Steven C. Parker
Steven Charles Parker, age 40, of rural Amboy, born September 11, 1964 in San Gabriel, CA to Charles and Harriet (Douglass) Parker. He graduated from Riverland Technical College in Austin. He was united in marriage to Janice Cook on March 1, 1986 in Temple City, CA. Steven was a deputy for the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Department for the past three years, and a member of the Blue Earth County Sheriff Posse. He was a former part-time officer for the Lake Crystal, Amboy, and Vernon Center police, and a member of the Vernon Center Fire Department He had also been employed with Johnson Fishing, Safariland Inc. in CA, and the San Bernadino Search and Rescue, CA. He attended the First Baptist Church of Lake Crystal. Steven enjoyed, hunting, fishing, camping, and ham radio.
Steven is survived by his wife, Janice; mother, Harriet Parker Conner of Murrieta, CA; sister, Becky (Dave) Ludt of Murrieta, CA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Barbara Cook of Monrovia, CA; two sisters-in-law, Susan (Mark) Conner of Santa Clarita, CA; Karen (Jeff) Warmuth of Arcadia, CA; brother-in-law, Dan (Robyn) Cook of Eagle, ID; eight nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Steven was preceded in died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at Nancy’s Comfort Kare, rural Kasota, MN.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5 at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Rev. Don Sarff officiating. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. born November 25, 1924 in Minneapolis to Oscar and Edith (Brunzell) Huldeen. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Minneapolis; and attended University of Minnesota at Morris and Mankato State University.
On June 27, 1946, Grace death by her husband, Marvin in 1986; 2 sisters and her parents.
Darwin Dean Cray
Darwin D. Cray, age 71, of North Mankato, born June 25, 1933 in White, South Dakota to Archie and Myrtle (Borgwardt) Cray. He was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, St. Clair. He graduated from St. Clair High School in 1951. Darwin was united in marriage to Patricia Hoffman on September 20, 1953 at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, North Mankato.
He was employed as an engineering technician for 38 years with MN Dept of Transportation. Darwin was very active with the AFSCME Local#280 and had been on Council 6 negotiating committee. He was an officer with the Minnesota Senior Federation.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato, where he had been a deacon, usher, improvement committee and Boy Pioneer leader. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, camping, traveling in all 50 states, cards, sports and spending time with his family.
Darwin is survived by his wife, Patricia; six children, Steven (Jane) Cray of North Mankato, Deborah (Stanley) Wills of Mankato, Gregory (Janet) Cray of Chanhassen, Brian (Brenda) Cray of Orlando, FL, Thomas Cray and fianceé, Patricia Robinson of North Mankato, James (Lisa) Cray of Savage, son-in-law, Dennis ( Melody) Leiding of Mapleton; 16 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Donald (Patti) McKibben of AZ, two sisters, Dorothy “June” (Duane “Jim”) Jones of AZ, Patti Roy of Mankato; sister-in-law, Jean Cray of AZ; aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
Connie Jean Birr
Connie Jean Birr, age 70 of Garden City, Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2005 at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Merle Kitzmann officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Barnards Valley View death by her son, grandson, and parents.
Jeanne Enter
Mankato resident, Jeanne Catherine Enter, 78, born, September 6, 1926 in Minneapolis to George and Louise Kroeger. On August 4, 1962, Jeanne death by her parents, husband, Wilbert in 1994, several brothers-in-law and sister-in-law.
Marie Beerling
Mankato resident, Marie A. Beerling, age 80, Entombment will be in Woodland Hills Mausoleum.
Marie was married Francis J. (Tony) Beerling. She was the mother of six children and worked as a physical therapy aid at Immanuel-St. Joseph’s Hospital. Marie had many interests. She enjoyed reading, baking, politics, current events, and she especially loved time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Marie is survived by 3 sons, Richard (Linda) of North Mankato, Thomas (Jill) of Mankato, John (Mary)of Bloomington; 3 daughters, Peggy Paape Thompson (Ron) of St. Peter, Catherine Heavens (Jim) of Dyersville, IA, Nancy Keenan (Kevin) of Arden Hills; 15 grandchildren; brother, Dan Sexton of Upland, CA; sister, Theresa Kohman of New Hope; and 7 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in died Friday, April 8, 2005 at Immanuel-St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Woodland Hills Funeral Home. born November 30, 1932 in Madison Lake, MN to Harry and Gertrude (Waldron) Strand. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1952. On September 18, 1970 he death by his brother, Tom and sister, Roberta.
