Wanda Lee Houston, loved farm
Wanda Lee Pennington Houston loved the Walton family farm she grew up on so much, she never left it.
Family meant more to her than anything else. "It was her thing, " said her daughter Barbara Mosmeier.
Most recently, Ms. Houston was excited about her grandson, Matt Houston, getting an appointment to West Point. She was proud of all her grandchildren, but she was especially proud that Matt got this appointment, Mosmeier said.

In her younger days, Ms. Houston loved working in the fashion industry. She often modeled the latest styles while working for Shillitos department store.
Modeling was something she was very proud of, said Mosmeier.
She also loved to cook and sew, and was so good at it she won several 4-H awards.
Ms. Houston carried her love of sewing into her adult years. She spent many hours quilting and presented every one of her children and grandchildren with a homemade quilt.
Also a cat lover, Mosmeier could not remember a time when there was not at least one cat in the house. And if a stray wondered in, it usually got adopted.
