Florence F. Hicks
Florence Francis Hicks, age 84 of Mankato, Cemetery in Good Thunder. Visitation will be held from 2 – 5 p.m., Sunday at Mankato Mortuary with a 4:30 p.m., prayer service. Visitation continues one hour before services at the church on Monday. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or the donor’s choice.
Florence Hicks was death by her husband, Francis in 1982; two grandchildren, Jessica and infant grandson.
Patrick Hollar
North Mankato resident, Patrick D. Hollar, age 53, born May 31, 1951 in Rockford, IL to Henry and Dorothy (Silvius) Hollar. He earned a B.S. from Manchester College, Manchester, IN and a M.S from the University of Wisconsin Stout.
On October 15, 1977 Patrick death by his mother, Dorothy Hollar in January 1984.
Florence M. Zitzmann
North Mankato resident, Florence M. Zitzmann, age 80, Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Florence was married Cletus M. Zitzmann in St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springfield. Florence was a homemaker and in her early years she did clerical work for Springfield Milling Co. and Mankato Teachers Credit Union.
In her leisure time Florence enjoyed, ice skating, bowling, cards, and golf.
She especially loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and women’s circle.
Florence is survived by her husband, Cletus of North Mankato; daughter, Mary J. Randall (Danny) of Madison Lake; son, Tom Zitzmann (Deb Keller) of Minnetrista; grandchildren, Brent and Amber Randall, Lynn Keller (Chris Scott), Heidi Keller; great granddaughter, Peyton Scott; brothers, Ray Bielen (Marion), Ralph Bielen (Avona) all of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in died Friday, January 14, 2005 at Immanuel – St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato.
Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Committal service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at Pilgrim’s Rest born April 18, 1908 to Pastor Emil and Maria (Zieger) Schulz in Bom Jesus, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She moved with her family to Germany in 1912 and to the United States in 1913. She graduated from Mankato Commercial College and worked in an office in Mankato prior to her marriage. She was united in marriage to Carl E. Kuehne in rural Brewster, MN, on September 19, 1928. Hildegard became a naturalized citizen of the United States on June 11, 1940 in Mankato. She was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mankato where she attended church regularly and participated in several of its organizations. Hildegard enjoyed homemaking and carrying out the responsibilities of a mother and grandmother. She remained physically active until the fall of 2004, frequently walking several miles in a day.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Emily) Kuehne of Winter Haven, FL, Clifford (Cordelia) Kuehne of North Mankato; a daughter, Eileen Dellwo of New Ulm; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in died in infancy in Brazil, and one brother.
Charlotte S. Bye
Charlotte Suzanne Bye, age 72, of Mankato, born March 27, 1932 to Henry and Hannah (Elegaard) Runden in Hayward, Mn. She graduated from Albert Lea High School. She was united in marriage to Clifford O. Bye on November 5, 1950. After moving to Mankato, Charlotte worked in the office at Acme Carburetion until retirement. She enjoyed gardening with Cliff, playing cards, and spending time with her children and granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford; son, David (Patti) Bye; daughter, Diane (Jim) Mrotz all of Mankato; brother, Harold (Dawn) Runden of Albert Lea; 4 granddaughters, Kristin (Paul) Eberth, Tessa Bye all of Roseville, Lori Bye of Whitefish, Montana, and Ellie Mrotz of Mankato; and many close relatives.
Preceded in died Saturday, January 15, 2005 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. Ted Hottinger S.J. and Rev. Francis Kunz concelebrating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation continues one hour before services at church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Schola Foundation or an organization of the donor’s choice. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Louise was death by her husband, Allie, May 25, 2000; daughter-in-law, Darlene; four sisters, and three brothers.
Gerald "Butch" Gunderson
Gerald “Butch” Gunderson, age 64, of St. Peter, died suddenly on Thursday, February 23, 2012 in Northfield.
A memorial visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012 at NORTHVIEW – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the American Heart Association.
