Thomas “Tom” Lapp
With dignity and courage Tom left this world on Friday, January 7, 2005. A Remembrance Celebration will be held Saturday, January 15, at 1:00 p.m. at the American Red Cross, 105 Homestead Dr., Mankato. His final resting destination will be in Monterey Bay California.
Tom and his wife Beth lived in California until they and their children moved to Mankato in 1993. Tom enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandsons, his dog, reading woodworking, laughing and being with friends.
Tom also loved exploring Minnesota and took many road trips with his friends Bob and Sue Meyer.
Tom is survived by his wife, Beth; sons, Tom Lapp and his wife, Jenny and their son Brenden of LeSueur, Brandon Lindsey and his son Noah of Mankato; his daughter, Katie of Mankato; his faithful dog Shauna; and his sister, Becky (Jerry) Seal of Kansas; mother-in-law, Dolores Lindsey; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand nephews all of California and his many friends. He was preceded in died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2005 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato, with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service Thursday at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation continues one hour before services at the church on Friday. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
Marge was died. Marge was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its CCW.
Marge is survived by two sons, Roger “Pete” (Patti) Stierlen of North Mankato, Robert “Bob” (Jo) Stierlen of West Mankato; one daughter, Mary Jo “Jo” (Tom) Neubert of North Mankato; seven grandchildren, Terri (Bob) Taylor, Traci (Rick) Sellner, Staci (Ryan) Marshall, Bryan Neubert, Jodi Neubert; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Alfred (Darlene) Loeffler of Rosemount, MN; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Stierlen of North Mankato, Elizabeth Loeffler of rural Mankato; nieces, nephews
Preceded in died Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at his residence. A time of remembrance will be held 2-5 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2005 at Mankato Mortuary.
James was death by his father and a son, Jeremiah.
Richard A. Chambers
Richard A. Chambers, age 83, of rural Good Thunder Born October 17, 1921 to Arthur and Francis Chambers in Ottawa Kansas, Richard attended Technical College and studied Broadcast engineering in Omaha, Nebraska. He death by his parents, his wife, one sister, one brother and grandson, Joel Murphy.
Harold "Arnie" Arneson
Mankato resident, Harold “Arnie” Arneson, age 93, Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
Harold was married Doris Miller in Mankato. Harold worked as a teacher, a postal worker, and he was the owner of the Oleander Bar & Restaurant in Mankato. He loved music, Minnesota & Indian history, deer hunting, fishing, going to the casino, and socializing. He was a member of both the Eagles and Moose Clubs in Mankato.
He is survived by 1 son, Robert Arneson in Mankato; 1 daughter, Patricia Duncanson of Woodbury, MN; grandchildren, Aron Arneson, Adam Arneson, Tim Duncanson and his wife Alice, Sue Dickens and her husband Jim, Larry Duncanson, Katy Brose and her husband Brad, great-grandchildren, Carly, Josh, Wade, Kelsey, Janelle, Jessica, Lotti, Beau, Levi, Tyson; great-great grandchild, Lillian Duncanson; 1 sister, Ruby Arneson of Edina, MN; niece, Bev Loeffers. He was preceded in died Wednesday, January 5th at his home in Mankato.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 8th at First Congregational UCC with Rev. Albert H. Thompson III officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 7th at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will be at Glenwood born May 9, 1920 to Loren A. and Edna G. Swenson in Mankato, Minnesota. He grew up in Mankato attending Mankato Public Schools and Mankato State Teachers College. He then attended the University of Minnesota graduating in 1943. In October of 1944, he died Friday, January 7, 2005, in Lincoln Twp., MN near Lake Crystal.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13 at Woodland Hills Chapel with Rev. Mary Iverson officiating. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and continues one hour prior to the service. A memorial fund has been established at Valley Bank for George and Judith.
George was born July 6, 1942, in Mankato to James M. and Verna M. (Oleson) Hathaway. She worked a short time for Onan of St. Peter and Jostens of Waseca. Judith enjoyed going for long rides with George, line dancing, country music, attending music festivals, she also enjoyed Elvis Presley and John Wayne movies. She was a great cook, and canned vegetables and meat.
George and Judith were death by their parents, a son at birth, 1 grandson, brothers and sisters.
