Amy Elizabeth Diaz
Amy Elizabeth Diaz, age 33 of Mankato, born October 19, 1970 to James and Evangeline (Ahern) Henderson in Farmington, MN. She graduated from Austin High School in 1989 and from South Central Technical College in North Mankato. Amy was employed by Hickory Tech and worked part-time at Mickey’s Sports Bar and Grill in Mankato. She enjoyed golf, softball, camping and being a Vikings fan.
She is survived by her children, Ryan and Ashley Diaz of Mankato; parents James and Eva Jo Henderson of Flandreau, SD; three sisters, Julie Henderson of Landcaster, CA, Kathy (Jimmy) Kinsey of St. Mary’s, GA, Susan Shirley of Homer, GA; two brothers, David (Kim) Henderson, John (Angie) Henderson all of Flandreau, SD; father of her children, Leon Diaz of Mankato; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Dorotha F. Cramblit
Dorotha F. “Dort” Cramblit, age 89 of Mankato and formerly of rural Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Lake Crystal Mortuary in Lake Crystal and one hour before services at the church on Monday. If so desired memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Lake Crystal.
Dorotha Fern Wilson was death by her parents and a sister, Mildred Larson.
Anna M. Borneke
Anna M. Borneke, age 104, Interment is in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church.
Anna was married Clarence Borneke at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Madison Lake.
Anna was a homemaker, and during her working career she worked at the G&B; Grill in Eagle Lake and for the Eagle Lake Post Office. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Eagle Lake, Ladies Aide and Eagle Lake Senior Citizens.
Anna especially loved spending time with her family and in her leisure time she enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and crossword puzzles.
Anna is survived by son, Robert (Joyce) Borneke of Nicollet; daughter, Lavern (Kenneth) Freitag of Pemberton; daughter-in-law, Donna Borneke of Eagle Lake, 8 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; and 3 nieces.
She was preceded in died Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Immanuel – St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at Mankato Mortuary, with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Sterling born February 18, 1943 to Emmett and Elna (Hicks) Edwards in Mapleton, MN. He attended Junior High School in Mapleton. Harlan enlisted in the U.S. Navy on July 29, 1960 and served aboard the USS Douglas H. Fox until January 22, 1964. He transferred to the US Naval Reserve, inactive duty until July 28, 1966. Harlan death by his parents and two brothers.
Aloysius Haefner
Aloysius “Allie” Anthony Haefner, age 81 of Mankato, Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m., Monday at Mankato Mortuary, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation continues one hour before services at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial plaque will be purchased for the ISJ Hospital.
Allie was death by his parents; infant daughter, Sharon; brother, Jerome; and sister, Barbara.
Mary Ann Chirpich
Wells, MN resident, Mary Ann Chirpich, age 80, born February 29, 1924 in Minnesota Lake Township, Faribault County, MN, to Henry and Anna (Zimny) Voss. She attended country schools and high school at Good Counsel Academy in Mankato. On October 3, 1944 she married life on their farm near Wells where Mary Ann loved taking care of her family. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, bowling, playing cards, doing counted cross-stitch embroidery, and crocheting. She was a former 4-H leader, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, John; her children, Patricia Chirpich of Wells, MN, Peg Elmer (Bill) of Puyallup, WA, Rita Woeste (Dan) of Melrose, MN, Allen Chirpich (Marg) of Detroit Lakes, MN, Jeanne Fischer (Bill) of Northfield, MN, Paula Chirpich (Bob Johnson) of Brooklyn Park, MN; grandchildren, Cedric, Carlin, Jennifer, Kristine, Cate, Ben, Allyson, Aaron, John, Marie, Katy and Marti; 14 great-grandchildren; her sister, Doris Weber of St. Peter, MN; her brother, David Voss (Carol) of Minnesota Lake, MN; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in died Wednesday, February 9, 2005 as the result of an automobile accident.
Memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2005 at Hilltop United Methodist Church in Mankato with Rev. Randy Koppen officiating. Memorials may be given to Hilltop United Methodist Church or the donor’s choice. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
