Shirley Lee Bray, 65, businesswoman
Shirley Lee Bray of Covington was a businesswoman and home maker much loved and respected by those who knew her best.
"She was very caring. She was very loving, " said a daughter, Linda Klaas of Taylor Mill.
"There wasn't anything she didn't do to make sure we had just about every thing."
Mrs. Bray died Saturday morning at University Hospital in Cincinnati. She was 65.
She owned C.S. Gradall Rental in Covington, a company that rented large construction machines, for 16 years. She retired last year.
Mrs. Bray collected dolls. She was a former member of Independence Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Bray, who died in 1972.
In addition to Ms. Klaas, Mrs. Bray is survived by her husband, Clifford "Jock" Bray; daughters, Bonnie Bray of Crestview Hills, Peggy Blevins of Demossville and Sandy Mangan of Bethel, Ohio; a sister, Marcella Marzy of Taylor Mill; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home in Latonia. Visitation will begin there at noon Tuesday.
Burial will be in Floral Hills cemetery in Taylor Mill.

Martha R. Gamm Beverding, 84, of Erlanger, died at 8:34 a.m. Saturday at Woodcrest Manor, Elsmere. She was a homemaker and worked in the planning department of Cincinnati Bell Telephone. She was a volunteer with St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington and a member of St. Henry Church, Elsmere.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Beverding; and a son, Greg Beverding of Erlanger.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry Church. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Entombment will be in St. Mary Mausoleum, Fort Mitchell. Eugene Elijah Creech, 45, of Erlanger, died Wednesday in Shelby County, Ala., in an auto accident.
He was a civil superintendent with Everclear Communications, Independence, and a member of Florence Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sharie Pelfrey Creech; a daughter, Seana Creech of Laken heath, Fla.; a son, Ryan Creech of Torii Station, Okinawa, Japan; his mother, Mary Alice Taylor Creech of Florence; brothers, Wayne Creech of Louisville, David Creech of Geilenkirchen, Germany, and Phillip Creech of Crittenden; a granddaughter and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
John C. Eckert, 74, of Melbourne, died at 7:59 p.m. Saturday at his home. He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Co. in Batavia, Ohio, and a Marine Corp veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Mains Eckert; daughters, Sharon Daniel of Brooksville, Donna Barker of Melbourne and Robin McCann of California; sons, John Eckert of Covington and Steve Eckert of Ross; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alexandria Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Alexandria Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northern Kentucky, 1403 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, Ky. 41075.
James Eggleston, 90, of Hebron, died at 10:39 p.m. Saturday at his home. He was a retired machinist with Lodge and Shipley Co. and a deacon with Hebron Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Wilson Eggleston; sons, Tom Eggleston, Jimmy Eggleston, Doc Eggleston, Billy Eggleston and Wayne Eggleston, all of Hebron; a daughter, Bessie Vines of Florence; 43 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Jimmy R. Howard, 51, of Carrollton, died Saturday at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville. He was a salesman with Earl Floyd Ford in Carrollton and a member of Carrollton Christian Church, where he was a former board member.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Butts Howard; a daughter, Ashley Froman of Carrollton; a son, Andy Howard of Ghent; his mother, Madge Howard Bergkamp of Carrollton; a brother, Ricky Howard of Carrollton; stepsisters, Patricia Davis of Jackson, N.H., and Ruth Covington of Vilas, N.C.; and a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Carrollton Christian Church. Inez Kelch, 93, of Florence, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at Florence Park Care Center, Florence. She was a member of Hilltop Church of Christ, Taylor Mill. Her husband John "Tom" Eugene Kelch, died in 2001.
Survivors include sisters, Erin Gose and Olivette Guitteau, both of Florence.

William Jay Kemper, 39, of Dry Ridge, died Friday at his home. He was a former employee of Hardees and Grant County Foods, and was a member of Bullittsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jayson Tyler Owens of Owenton; a daughter, Claressa Dawn Smith of Owenton; his parents, Betty and William J. Kemper of Dry Ridge; brothers, Roy Kemper, Mark Kemper and David Ritchie, all of Dry Ridge, and James Kemper of Falmouth; and a sister, Jennifer Ritchie of Dry Ridge.

Patsy Ann Key, 59, of Highland Heights, died Friday at her home. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Jacob S. Key; daughters, Victoria Key of Highland Heights and Rhonda Key of Southgate; sons, Steve Key and Perry Key, both of Cincinnati; brothers, James Poe of Demossville, and Jerry Poe, William Poe and Charles Poe, all of Newport; sisters, Linda Steinhauer of Brookville, Fla., and Helen Bonhaus of Dayton; and four grandchildren.

Margaret Jacobs Miller, 88, of Covington, died Saturday at Woodcrest Manor, Elsmere.

Frances Roark, 78, of Taylor Mill, died Sunday at her home.
She was a retired employee of Kelly Brothers Home Center in Latonia and a member of Latonia Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Women's Missionary Union.
Survivors include her husband, Malvin "Mal" Roark; sons, Bob Roark of Walton and Jay Roark of Erlanger; brothers, John Giganti of White Plains, N.Y., Frank Giganti of Middletown, N.Y., and Carmine Giganti of Pocono Pines, Pa.; sisters, Bertha Mazzillo of New York City, Viola Chirelieson of New York City, and Terri Perillo of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Ramona James Howard Roberts, 66, of Augusta, died at 6 a.m. Saturday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville. She was a homemaker and a member of Augusta Christian Church. Her husband, Earl B. Roberts, died in 1992.
Survivors include a son, David Earl Roberts of Augusta; sisters, Marcella McDowell of Augusta and Martha Hamm of Silver Grove; two grandchildren and one step-grandchild.

Phillip C. Smith, 57, of Erlanger, died Thursday at his home.
He was a general auditor with Century City Inc., Century City, Calif., and a member of Lighthouse Freewill Baptist Church, Erlanger.
Survivors include his wife, Lena Cupp-Smith; his mother, Mabel Smith of Cincinnati; and a sister, Marilyn Siebert of Centerville, Ohio.

Warren A. Snyder, 83, of Bellevue, died Friday at his home. He was a service technician with Olivetti Inc. and an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include her husband, James Stephens; brothers, Ralph Sullivan of Latonia and Paul Sullivan of Butler; sisters, Wilma Russell of Falmouth, Edith Priddy of Louisville and Marlene Brown of Butler; and four grandchildren.

William Howard Walton, 46, of Hebron, died Friday at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a former receiving clerk with Park Place Entertainment in Mississippi.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Rauen Walton; his mother, William Harry Walton of Fort Thomas; a brother, Michael Walton of Florence; and sisters, Carol Schulkers of Silver Grove and Dolores Kasee of Erlanger.
