Christian Church in LaValle and belonged in the choir and the Helpers Union at the church. She was a member of the old Booster Club, the Larkin Club and Homemakers. She is remembered as always smiling.
She is survived by her children: Robert (Delores) McWilliams of Reedsburg, Ruth (Armond) Hamburg of LaValle and Richard (Sandra) McWilliams of Janesville; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Ray; two great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Arlene and Marie; a sister in infancy, Mary; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert McWilliams, Julia McWilliams, Harry (Velma) McWilliams and Obed (Hazel) Steffens.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the Advent Christian Church in LaValle with Pastor Richard Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaValle. Friends called on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home and again on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The family requests memorials of remembrance be made to the Advent Christian Church in LaValle or a memorial contribution of your choice.

Richard A. Montgomery, 74, published March 15, 2006
Richard A. Montgomery, 74 of LaValle, died Monday, March 13, 2006, at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo. He was born on May 5, 1931, in Rock Island, Ill., the son of Arthur and Alice (nee Anderson) Montgomery. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, retiring after 20 years of service. He was employed as a pipe fitter at Rock Island Arsenal for over 23 years. He was united in marriage to Mary Litty at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lime Ridge. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in LaValle. Richard was also a member of the LaValle American Legion Post #242. He collected cans and donated the money to charities like the VA and Legion and was known around LaValle as the "Can Man." He loved wolves, and sponsored a wolf relocation through the DNR.
He is survived by, his wife, Mary Litty of LaValle; daughter, Richarda (Ed) Hodge of Elizabethton, Tenn.; step-children, Linda (Perry) Davis of Rock Island, Ill., Merry (Robert) Stedman of Davenport, Iowa, Sam (Janet) Litty of LaValle, Matthew (Debbie) Litty of Mauston, Michelle (Bob) Peters of Mauston, Michael (Val) Litty of Wonewoc; three grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; brother, William Montgomery of Waterloo, Iowa; nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Montgomery; and two step-daughters, Phyllis Litty and Nancy Aguado.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Richard Montgomery will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2006, at Holy Family Catholic Church in LaValle with Father Lorin Bowens officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn cemetery in LaValle with military graveside rites to be conducted by the LaValle American Legion Post 242. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. A rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m.

Lawrence Raedel, 75, published March 18, 2006
Lawrence Raedel, 75 of Wisconsin Dells, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in the comfort of his own home with his family by his side.
Lawrence was born April 3, 1930, in Honey Creek Township of Sauk County, the son of Alfred and Ida (nee Wawrok) Raedel. He attended Elder Ridge Grade School and graduated from Reedsburg High School. In April of 1956 he married
Ruth Alsmo in McFarland. Lawrence was a farmer for many years and also worked at Big Joe Manufacturing, Wisconsin Dells as a welder. He was a handyman, able to fix anything including his hobbies of restoring old cars and Farmall H and M tractors. He loved farming and enjoyed raising beef cattle. His favorite things to do were big game hunting of which he harvested moose, bighorn sheep, elk and mule deer in his travels of British Columbia, Canada and the western United States. Lawrence was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Ruth; sons, Keith L. (Carolyn) Raedel and Kevin L. (Karen) Raedel both of Wisconsin Dells; brothers, Alfred W. (Robin) Raedel of Wisconsin Dells and Vernon Raedel of Prairie du Sac; sisters, Helen I. (Fred Martin) Meske of North Freedom and Evelyn Leake of Baraboo; grandchildren, Keith L. (fiance, Jackie Van Wagner) Raedel, Jr., Calvin (fiance, Elisabeth Geymann) Raedel, Milynda S. Raedel and Jacob L. Raedel; and step-grandchildren, Kevin and Adrienne Strange. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services were held Friday, March 17 at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Dells with the Reverend Craig Wolfgram officiating. Burial was at Spring Grove Cemetery, Wisconsin Dells. Visitation was held at the Picha Funeral Home, Lake Delton on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday at Bethany Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Joseph Russell Sloniker, 73, published March 18, 2006
Joseph Russell Sloniker, 73 of Reedsburg, died on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 12, 1932, in Westford Township, Richland County, the son of John P. and Doris M. (nee Mortimer) Sloniker. On Sept. 20, 1952, he was united in marriage to Laura B. Rabuck at the Valton Wesleyan Church. He sang with the Valley Tones for many years. He was also known for his sense of humor and quick wit.
He is survived by his sons, Merlyn Sloniker of Madison and John (Pat) Sloniker of Reedsburg; granddaughter, Leslie Sloniker of Reedsburg; sisters, Fern (Herb) Rabuck of LaValle and Annabelle (Jesse) Cox of Janesville; brothers, Leonard (Marlene) Sloniker of LaValle and Arnold (Evelyn) Sloniker of Beloit; sisters-in-law, Grace Rott and Ruby McQueen, both of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Laura B. Sloniker on Oct. 22, 1997.
Funeral services for Joseph Russell Sloniker will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2006, at the Valton Wesleyan Church in Valton with Pastor Terry Woirol officiating. Burial will follow in the Valton Cemetery, Woodland Township. Friends called on Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
