Sister Angelique Wigman, educator, social worker
Sister M. Angelique Wigman, former principal and teacher at Our Lady of the Highlands school in Fort Thomas and a lifelong social worker, died Thursday at the Sisters of the Good Shepherd's Pelliter Hall in Fort Thomas. She was 85.
Sister Angelique was born Frances Marie Wigman in 1916 in Montana and joined the Sisters of Good Shepherd when she was 21.
The order worked with troubled girls and Sister Angelique taught and administered in schools in Fort Thomas, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Co lumbus, Louisville and Detroit. She spent three years helping to run a support home for girls in Guam in the early 1980s.
She was a history teacher and directress of girls at Our Lady of the Highlands school and home for troubled girls in Fort Thomas from 1961 to 1964, then worked in Grand Rapids before returning as principal of Our Lady of the High lands in 1967 and 1968.
"She was a major-domo, a take charge person, " said her sister, Sister Denise Wigman, who also lives at Pelliter Hall.
"She was very positive in what she talked about. She worked with the girls to help them with their studies and to get jobs, " Sister Denise said.
"She was just an all-American girl. She liked swimming, and sew ing and teaching."
After leaving Our Lady of the Highlands, she worked in Grand Rapids, Detroit and Columbus, where she retired from teaching. She returned to Fort Thomas in 2000.
She died of a heart attack.
Survivors include a sister, Sis ter Denise Wigman, Sister of Good Shepherd, of Fort Thomas; and a brother, Anton Wigman of Harri son Township, Michigan.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pelliter Hall Chapel, 930 Highland Ave., Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Pelliter Hall. Burial will be in St. Stephen Ceme tery, Fort Thomas.
Rev. Nicholas Arthur Besse, SJ, 78, of Fort Thomas, died Monday at Carmel Manor Nursing Home, Fort Thomas. He was a priest, taught at Loyola University, Chicago, and other various Jesuit Universities and high schools. He was ordained in California in 1956.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Carmel Manor Nursing Home Chapel, Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the nursing home chapel. Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue, is handling the arrangements.
Douglas Matthew Blaschke, 35, of Latonia, died Friday at his home. He was a shipping clerk for Firestone Building Products Co., Latonia.
Survivors include his wife, Teri Blaschke; sons, Douglas Matthew Blaschke of Lexington and Christopher Joseph Blaschke at home; father and stepmother, David and Ethel Blaschke of Covington; mother, Mary Louis Blaschke of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a brother, David R. Blaschke of Covington; and a sister, Lora Louise Bolton of Covington.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Church, Taylor Mill. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia. Alma Arleen Brown, 93, of Highland Heights, formerly of Fort Thomas, died Monday at Northern Kentucky Care and Rehabilitation Center, Highland Heights. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Victor H. Brown, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Victor "Bud" Brown of Cold Spring; a daughter, Bonnie Huber of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren and nine great-children.
Services will be at noon Monday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
Dorothy Brown, 78, of Florence, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.
Arrangements are pending at Stith Funeral Home, Florence.
Eleanor B. Faehr, 92, of Villa Hills, died Thursday at Madonna Manor, Villa Hills. She was food director with Mount St. Joseph Mother House, Cincinnati, and a member of Knights of St. John Ladies' Auxiliary, St. Mary's Ladies Society of the Cathedral, St. Gemma Guild, Covington, and The Cathedral Garden Club.
Survivors include her sisters, Betty McMillin of Covington, Marian Johnson of Latonia and Vivian Pope of Fort Wright.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Madonna Manor. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the nursing home. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright. Evelyn Fay Glarden, 74, of Alexandria, died at 8:33 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a retired finisher with Monsanto Co., Cincinnati.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer L. Glarden; a son, Robert Glarden of Fairfield, Ohio; brothers, Jack Anderson and Norman Anderson, both of Alexandria; sisters, Annabell Trapp, Barbara Sue Gilb and Lucille Sharp, all of Alexandria; and a granddaughter.

Mary Elizabeth Horn, 85, of Latonia, died at 7:20 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
She was a retired beautician for L.S. Ayres, Cincinnati and a member of Holy Cross Church, Latonia. Her husband, Robert George Horn, died in 1999.
Survivors include daughters, Beverly J. Castellano of Burlington and Joyce Ann West of Latonia; sisters, Jane Fibbe, Ruth Schumacher and Eileen Curley all of Latonia; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Terry Johnson, 43, of Bellevue, died Wednesday at his home.

Saundra M. Meyer, 66, of Florence, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medi cal Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired controller for Johnson Control, Florence. A son, Scott Meyer, died in 1961.
Survivors include her husband, Charles B. Meyer Sr.; sons, Charles B. Meyer of Latonia and Guy Meyer of Walton; daughters, Diane Sandel of Elsmere, Thelma Meyer of Warsaw and Sherill McDaniel and Joelyn Rose, both of Florence; a brother, Dennis Ballard of Elsmere; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Cremation will be in Fares J. Radel Funeral Home and Crematory, Cincinnati. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice. Cremation Society of Greater Cincinnati, Newport, is handling the arrangements.
Goebel Moore, 74, of Carrollton, died Thursday at his home. He was a self-employed electrician, co-founder and honorary member of Carroll County Rescue Squad, co-founder of Kentucky Vanguard Association and Carroll County Civil Defense, a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church, Carlisle, and an Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Moore; a son, Larry Moore of Carrollton; daughters, Brenda Crawford of Campbellsburg and Linda Hicks, Ruth Burchfield, Mary Stout, Pam Jeffries, Sheila Perry and Kathy Crawford, all of Carrollton; sisters, Minnie Kelly, Mary Pyles and Ellen Hicks, all of Carrollton; 30 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton.
Odessa Call Ober, 100, of Covington, died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. She was a retired elementary school teacher for Park Hills Elementary School, and Sixth District School, Covington, and a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, Covington, Northern Kentucky Retired Teacher's Association and Kentucky Retired Teacher's Association.
Survivors include her husband, Larry E. Ober of Covington.

Elizabeth Robertson, 91, formerly of Covington, died Thursday at Rosedale Manor, Covington. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Latonia. Her husband, Roy Robertson, died in 1999.
Survivors include her daughters, Fannie Kidd of Fort Wright, Ora June Bowen of Florence and Christine Wilkinson and Willa Cokley, both of Burlington; sons, James Robertson of Highland Heights and Edward Robertson of Florence; sisters, Edith Littrell of Five Points, Tenn., and Eva Hargrove of Minor Hill, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home. Dorothy Romans, 81, of Carrollton, died Sunday at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton. She was a member of Carroll County Senior Citizens Inc., and a member of Carrollton Christian Church. A grandson, J.J. Romans, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Duel Romans; a son, John Romans of Carrollton; a sister, Nancy Hughes of Carrollton; brothers, James Hoskins of Greenwood, Ind., Rubin "Tuck" Hoskins of Indianapolis, Ind., and Harbin "Boy" Hoskins and Bob Hoskins, both of Bedford; and a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Carrollton Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton, and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Owenton Cemetery.
Rebecca Lynn Rowe, daughter of Beverly and Thomas Rowe of Independence, was stillborn at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
Survivors include her parents; brothers, Randall Marshall Jr., Justin Marshall and Thomas Rose II, all at home; maternal grandmother, Opal Bush of Park Hills; and paternal grandparents, Carol and Roy Rowe of Cincinnati.

Irene Noble Snow, 61, of Ghent, died Friday at her home. She was a retired farmer and homemaker. Her husband, Stanley William Snow, died in 1990, and a daughter, Theresa Snow, preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters, Nana Robbins of Warsaw and Donna Snow, Debbie Patterson, Marsha Kinman Stella Snow, all of Ghent; sons, Jackie Snow of Ghent, Jamie Snow of North Vernon, Freddie Snow of Rushville, Ind., and Stanley Snow and Bobby Snow, both of Carrollton; mother, Gertrude Fugate Noble of Sanders; sisters, Glenda Mae Adkins of Sanders, Billie Jean Scarlet of Carrollton, Judy Brock of Bethel, Ohio, and Mary Napier of Amelia, Ohio; brothers, Junior Neace of Oneida, Willie Noble of Cincinnati, Bobby Noble of Sanders, Wilbur Dean Noble of New Carlisle, Ohio, and George Noble and Warren Noble, both of Carrollton; and 22 grandchildren.
