Marlene Marie Salinas, age 48, of Mankato death by her father, two brothers and two sons.
William Caldwell
William Frank Caldwell, age 81, of Delavan, MN, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday at St. John the Baptist Church in Mankato with Rev. Richard Colletti officiating. Burial will be in Calvary born October 10, 1910 to Henry and Dora (Echle) Turnhoffer in Winnebago, MN. She graduated from Winnebago High School in 1928. She was united in marriage to Robert Ginn on June 1, 1933 in Blue Earth. They farmed in the Guckeen and Blue Earth area until 1958. Florence was a waitress at Eibner’s Restaurant in New Ulm for 20 years.
Florence was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed flowers, dancing, crafting, and playing cards.
Survivors include her husband, Robert of North Mankato; three daughters, Ann (Gordon) Westermann of Mankato, Kathleen Tacheny of Elk Grove, CA, Mary (Larry) Beach of Sleepy Eye; one son, Richard (Janice) Ginn of New Ulm; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Friendship Village in Bloomington.
An 11:00 a.m. Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.
Les was married Margaret D. Brockmeyer at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato. They lived in Mankato, moved to Owatonna in 1970, and to Bloomington in 1994.
Les had been active at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Owatonna. He had been involved with the American Oil Association and the Mankato and Owatonna Lion’s Clubs.
Survivors include three sons and their wives, Dale (Carol) Hanson of Albuquerque, NM, Perry (Lynn) Hanson of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Samuel (Mirja) Hanson of Minneapolis; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Warren Brockmeyer of Mankato; nieces and nephews. Les was preceded in died Saturday, March 26, 2005 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
Inurnment will be at Woodland Hills Columbarium.
Robert was married Rose Unzeitig in Mankato where they spent their entire death by one brother and one sister.
Pete Manderfeld
Pete Manderfeld, age 56 of Mankato, Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Mankato Mortuary. Memorials are preferred to St. John’s Episcopal Church or to an organization of the donor’s choice.
Peter Joseph Manderfeld was married Elizabeth “Missy” Kozitza in Mankato. Pete was a self-employed truck driver and a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Missy; four children, Paul, Mark and Michael all of Mankato, Sara and her husband, Malcolm Morison of Colorado; a sister, Josephine “Tuppin” and her husband, O.D. Hauschild of Grand Rapids, MI; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in died Friday, April 1, 2005 at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato. Memorial visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m Monday, April 4, 2005 at Woodland Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospice.
Sharon was death by her father George Bass and father in-law Robert Bateman.
Melvin Bentdahl
St. Paul – Former Mankato resident, Melvin J. Bentdahl, 89, Cemetery, Hanska, MN.
Mr. Bentdahl was married Margaret Evenson March 1, 1941, at Rice Lake Lutheran Church, Linden Township near Madelia, MN. She was deceased November 19, 1991 in Mankato. Melvin resided in Mankato until August 2004 when he moved to Lyngblomsten Care Center in St. Paul, MN. Melvin loved traveling and gardening.
He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Mr. Bentdahl is survived by a son, Dean and wife Winnie of Mankato and daughter Marva Thurston and husband Murray of St. Paul; a brother Arnold of North Mankato; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Margaret; sons Leon and Wayne; 5 brothers and one sister.
