Joseph P. Zamarripa
Joseph P. Zamarripa, age 80, of Mankato, formerly of West St. Paul, MN Interment in Fort Snelling National born June 22, 1924 in New Braunfels, Texas to Martin and Josefa (Perez) Zamarripa and moved to Fisher, MN as a young boy. He joined the U. S. Army during World War II and served in Germany. Joseph was united in marriage to Anna Romero on September 2, 1950 in Mason City, IA. They lived in West St. Paul, where Joseph worked for Armour & Co. for over 30 years. Anna death by his wife, three brothers and four sisters.
Wesley F. Schultz
Wesley Fredrick Schultz, age 71, of St. Clair, Cemetery, rural Mankato. Visitation from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and continues one hour before services at church on Thursday. Memorials are preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Decoria born January 5, 1933 to Henry and Iva (Ward) Schultz in Beauford Township, Blue Earth County. He served his country during the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1955. He was united in marriage to Marlene Ida Schull on May 13, 1957 at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Wesley was employed by the Blue Earth County Highway Department for 25 years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and had served on the church council. Wesley was a member of the St. Clair American Legion Post #475 and a former member of the St. Clair Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening.
Wesley is survived by his wife, Marlene; three children, Alan (Peggy) Schultz of Watertown, S.D., Lori (Stephen) Bruender of Mankato, Bradley (Kay) Schultz of St. Clair; seven grandchildren; brother, Robert (Ethel) Schultz of Madelia; sister, Delores Bumgarner of Minneapolis; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in died Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
A memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 17, at Belgrade Avenue United Methodist Church in North Mankato with Rev. James Roe officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 16 at the church.
Chuck was married Linda May Youell in Franklin, MN. He was the owner and operator of Chuck’s Body Shop, Inc.
Chuck loved racing stock cars, going to Daytona Beach and Daytona 500, he also enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, and the outdoors. He was a member of IMCA, and a Eagle Lake Firemen for 21 years retiring in 1997.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Linda of Eagle Lake; sons, Charles “Chet” Ragan Jr. of Eagle Lake, Chad Ragan and special friend, Melissa Reinke of Eagle Lake; daughters, Cindy (Dan) Melchior of Eagle Lake, Christy (Dave) Keinz of North Mankato; grandchildren, Justin, Bryanna, Lyndsey, and Courtney; brothers, Dale Ragan of Rochester, Robert Ragan of Franklin; sister Yvonne Degner of Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in died Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the Mankato Lutheran Home. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Centenary United Methodist Church in Mankato, with Rev. Dean Wolf officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Cemetery in Mankato. Memorials are preferred to the Mankato Lutheran Home or to an organization of the donor’s choice.Manakto Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Maynard was died in March of 1975. Maynard later death by his first wife, Doris and one sister, Elva.
Gladys Krueger
Gladys Krueger, age 92, of Madelia and formerly of Lake Crystal, born December 2, 1912 to Grant and Mary Jane (Jones) Lewis in Lake Crystal. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School. Gladys was united in marriage to Alfred A. Krueger on December 3, 1931 in Lake Crystal. She was a homemaker and had worked for the Lake Crystal Health Care Center as a nurses aide. She was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Lake Crystal. She enjoyed sewing, church, traveling, playing cards, but most of all was her family.
Gladys is survived by three daughters, Bertha Larson-Kittleson of Mankato, Janice (Gene) Stevenson of La Mesa, CA, Mavis (Al) Ethans of Stanton, CA; three sons, Kermit (Beverly) Krueger of Stanton, CA, Richard (Pat) Krueger of Tehachapi, CA, Paul (Peg) Krueger of Brooklyn Park; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Martha Schulz of Alexandria, Gladys Lewis of Michigan; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in died early Sunday morning, January 9, 2005 at the Lake Crystal Health Care Center in Lake Crystal.
Funeral services 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church, Vernon Center, with Rev. Wanda Kothlow officiating. Burial in Lake Crystal born October 18, 1928 in Huron, SD to Emery G. and Laura (Meyer) Smith. He graduated from Rapidan High School in Rapidan, MN. He was united in marriage to Beverly A. Ericksen on April 15, 1949 in Rapidan; she death by his wife, a son, Scott in 1977, a brother and two sisters.
Helen M. Ganey
Wonderful wife, companion, and loving parent, Helen Margaret Ganey, age 80 of North Mankato, born June 24, 1924 to John and Alice (Whalen) Ryan in Streator, IL. She graduated in 1947 from the College of St. Teresa in Winona, MN. Helen was united in marriage to Raymond P. Ganey on June 25, 1949 in Evanston, IL. They lived in Chicago for 13 years before moving to Evanston, IL where they lived for 34 years. She worked as a secretary for Consumer Health Group and later was an administrative assistant for the Evanston Chamber of Commerce. In 1995 they moved to the Mankato area.
Helen greatly enjoyed watching birds, reading, the use of language, music, travel, nature, camping, the changing seasons, spring lace, and playing in her gardens. She loved letter writing and all who received her correspondence derived great pleasure.
In later years, Helen bravely and courageously struggled with many health issues. She was lovingly and gently cared for by the staff of the Mankato Lutheran Home.
