Virginia (Ginny) Lee Miles, only daughter of Willard and Audrey (Halstead) Miles, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at Hillcrest Health Care Center after a five year battle with cancer.
born in Lima, Ohio on May 10, 1949 to Carl and Evelyn Klaus. Her family moved to Santa Ana, California when she was 12 years old. She graduated from Santa Ana High School in 1967. She death by her parents, infant brother, a sister, and a sister-in-law.
Audrey & Willard Miles
Audrey Carol Miles, age 79 of Mankato died February 14, 2005, as the result of an automobile accident on February 12, 2005.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 24, 2005 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Mankato with Rev. Pam Serdar officiating. Burial will be in Tivoli born on May 7th 1925, in Lynd/Russell area, MN. She was united in marriage to Willard E. Miles on June 29, 1946 in Marshall, MN. They moved to Mankato, and she worked at Mankato Corporation. Audrey enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, playing cards, and her family.
Willard (Bill) E. Miles, son of Charles and Meta (Hanson) Miles, was death by five brothers, Melvin, Maurice, Harold, Charles, and Leonard, a sister, Millie Richie and his parents. Audrey was preceded in died Saturday morning (February 19, 2005) at Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. Randel Lubbers officiating. Burial will be in Lake Crystal born February 14, 1915 to John and Emma (Jones) Price in Judson Township, Blue Earth Co. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Vought on December 5, 1942 in Lake Crystal. Maldwyn was a lifelong farmer in the Blue Earth Co. before retiring in 1990. He was a former member of Jerusalem Presbyterian Church and a current member of First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal where he was a longtime member of its choir. Maldwyn sang for many weddings and funerals during his life. He enjoyed music, farming, baseball and a good joke.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Barbara) Price of St. James, Richard (Susan) Price of New Ulm; five grandchildren, Michelle, Darcey, Rich, Jon, and Brittany; three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Alicia, and Lily; one brother, Llewelyn Price of Hanska; two sisters-in-law, Ardella Price of Lake Crystal, Jo (Stanley Stokesbary) of Mankato; nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2005 at St. John Lutheran Church, Good Thunder with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer Jr. officiating. born November 14, 1914 to William and Marie (Een) Hasher in Medo Township, Blue Earth Co. She was baptized January 4, 1915 and confirmed June 30, 1929 at Medo Lutheran Church, Waldorf, MN. She graduated from Waldorf High School in 1932. She attended Mankato Beauty School in 1933 and was employed in Blue Earth and Waseca. She was also a teacher at the Mankato Beauty School. She death by her husband, LaVerne in 1981; granddaughter, Heather; and her sister, Alverna Freundenthal.
Victoria Afolayan
Victoria F. Afolayan, age 52 of Mankato, Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday (February 26, 2005) at Hillside Assembly of God Church (502 Victory Drive – Mankato) with Rev. Kevin Gunion officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Memorials of love may be given in lieu of flowers.
Victoria is survived by her husband, Dr. Johnson Afolayan of Mankato; two sons, Gideon and Gabriel Afolayan of Mankato; one brother, Rev. Dr. Isaac (Abigail) Owolabi of Ashville, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Bose Owolabi Fatigun of Nigeria, nieces, nephew, Noah Olanrewaju, and cousins.
She was preceded in died Friday evening, February 11, 2005 at the Medical Center of Aurora in Colorado.
A Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Survivors include four sons, Bradley Caswell of Phoenix, AZ, Randy and Diane Caswell of Aurora, CO, Greg and Judy Caswell of Eaton, CO, Tom Caswell of Parker, CO; two daughters, Pamela and Bruce Cowell of Parker, CO, Wendy and Dave Hensley of Parker, CO; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five brothers, Norm, Tom, Bob, Rick, and Steve; five sisters, Nancy, Harriet, Diane, Phyllis, and Karen; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in died Sunday February 13, 2005 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.
Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the services at church on Thursday.
Memorials may be made to ISJ Hospice Program, Presbyterian Church or to an organization of the donor’s choice.
Florence was married Milton Fastrup in South Dakota in March of 1947. They moved to Southern California and worked there many years.
After retirement, they returned to Mankato and Florence became a hospice volunteer. She was a loving and caring helper for 15 years. In 1998, Florence was the winner of the JCPenny Golden Rule award because of her service to the community through her volunteer activities. Florence was a member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church in Mankato. She enjoyed traveling, reading, floral gardening and volunteering.
Florence is survived by two sisters, Helen Griffith of rural Mankato, Dorothy (Marv) Rengstorf of North Mankato; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, an infant brother, and a brother-in-law.
